Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well.
I wanted to talk about Miyu's potential motherhood. First of all, this shouldn't have come out of nowhere; there were hints that it might happen, and someone even commented and guessed what she had planned, so it was expected.
Second, think about it this way: if Miyu were to have children, what would be the perfect time to do it? And what better time than right when the main cast of "Konoha Shinobi Brat" is born, a show in which the protagonists are participants? If not then, when else could it be? If it were later, then I feel it would have been better not to do it at all, but I have ideas and proposals for these two children that I don't want to discard, and if they're born too late, I won't be able to do them.
I hope you understand my point of view and way of thinking; without further ado, let's begin the chapter.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
As I was getting ready for the jonin council meeting, I heard a baby crying.
I looked in that direction and saw Tsunade with a black-haired baby who was crying and trying to grab her large breasts.
"This monster won't stop crying," Tsunade complained, rocking the baby, but to no avail.
"You weren't a mother once; why can't you figure out what's wrong?" I half asked and half mocked her.
"That was years ago, not to mention I had help from your father and servants; not to mention you were very calm, except for this source of screams," she justified herself as best she could.
I just shook my head and approached the two of them.
"I thought you wanted a grandchild; here it is, but all I hear you complaining about is him," I said, holding out my hands, making it clear I wanted him back.
"I was just getting my revenge, since I thought I'd never have one; I never thought you'd do something like this," she replied, handing me my son.
I simply lifted my shirt, exposing my breasts, and placed the baby's mouth on my nipple, and, as if it were factory-made, he began to suckle.
"Something's coming out, at least," Tsunade complained, watching.
"That bottle over there warming up is filled with my own breast milk," I replied, pointing to it.
"But how, if you didn't have a pregnancy or give birth or anything like that?" she asked in surprise.
"I'm a scientist. If I could create a child artificially, then I could create pills that produce pheromones that affect my hormones and that encourage me to breastfeed," I replied simply.
Hearing this, Tsunade could only groan silently as she watched.
Once he fell asleep, I handed my son to his grandmother and got ready again to leave for the meeting where they were going to decide who would be the new Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village.
"I don't know how long this will take, but if you need anything, there's more milk stored in the refrigerators, or if you want, I can give you some of those pills," I said, smiling.
"You're crazy; you'd better go. you're going to be late; we can talk about anything important that comes out of the meeting tomorrow," she told me, leaving the room with the warm bottle.
I just watched her leave; ask me why she took the bottle if the baby is sleeping so he won't be hungry and so she'll have to warm it up again, but then I remembered she was right. In my memory, the one who really took care of me was Dan, not Tsunade. It's not that she was a bad mother, but she wasn't a great one either, but given the time period, the gambling addiction, and the fact that I was quite young, it makes a little sense.
(Note: It says "take care of," not "raise"; they are two different things. I'm just saying here that Tsunade may not have very good maternal skills, especially being so young (back then she had a stronger and more explosive personality than she does now.)
...
The Third Ninja World War can be said to have ended, and I say "can" because technically it hasn't.
There are still ninjas on the borders defending against invading attacks, infiltration attempts, and a Kiri that hasn't completely surrendered.
But the major battles on the battlefield have finally ended, allowing the surviving ninjas to return home and lick their wounds.
This has also led to a reassessment of the war's effects and the resulting decline in the village's ninja skill level.
Many jonin, chunin, and genin died on the battlefield, with genin making up the majority of the casualties.
And as a consequence, young ninjas, many under the age of 18, perished en masse.
This was reported by the daimyo, who was quite upset, especially by the village's heavy losses. He maintained that, however much some facts might be twisted and manipulated, it was Konoha that started this great war.
First of all, Iwa and Suna went to other countries seeking new ways to adapt and expand their own territory, something Konoha neither liked nor considered beneficial. Therefore, using the pretext of requesting the construction of fortified strongholds to facilitate attacks on Konoha, Konoha instigated conflict between the villages, thus starting the war.
This, coupled with the hatred other villages harbored for Konoha, led to smaller villages being drawn into external conflicts once again. Furthermore, Kumo and Kiri joined the war with the intention of stealing resources wherever they could.
What could have been a conflict between Konoha and Suna and Iwa alone, stemming from an attempt to halt the advance of other villages, resulted in two more villages joining forces against Konoha, leading to the events we all know. In other words, if Suna and Iwa had actually done that, there would have been valid reasons for war, but there weren't. Faced with this "injustice," the other two villages joined forces.
With all these events, a scapegoat was needed, and who better than the leader of the very village that had caused it all?
In response, Hiruzen accepted full responsibility and resigned, leaving the position of Hokage open to anyone worthy of the title.
When I entered the meeting room, everything was already set; only I, as the leader of the Senju clan, needed to take my place.
"I'm late, sorry. I had an emergency involving a bucket of cold water, ten bananas, a homeless person, and a lot of toothpaste," I said, walking to my assigned position.
"What are you doing with all that stuff and calling it an emergency?" asked Tsume, the leader of the Inuzuka clan.
"Well, I brought a bucket of cold water to the corner of the lawless zone," I began to explain, but someone interrupted me.
"We don't have time for this nonsense. We came here to talk about serious matters," the old monkey scolded, frowning at the two of us.
I could have argued with him even though he was wrong, but since I wanted this to end as quickly as possible, I decided to stay quiet.
"Now that we're here, we can begin the voting for the new Fourth Hokage," Hiruzen declared, looking at everyone.
At that moment, Danzo raised his hand, drawing everyone's attention.
"No, Danzo, nobody wants you as Fourth Hokage. You can lower your hand," I mocked, making some people chuckle quietly while the mummy glared at me.
"I wasn't going to put myself forward as Hokage, but rather propose it to every shinobi," he said, sounding somewhat annoyed.
"Hmm, I don't think we're rushing to make proposals, but we do already have people in mind for the position, so I give permission to name names," the old monkey said, looking at his old comrade-in-arms. "Who do you propose, Danzo?"
"I propose the Snake Sannin, Orochimaru, as the next Fourth Hokage," he declared.
"I refuse," I immediately interjected; I wanted to continue speaking, but the former Hokage gestured for me to stop.
"First, let everyone submit their nominations, and then we'll look at the objections in more detail and calmly," he said, looking at me.
"Tch, it's a shame you're only now acting like a leader; now that you're retiring, you take several years to do so," I said out of sheer remorse.
Hiruzen simply sighed, looking down, sounding very tired.
"Who else is proposing a name?" he asked, looking at everyone.
At that moment, Fugaku raised his hand, drawing everyone's attention.
"I, as the leader of the Uchiha clan, nominate myself as the next Fourth Hokage," he said in a serious tone.
"How arrogant to nominate himself," someone whispered.
"I didn't know someone would do something like that," another person said.
"And what makes him worthy of the position? He was only a commander, even being somewhat junior to Orochimaru-sama, a legendary Sannin," yet another person chimed in.
I went to the side to talk to Choza, who was sitting next to me.
"Hey, Choza, what if you also put yourself forward as the next Hokage of the village?" I encouraged him.
"Hehe, that wouldn't be a bad idea, but I think I lack the achievements and strength to be in the same position you're considering for the job," he replied without taking offense, laughing at my joke.
At that moment, the Anbu commander appeared, raising his hand.
"I nominate Lady Miyu as the next Fourth Hokage," he announced.
Upon hearing that, my eyes and mouth widened in surprise, since I hadn't expected the Anbu to be willing to choose me as a candidate for Hokage. As the only Anbu with a vote in the room, they must have all agreed on who they would support for the position.
"He's not very young for the position; as I understand it, he's only 20, not so recent," I heard in a whisper.
(Note: Miyu and Minato are 4 years apart in age, and when Minato became Hokage, he was 24 years old).
"Maybe so, but that doesn't diminish his immense strength, which they say rivals that of the strongest in the Leaf Village," I heard another say.
"With all the power he has, it wouldn't be a joke to say he practically rules the entire village; all that's left is to make the title official," someone else whispered jokingly, since his physical and economic power wasn't a secret; he just didn't grasp its magnitude.
I listened to everything in silence.
At that moment, Shikaku raised his hand.
"I nominate Minato Namikaze as the next Hokage of the village," he declared.
"The Yellow Flash?" someone asked.
"With his strength and status, it's not a crazy idea," another whisper came.
"But isn't his age very different from Miss Miyu's?" people continued to speak in hushed tones.
"It's only a four-year difference; what does it matter? If Miss Miyu can do it, then Minato-sama can too."
"Silence!" roared the old monkey, asserting his authority and silencing everyone who was whispering or even thinking of whispering. "Does anyone else propose another candidate?"
His question went unanswered. Those who wanted to run for the position weren't on par with me or the other candidates, and those who were didn't want the job; Jiraiya was the prime example of this.
"Very well, then, let's decide among these four candidates to see who will be elected Hokage," he exclaimed to the audience, but I wasn't going to sit idly by.
I raised my hand, releasing my chakra, so they could take my turn, which they did.
"Yes, Miyu?" the old monkey asked.
"I don't think Orochimaru is a good candidate for Hokage," I stated, looking at the snake. "With all due respect."
"I wouldn't expect anything less from you," Pedomaru replied, smiling sinisterly.
"Orochimaru isn't capable of being Hokage for several reasons. First, he's a poor leader; the biggest proof of this is his tenure as commander of the ninja unit, marked by numerous failures, zero concern for his subordinates, and the fact that they had to come to his aid multiple times because he couldn't make any progress in the war on his own." My statements were strong enough to elicit nods from several ninjas, especially those who knew about this situation.
"He has no morals or attachment to the village and its people; that makes him dangerous, since he could do things that could harm the village and wouldn't care, not to mention he has absolutely no charisma. The only good thing about him is that he's a Sannin and a scientist, and let me tell you, he's not the strongest of the three, and I'm a much better scientist than him, so he's not the best in those areas." My words silenced the room, with no one knowing how to contradict them; not even Danzo knew what to say to defend his candidate.
"So I imagine you're just a Hokage candidate, doing this so you can get nominated," one of the old men mocked, trying to discredit my words. What was his motive? I have no idea. Perhaps it was simply revenge for the time I threatened to kill them.
"That's not true, because what I also wanted to say is that I'm voluntarily withdrawing my candidacy for Fourth Hokage." That caught everyone's attention.
"May I ask why you made that decision?" Shikaku asked, out of sheer curiosity.
"Yes, and right now I'm a mother to a one-week-old baby."
"..." No one said anything; everyone remained silent, processing what I had just blurted out, at least those who didn't know. Until the moment of my son's birth, only Fugaku, Jiraiya, Kushina, Minato, Tsunade, and Hitori knew.
"The Hokage position is very demanding, and knowing that I'm a first-time mother, I need to raise my son, and he needs his mother, so I prefer to take care of my family, which is something the position would prevent me from doing, which is why I'm withdrawing from the list of candidates."
"..." Silence.
"How is that possible? When did that happen?" asked Choza, who was standing next to me.
"Miyu had a child; no wonder she was missing," a voice said.
"No, I remember seeing her months ago, and she didn't show any signs of pregnancy," another said.
"..." "Stupid, it could have been a transformation jutsu to hide it."
"Someone knew about this," someone else said.
"I knew about it," Jiraiya replied. "I can confirm it's true."
"Yes, I can too," added Minato, who was standing in a corner trying not to get in the way.
The old monkey looked at me with a hurt expression; I didn't know if it was because of the Hokage's comment about neglecting his family or because I hadn't told him about my son, but I'm not on good terms with him now, so I didn't care.
With a sigh, he raised his hand, silencing everyone.
"Well, anything else to add?" he asked, to which no one replied. "If no one else accepts Miyu's resignation, who agrees that Orochimaru should be disqualified as a candidate?"
Practically everyone raised their hand; Among those who didn't vote were the Hokage himself and his advisors, including Orochimaru and other jōnin. Even Jiraiya raised his hand; he may be his friend, but that didn't change the fact that he had a point.
"Alright, Orochimaru is disqualified as a candidate for Hokage," he declared, moving on to the next round. "So, with two candidates, who chooses Fugaku as the next Hokage of the village?"
All the Uchiha, some from the Hyūga clan, and random jōnin raised their hands, but no one else did.
Fugaki covered her eyes with her hair at the village's lack of acceptance of the clan.
"Alright, now, who chooses Minato as the next Hokage of the village?" At that moment, practically everyone in the room raised their hand, including me.
And it was common sense: Minato was the best candidate among the four, and the publicity surrounding his achievements had done its job. Yellow Flash, my teammate and Jiraiya's student, defeated a thousand Iwa ninja; possesses the most overpowered technique in the current ninja world; and fights the Eight-Tails, A, and the Third Raikage—though that last one isn't entirely true. Everything was in his favor.
"Alright, that's settled: Minato will be the next Hokage of the village; the ceremony will be in three days. That concludes the meeting. "With that said, everyone started to leave.
"This was faster than I thought it would be," she said, somewhat surprised.
"There are two of us," said a voice behind me; it was Jiraiya, who was standing next to Minato. "How about we go celebrate Minato's appointment as the new Hokage? You can bring Tsunade and your son; I don't think Kushina will mind."
"I don't think so, but we'll have to eat lunch out, since I don't feel like cooking, to be honest," Minato commented with a somewhat tired smile.
At that moment, several jōnin surrounded Minato to congratulate him.
"Well, I think we shouldn't linger a bit before leaving," Jiraiya said, seeing this.
"I don't mind; I don't think it'll be a problem if we take a while to get back. "What he didn't know was that at that very moment, Tsunade was pulling her hair in frustration, not knowing why the baby was crying.
