Alice remains silent for several long moments after hearing Greed's name.
I almost forgot that I even told her about that since I got lost in my own thoughts for a few moments.
So even someone like her has some sort of shock to hearing his name.
"I don't think anyone has survived an encounter with Greed before," Alice finally says as she begins walking again.
"I wasn't exactly planning on surviving either," I reply while catching back up beside her.
She lets out a quiet sigh.
"I can believe that," She says, still in disbelief.
Neither of us says another word after that.
The road stretching away from Leone gradually becomes quieter with every step we take.
The wagons that once traveled between kingdoms become fewer until eventually they disappear altogether.
Only an old stone road remains beneath our feet.
The evening breeze brushes through the fields surrounding us while the distant mountains slowly grow larger.
