Early morning.
Kitazawa opened his eyes.
He quickly felt the soft, warm sensation in his arms.
Lowering his head, he saw Kurenai Yūhi's exhausted face.
To make it up to her, he had pulled out all the stops—he hadn't even gone to see Tsunade in the second half of the night.
The price for that, however, was that Kurenai had been thoroughly satisfied, her whole body pushed to a different kind of near-limit experience.
Kitazawa raised a hand and placed it on her forehead.
Pale green chakra flowed in.
Moments later, Kurenai woke up.
The instant she saw Kitazawa, a trace of fear flashed unconsciously in her eyes.
Although she was already quite strong, it still wasn't enough.
The gap between her and Kitazawa was truly the difference between heaven and earth—who knew how vast the distance was.
She thought of Tsunade's suggestion.
If she didn't cooperate, it really would be hard for her to hold her own alone.
"Good morning," Kitazawa said with a smile.
"Too tired. Don't want to move," Kurenai shot him a glare and replied.
"Then I'll help you get dressed."
Kitazawa kissed her on the cheek and got out of bed.
Kurenai sat up, propped her fair legs together, and sat at the edge of the bed watching him.
Kitazawa changed clothes, picked up some bandages, and wrapped her thighs and wrists.
After finishing, he patted her thigh lightly, signaling for her to stand up.
Kurenai stood.
Her entire body was wrapped in nothing but bandages.
Kitazawa swallowed unconsciously.
"Well? Do I look good?" Kurenai asked, the corners of her lips lifting slightly.
"Do you even need to ask?" Kitazawa laughed as he picked up her clothes. "You look incredible."
"Smooth talker."
Kurenai raised her arms, acting like a clothes rack.
"I'm telling the truth."
Kitazawa helped her get dressed.
"I'll help Rina-san make breakfast," Kurenai said, pushing the door open and heading for the kitchen.
After washing up, Kitazawa returned to the living room.
Karin was there, but Tsunade wasn't.
"Still asleep?"
Thinking that, Kitazawa walked toward Tsunade's room.
He pushed the door open directly.
The next second, Tsunade lay sprawled on the bed in a starfish position, coming into view.
She was wearing a nightdress, but the neckline had been pulled open by gravity, revealing a fair curve that gently rose and fell with her breathing.
Kitazawa walked up and slipped his hand beneath her nightdress.
Warmth spilled through his fingers.
Tsunade jolted awake at once.
She immediately grabbed his wrist and glared at him, clearly annoyed.
"Time to eat, Tsunade-sensei," Kitazawa said, blinking.
"I'm retired. Can't you let me sleep in?" Tsunade sat up and kicked him once as she spoke.
"Even if I didn't wake you, Shizune-senpai would," Kitazawa said with a grin.
"..."
Tsunade was momentarily speechless.
She stood up and slipped out of her nightdress.
Caught off guard, Kitazawa's breathing stalled.
It couldn't be helped—Tsunade's figure was simply too voluptuous. The visual impact was overwhelming.
Tsunade glanced at him and, smiling, started putting on her clothes.
As she dressed, she deliberately made a few alluring movements.
Especially when she bent down to pick up the teal outer robe from the floor, giving it a vigorous shake.
Kitazawa's scalp tingled.
But there was nothing he could do.
After all, Kurenai and Shizune were already up making breakfast.
He couldn't linger too long.
"Just you wait tonight!"
Kitazawa tossed out a fierce line and left Tsunade's room.
Tsunade snorted softly—far from afraid, she was actually looking forward to it.
After all, she had slept alone the night before.
After breakfast, Kitazawa brought Kurenai, Shizune, and Uzumaki Rina to the Hokage Building.
After exchanging greetings, they split up and headed to their respective offices.
"Good morning, Konan," Kitazawa said casually as he entered the Hokage's office.
Konan stood and walked over to him.
Kitazawa reached out and wrapped an arm around her slender waist.
After biting her rosy lips lightly, he patted her soft hips and then let her go.
Konan licked the corner of her lips, feeling a lingering sense of dissatisfaction.
"Any important documents today?"
Kitazawa asked as he sat behind the Hokage's desk.
"This one," Konan said, picking up a file and handing it to him.
Kitazawa opened it and skimmed through.
The contents were about the Five Kage Summit.
The Fourth Raikage had already arrived in the Land of Iron with Mabui and the others.
Ōnoki, Rasa, and Mei Terumī had also set out. Only Konoha showed no movement at all.
After finishing, Kitazawa set the file aside.
He had already turned Mabui, Maki, and the others. All that remained was to wait.
A knock sounded.
"Come in."
Kitazawa had already guessed who it was, so he stood up.
"Kitazawa-sensei."
Hyūga Hinata and Hyūga Neji walked in.
"Konan, I'm heading out for a bit," Kitazawa said, then took Hinata and Neji to the Forest of Death.
In the original story, there was a path in the ninja world that led directly to the moon.
But its exact location was never mentioned.
Kitazawa didn't bother looking for it.
He planned to use the most straightforward method—Double Kamui.
Double Kamui could open a spatial tunnel.
[Current Mission: Defeat Ōtsutsuki Toneri.]
[Mission Reward: Ōtsutsuki bloodline purity +40%.]
[Accept?]
Kitazawa raised an eyebrow and accepted without hesitation.
Forty percent in one go—added to the previous thirty percent, he would soon reach one hundred percent.
At that point, he should possess a true Ōtsutsuki bloodline.
Coming back to his senses, Kitazawa immediately activated Double Kamui.
Space twisted.
Very quickly, a special door materialized out of thin air before them.
"Get ready for combat," Kitazawa warned. "Once we pass through, there's a high chance we'll be attacked."
Hinata and Neji immediately drew their bows.
Kitazawa stepped through the doorway.
His vision blurred, and he arrived on the barren surface of the moon.
Unlike the moon of his previous life, this place had air—you could breathe. It wasn't a vacuum.
After all, the ninja world's moon was created by the Sage of Six Paths.
Before that, there was no concept of a moon at all.
"This is the moon," Kitazawa said casually.
Hinata and Neji stared in disbelief.
They had come to the moon—who knew how far it was from the ninja world?
"Our mission target is on the moon?"
Neji asked in shock as he realized it.
"They're here," Kitazawa said, spotting dense clusters of puppets flying toward them.
These were the puppets controlled by Ōtsutsuki Toneri.
Hinata and Neji activated their Byakugan and immediately locked onto the puppets.
Suppressing their surprise, they bent their bows and drew the strings.
Multiple Arrows!
Countless Yin Release arrows shot out.
Explosions filled the sky.
Though these puppets were fairly strong, they were no match for Hinata and Neji.
Inside the lunar palace, Ōtsutsuki Toneri lifted his head and sensed Kitazawa's group.
Though blind from birth, he could perceive through sensory abilities.
"How did they suddenly appear on the moon?"
Toneri frowned in confusion.
He could sense that the pathway from the ninja world to the moon had not been used.
"Since they've come knocking, I won't hold back," Toneri said calmly.
Though the three looked powerful, he wasn't worried—he possessed the Tenseigan Core.
Toneri turned and walked into the main hall.
A massive purple eye stood at the center of the chamber.
He stopped before it and turned to face the entrance.
Soon, Kitazawa, Hinata, and Neji reached the doorway.
"So people really live on the moon?"
Neji remarked curiously as he studied Toneri.
But his attention was quickly drawn to the giant Tenseigan.
He felt a power that was both familiar and unfamiliar.
Was it related to the Byakugan?
Neji frowned in confusion.
"Hinata, long time no see," Toneri said, ignoring Kitazawa and Neji.
Hinata looked stunned.
She didn't remember ever meeting him.
"It's normal that you don't recognize me," Toneri said casually. "I only saw you once when you were little."
Kitazawa wasn't surprised.
In the original story, Toneri had visited the ninja world on Hinata's third birthday.
That was why he later abducted her and intended to marry her.
"Hinata, your Byakugan has exceptionally high purity. You shouldn't stay in the ninja world," Toneri continued. "Stay on the moon with me."
"I refuse," Hinata replied without hesitation.
"That's fine. You'll agree eventually," Toneri said, placing his hand on the Tenseigan.
Countless purple chakra spheres appeared.
They shot toward Kitazawa and the others like arrows.
These were mind-control spheres.
"Still… so confident," Kitazawa shook his head.
From start to finish, Toneri hadn't spared him or Neji a glance.
Expressionless, Kitazawa raised his hand.
Shinra Tensei!
Invisible repulsive force surged outward.
All the spheres were blasted back instantly.
"How do you have the Rinnegan?!"
Toneri's heart jolted as he hastily activated the Tenseigan.
A purple flash erupted.
The Tenseigan devoured both the spheres and the repulsive force.
"Who are you, really?"
A sense of dread crept into Toneri's mind.
"The one who'll kill you," Kitazawa replied.
Toneri instantly sensed danger.
Without hesitation, he poured all his chakra into the Tenseigan.
Brilliant purple light flared, forming five Truth-Seeking Orbs before him.
Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
The orbs spun into a halo, unleashing a terrifying storm.
"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion?"
Kitazawa immediately entered Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
"Why do you possess both the Rinnegan and the Tenseigan?!"
Toneri exclaimed in disbelief.
Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
Kitazawa raised his hand.
Nine Truth-Seeking Orbs appeared out of thin air.
An even more violent storm surged toward Toneri.
The two storms collided like raging bulls.
The palace shook violently, barely holding together before shattering apart.
"Damn it!"
Toneri gritted his teeth and pushed the Tenseigan to its limit.
Purple light blazed like a sun, dispersing the oncoming storm.
Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
A golden beam extended, slicing through the storm like a blade.
Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
Kitazawa clenched the golden blade and hurled it.
The two golden beams collided and exploded.
In an instant, heaven and earth seemed to split.
The already collapsed palace was reduced to total ruins—nothing intact remained.
The only thing unchanged was the Tenseigan.
Toneri stood before it, drenched in sweat, gasping for breath.
"This Tenseigan really is impressive," Kitazawa said calmly.
"That's impossible!"
Toneri shouted as he stared at Kitazawa, completely unharmed.
He couldn't believe someone could withstand the Tenseigan so easily.
Even if Kitazawa had the Tenseigan—
Under normal circumstances, the Tenseigan's power far surpassed it!
After all, it was created by the combined strength of the entire Ōtsutsuki clan.
"The testing ends here. Time to get serious," Kitazawa said, clapping his hands and entering Sage Mode.
"That was just a test?"
A powerful sense of crisis surged through Toneri.
Sage Art: White Rage Technique!
A red dragon appeared before Kitazawa.
It detonated, releasing blinding light and invisible shockwaves.
Toneri tried to activate the Tenseigan—but froze in place.
Agonizing pain tore through him.
He clutched his head and screamed.
Kitazawa walked up to him.
Raising his hand, he activated the Preta Path's chakra absorption.
In the original story, Nagato had absorbed Killer B's tailed-beast cloak and reverted to his youthful form.
Kitazawa's purpose was simple—to drain Toneri's chakra.
"No!"
Toneri felt his chakra rapidly draining away.
Paralyzed by White Rage, he could only watch helplessly.
Once the chakra was gone, his life force began to drain as well.
His screams grew weaker, then vanished.
He collapsed backward, reduced to a withered corpse.
Hinata and Neji stared at each other in shock.
They were completely stunned from start to finish.
They didn't know who Toneri was, nor what the Tenseigan even meant.
Kitazawa didn't absorb Toneri's chakra into himself, instead condensing it in his hand.
Then he turned to the Tenseigan.
He placed his left hand on it.
His perception spread.
He raised an eyebrow.
The Tenseigan's power was enough to allow two Hyūga clan members to awaken the Tenseigan.
That solved the problem of Hanabi being unable to awaken it.
[Current Mission: Help Hyūga Neji and Hyūga Hinata awaken the Tenseigan.]
[Mission Reward: Ōtsutsuki bloodline purity +30%.]
[Accept?]
Kitazawa looked surprised.
So easily gaining one hundred percent Ōtsutsuki bloodline purity?
On second thought, it made sense.
After all, Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo and Hamura weren't that far behind Kaguya in strength.
"Neji, come here," Kitazawa called.
"Kitazawa-sensei," Neji immediately stepped forward.
"Don't resist."
Kitazawa raised his right hand.
The chakra he had gathered from Toneri flowed into Neji's eyes.
Neji instinctively closed his eyes, discomfort surging in.
He endured it, vaguely sensing his eyes changing.
What was happening?
Questions flooded his mind, but now wasn't the time.
"Your tolerance is limited," Kitazawa quickly realized.
Before long, Neji's face twisted in pain.
He couldn't absorb and process so much chakra at once.
After a moment's thought, Kitazawa used a sealing technique to seal the chakra around Neji's eyes.
Then he wrapped them with medical bandages.
"It'll take about a month to gestate," Kitazawa warned.
"Gestate what?"
Neji couldn't help asking.
"The Tenseigan," Kitazawa explained. "The ultimate evolution of the Hyūga clan's Byakugan."
Neji froze.
So the Byakugan could evolve?
He had always envied Uchiha Sasuke, whose Sharingan could advance all the way to the Eternal Mangekyō.
"Hinata," Kitazawa called next.
"Thank you, Kitazawa-sensei," Hinata said gratefully, already understanding what he intended to do.
"Bear with the pain a little," Kitazawa smiled, gently pinching her cheek.
"Mhm."
Hinata closed her eyes.
Kitazawa extended his hand. The Tenseigan trembled, and purple light was drawn out, pouring into Hinata's eyes.
Just like Neji, she soon reached her limit.
Kitazawa sealed the excess power in her eyes and wrapped them with bandages.
With half its power gone, the Tenseigan dimmed noticeably.
Kitazawa took out a summoning storage scroll and sealed it away.
Hanabi was still too young—awakening the Tenseigan now would be too much of a burden.
"Let me send you back," Kitazawa said, using Flying Thunder God to return Hinata and Neji to the Hyūga compound.
"Hokage-sama!"
Hyūga Hiashi noticed them and hurried out of his study.
But when he saw Hinata and Neji's bandaged eyes, he froze.
"Do you know about the Tenseigan?"
Kitazawa asked him.
Hiashi thought for a moment, then shook his head.
"It's an evolution of the Byakugan," Kitazawa said with a smile.
"What?!"
Hiashi's eyes widened. "The Byakugan can evolve?"
Like Neji before, he had always envied the Uchiha clan's Mangekyō Sharingan.
Who would've thought the Hyūga clan's Byakugan could also advance?
"It's a long story," Kitazawa said, briefly explaining what happened on the moon.
The Hyūga clan, like Toneri, were descendants of Ōtsutsuki Hamura.
That was why only Byakugan combined with Ōtsutsuki chakra could give birth to the Tenseigan.
"I had no idea…"
Hiashi listened in stunned silence.
Kitazawa curled his lips slightly.
In the original story, the Hyūga clan really knew next to nothing—unlike the Uchiha, who had the Sage's stone tablet and plenty of spotlight.
"So Hinata and Neji are…?"
Hiashi snapped back to his senses, excitement surging.
"After one month, they'll awaken the Tenseigan," Kitazawa replied.
Hiashi clenched his fists, thrilled beyond words.
The Hyūga clan had finally caught up to the Uchiha!
More importantly, with the Tenseigan, both Hinata and Neji were qualified to compete for the next Hokage!
"Thank you, Hokage-sama!"
Hiashi said sincerely.
Kitazawa nodded and accepted his thanks.
After all, two pairs of Tenseigan meant a qualitative leap for the Hyūga clan.
"For this month, don't use your Byakugan,"
Kitazawa instructed Hinata and Neji before returning to the Hokage's office.
[Current Mission: Defeat Ōtsutsuki Toneri.]
[Mission Reward: Ōtsutsuki bloodline purity +40%.]
[Mission Completed. Reward Granted.]
Kitazawa stood where he was, sensing the changes within his body.
It felt as though his chakra had increased by about one-fifth.
In other words, even reaching 100% Ōtsutsuki bloodline purity would only increase his chakra by a bit less than three-fifths.
It sounded like a small amount, but in reality it was already quite substantial.
After all, his chakra was now nearly limitless.
What Kitazawa cared about more was another issue.
That was whether reaching 100% bloodline purity would grant him new dōjutsu.
Because in the original story, members of the Ōtsutsuki clan possessed many special ocular techniques.
It was worth noting that they did not have the Tenseigan.
The Tenseigan was most likely a mutation that arose among the descendants of Ōtsutsuki Hamura.
What they possessed were the Byakugan and the Rinnegan.
Ōtsutsuki Isshiki also had what was known as a "black eye."
Kitazawa rubbed his chin.
Ōtsutsuki Isshiki had been Kaguya's partner when they first came to the ninja world to plant the God Tree.
But he had been ambushed by Kaguya and was forced to parasitize the body of a monk named Jigen.
In other words, he was still alive.
To Kitazawa, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki was undoubtedly a hidden danger.
However, he hadn't revealed himself yet.
Handling him after the Fourth Shinobi World War would be soon enough.
The sun set in the west.
In the great metropolis of the Land of Iron,
the Fourth Raikage, Rasa, Mei Terumī, and Ōnoki sat around a round table.
Their gazes instinctively turned toward the empty seat.
"Any news from Konoha?"
Mei Terumī asked after a moment of silence.
"No,"
Ao replied.
"We haven't received any news either,"
Maki added.
"The worst-case scenario has occurred. Kitazawa has no intention of attending the Five Kage Summit,"
Mabui said gravely.
"Does he plan to have a single village face all four of ours?"
Rasa slammed the table and asked angrily.
"With Konoha's current strength, that's actually possible,"
Mei Terumī said with a sigh.
"We can't give up the tailed beasts,"
Ao said, frowning.
"Without the tailed beasts, even if we don't fight the Fourth Shinobi World War now, it'll happen sooner or later,"
Kurotsuchi said in a low voice.
Ōnoki glanced at him subconsciously.
He hadn't expected Kurotsuchi to suddenly say something like that.
But it was undeniably true.
Konoha now possessed all nine tailed beasts—its strength far surpassed theirs.
Even if Kitazawa didn't start a war, what about the next Hokage? Or the one after that?
One day, a Hokage of Konoha would inevitably lose restraint.
"But none of us can defeat Kitazawa,"
Mei Terumī stated the cold reality.
"How can you admit defeat without even fighting?"
Ōnoki snorted. "The combined number of shinobi from our four great villages is four times that of Konoha!"
"The Cloud Village has a way to deal with tailed beasts,"
the Fourth Raikage suddenly said. "The chakra cannon."
Mei Terumī and the others exchanged looks.
In the original story, the chakra cannon appeared in the movie involving Ōtsutsuki Toneri.
Toneri had summoned a massive meteor in an attempt to destroy the ninja world.
The Cloud Village used the chakra cannon to blast it apart.
With enough chakra, it could even shatter the moon—its power rivaled that of a tailed beast bomb.
"Our four great villages can pool our resources and build as many chakra cannons as possible,"
Mabui suggested after explaining the weapon.
