Chapter 310 - Prayer

As time passed, the days went by one after another.

However, to the surprise of countless pantheons, Heaven had fallen completely silent after changing leaders.

Not a single piece of news had emerged from Heaven. No matter how capable the intelligence agencies of the other factions were, they could hardly storm into Heaven and see for themselves, could they?

Many smaller pantheons had already given up, because the God of the Bible was far too distant an existence for them to ever come into contact with.

The only factions that could likely continue observing were those that understood the God of the Bible and had once maintained close ties with Him.

At the very least, the fallen angels and devils were undoubtedly at the forefront!

But no matter how hard they tried, they would never be able to uncover any information about Elise.

Just as Serafall had said before, Elise truly had remained inside Heaven without venturing outside.

There was also one extremely important reason for that...

The system!

Before the outside world could fully react, Elise intended to make her move on Heaven's system!

Following the path through the Sixth Heaven, Elise climbed step by step until she finally reached the throne that only God could ascend.

Naturally, this was not a place just anyone could enter at will. Even the Seraphs lacked that authority. Most likely, only the Archangels had a way inside.

However, the restrictions imposed upon outsiders did not apply to Elise. As for why...

The brilliant radiance surrounding her already explained everything.

The God of the Bible!

Once again, Elise cloaked herself in the aura of the God of the Bible and reached this place with ease.

So how could the system possibly reject its own master?

"This really is remarkable..."

The Seventh Heaven was even simpler than Elise had imagined. Other than white, there was nothing here at all.

"Isn't this a little too monotonous for the throne of God?"

The instant Elise stepped inside, a torrent of rainbow-colored light poured from her body and filled the white space in the blink of an eye.

"Much prettier now!"

Elise smiled as she admired her handiwork. Then she pulled off her eyepatch and casually tossed it onto the floor.

"This is a divine system, after all. It would be a terrible waste not to see it with my own eyes!"

There was no one else here anyway. Est and Ophis had been taken away by the angels to play, while the Archangels had duties of their own.

"Then let's begin!"

Elise extended a hand, and an enormous amount of energy gathered within her palm. It was the power of faith!

The rainbow-colored radiance within the Seventh Heaven grew increasingly dazzling, and under the influence of that energy, the system emerged from its concealed location.

However...

"It may have been a little plain before, but there really are a lot of traps here!"

Forced teleportation, explosions, seals, concealment... The God of the Bible had truly gone to extraordinary lengths to protect the system.

But Elise had entered this place as the God of the Bible, rendering every one of those traps ineffective.

"Let me see what other measures you've prepared..."

The fingers of her right hand slowly curled into a fist, while the power of faith wound around it like countless threads.

Sacred Speech—

"Disperse and converge!"

"Break!"

Sacred Speech, which had gone unused for so long, was finally employed by Elise once more within the Seventh Heaven.

Naturally, Elise did not use Sacred Speech to strengthen herself. She was not trying to destroy Heaven's system, only rewrite it.

Bzzzt!

As the energy continued to gather, an even more violent force erupted from Elise's hand. Although it remained under her control, it still caused her arm to tremble.

Boom!

At the final moment before the energy could no longer be contained, Elise threw her punch.

Her small fist struck the space before her—or rather, the barrier—with perfect precision. As the surrounding space shook violently, something appeared...

It looked like nothing more than a beam of white light, but that was only its outward appearance!

Elise could clearly sense the energy within it. It originated from the same source as the power she wielded...

There could be no mistake. It was all the power of faith!

Elise had always worried that she might encounter someone stronger than herself who also wielded the power of faith, but she had never met such a person.

Until now. At long last, she had found one.

Yet it was under circumstances like these, with the God of the Bible long since dead.

Even someone who possessed such immense power of faith could still meet their end...

If even the incomparably powerful God of the Bible had died, then what about Elise, who was still far from reaching that level?

No matter what, she absolutely could not neglect becoming stronger!

Elise's gaze sharpened, and she drove her fist directly into the system.

A wave of energy erupted outward with Elise and the system at its center, spreading throughout the entirety of Heaven...

The instant Michael, who was working overtime, sensed that energy, he sprang excitedly from his chair.

"She really did it..."

"There can be no mistake. This familiar sensation... Elise really is the Lord!"

At that very moment, the door opened, and the other three Archangels appeared.

"As expected, all of you sensed it as well!"

"No one other than our Lord could possibly release an aura like that..."

"Then what about us? What should we do?"

Did that even need to be asked?

"Pray to our Lord!"

The only thing they could do for their Lord was pray!

It was not only the four Archangels. The instant every angel in Heaven sensed that familiar power, nearly all of them made the same choice.

They dropped to their knees and clasped their hands together...

Without question, it was the posture of devout prayer!

"What about us, Est?"

Every angel around them had knelt, but one must not forget that there were still two beings present who did not belong to Heaven.

Est and Ophis.

Est raised her head with a troubled expression. She seemed to sense Elise's emotions...

Wariness and caution!

What happened?

What exactly is Sister wary of?

Had Elise not specifically instructed Est that she was forbidden from entering the Seventh Heaven, Est would likely have charged inside at once.

Since that was impossible, there was only one thing she could do!

Only through this method could she help her big sister!

"Ophis, could you do me a favor?"

"Tell me."

"Let's pray too! To Big Sister!"

"Mm!"

One dressed in black and the other in white, the two little girls exchanged no unnecessary words. They imitated the angels and offered their own power of faith toward the Seventh Heaven.

And Elise?

"I never expected things to turn out like this..."

Elise gritted her teeth, her expression grim...

She had never imagined that something like this would happen!

A white figure appeared before them. It had no face, possessing only a humanoid shape.

But the power emanating from it had already revealed its identity to Elise. It was...

The God of the Bible!
