It was a world containing gods described as omniscient and omnipotent!

The world of High School DxD, however, was completely different!

Several swift stray devils had already charged close to Elise. They even opened mouths filled with sharp teeth and aimed directly for her neck.

Their razor-sharp teeth snapped together. Many of the stray devils could already imagine Elise drenched in blood after being bitten.

However, the crisp sound caused every smile on their faces to freeze.
The devil that had bitten down was especially stunned, remaining rooted in place.
"What is this? Why is it so hard?"
What appeared before its eyes was not fair, smooth skin, but a barrier shimmering with blue light.
"I already held an extremely low opinion of stray devils, but your behavior has somehow lowered it even further..."
"You don't even possess functioning brains. The moment you see a human, you try to eat them... As expected, I should simply exterminate every last one of you!"

The stray devil closest to Elise began shouting furiously, but in the next instant, searing pain erupted throughout its mouth.

In a single instant, all its teeth had shattered. Was this woman truly that powerful?

"Everyone, hurry and—"
Run!
The devil clearly wanted to shout those words, but Elise had no intention of giving it another chance.
An unimaginable white radiance erupted from Elise's entire body and spread outward at astonishing speed.
To Elise, this was merely an ordinary elemental energy shockwave. In the eyes of the devils, however, it was something entirely different!

The instant that thought arose, the stray devil vanished completely. It was not alone. Most of the devils near Elise were reduced to dust beneath the sacred radiance.
That single attack immediately made every devil present want to flee.
No matter how one looked at it, they were merely low-ranking stray devils. Dealing with ordinary Church warriors was one thing, but fighting a Church member who wielded the power of light was nothing more than a delusion.
Before the devils could recover from their shock, the Saintess' prayer reached every one of their ears, and white light spread outward once more.
Afterward... Elise was the only person left in the vast town.
