Sophia almost laughed.
Not because anything about the situation was funny.
It was simply ridiculous.
Somehow, everything had fallen so perfectly in the Nightshade Pack's favour that she almost wondered whether fate had finally taken pity on them.
Her gaze shifted toward Orion.
He stood a short distance away, watching the confrontation with an expression Sophia knew well.
He was going through a lot no doubt due to the lies spouting out the women's mouths.
Sophia understood that.
But there was one thing that stood out to her.
Selith knew the true prophecy.
Sophia glanced at the old woman.
How did she know?
Normally she would have asked further but she didn't really care enough to ask.
She simply watched.
Victoria and Selith were tearing each other apart with words.
Victoria's voice rose above the storm.
"She killed Samuel!"
She pointed toward Selith.
"She belongs to the Black Circle! They are practitioners of black magic!"
