Hello everyone… It's been a while.
I just wanted to make a quick announcement to reassure you all that this story is not dropped and isn't being discontinued in any way, shape, or form.
The reason the next chapter hasn't been released yet mainly comes down to school and work—those have been taking up most of my time lately.
But the biggest reason is that I've also been working on my Wuthering Waves story for you all. Originally, I planned to release only the prologue, but as I kept writing, I realized it would take a long time before any actual Wuthering Waves content would appear. Because of that, I decided to change my approach.
Instead, I've completed the prologue and am currently working on Chapters 1, 2, and 3 so I can release them all at once. That way, I can properly introduce my character and give you immediate, meaningful Wuthering Waves content from the start.
As for The Chosen One, the next chapter is currently about halfway finished (Most of the tests are within the chapter done, I just need to fine-tune the next ones)
On the Wuthering Waves side, the prologue is done (as mentioned), and Chapter 1 is VERY close to completion, like 98%.
Furthermore… I also want to talk about my update schedule. Originally, I planned to release at least one chapter every month. But with school, studying, and work, I've come to realize that kind of schedule just isn't realistic for me right now. I could probably force it if I lived off energy drinks, but… yeah, I'm not trying to go down that road.
So here's the plan I came up with.
Most of my free time comes during the weekends—that's when I'm usually able to sit down and properly write, with occasional moments during the week if I'm lucky. That said, there are still times when I can't write at all because of school projects, work responsibilities, and everything else life throws at me. Because of that, I'm going to shift to a different update style...
For both my Wuthering Waves and Honkai: Star Rail fanfics (and possibly a future Nikke and Genshin one), I plan to update in batches. Instead of monthly releases, I'll spend around 2–5 months writing and building chapters, then release them all on the same day. That said, the timeframe isn't fixed. It won't always be exactly 2–5 months—it could end up being closer to 2–2, 2–3, and so on, depending on how things go.
That means when an update drops, you'll be getting content for multiple stories at once—HSR, WuWa, and more (maybe).
I think this approach will let me focus on quality while still giving you all something substantial when I do update.
