"I see." Rina nodded.
She actually didn't want to be in charge of any economic department at all.
The workload in the finance department alone already kept her extremely busy.
"Haru," Kitazawa called.
"Hokage-sama."
The ANBU kunoichi stationed at the door, Haru, stepped inside.
"Rina, follow her to meet Kakuzu," Kitazawa instructed. "In the early stages of setting up the Economic Department, you'll assist him. After two months, you won't need to manage it anymore."
Kakuzu was in a completely unfamiliar environment. Just recruiting people for the Economic Department would be enough of a headache.
Having Rina's help would make things much smoother.
"Yes, Hokage-sama."
Rina accepted the task, then followed Haru toward the ANBU headquarters.
Alone again, Kitazawa lightly tapped his fingers on the Hokage's desk.
There was one matter he was truly torn about.
Retrieving Namikaze Minato's soul—and the other half of the Nine-Tails, the Yin Kurama—from the Shinigami's stomach.
What troubled him was how to handle the Yin Kurama.
Under normal circumstances, he should follow the original storyline and let the Yin and Yang Nine-Tails merge back into one.
But to Kitazawa, that felt like a waste—unnecessary, even.
In the original story, the reason the Yin and Yang halves had to be reunited was because Naruto needed that power to face the far stronger Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
Now, thanks to Kitazawa's butterfly effect, Kaguya had no way to break free from her seal.
And even if she did, he would be the one to deal with her. There was no need for Naruto to shoulder that burden.
So Kitazawa had a new idea.
Give the Yin Kurama to Sasuke.
He could have kept it for himself, but with the system, he didn't need it. His chakra would eventually eclipse Kurama's anyway.
He also wasn't fond of sealing things inside his own body—not even the Nine-Tails.
Besides, there was another reason.
Once Naruto obtained Yin Kurama, his strength would far surpass Sasuke's.
Without the threat of Kaguya, the Sage of Six Paths wouldn't appear.
That meant the scene from the original story—where the Sage divided his power and granted chakra to Naruto and Sasuke—would never happen in this world.
If Sasuke never awakened the Rinne-Sharingan while Naruto gained Yin Kurama, the difference in power between them would become overwhelming.
Thinking this far, Kitazawa roughly made up his mind.
He pulled himself out of his thoughts and turned back to the paperwork piled on the Hokage's desk.
By the time he finished, it was already afternoon.
After lunch, Kitazawa headed straight for Orochimaru.
He ordered him to prepare for Living Corpse Reincarnation and then use the Reaper Death Seal to summon the shinigami.
The timing was set for next month.
Once the Akatsuki Organization was defeated, he would call forth the Shinigami.
Kitazawa planned to deal with Nagato personally, so there was no need for Naruto or Sasuke to get involved.
After giving Orochimaru his instructions, Kitazawa made his way to the First Training Ground.
These days, the First Training Ground had become an exclusive area for his three students.
There was no helping it. The scale of the commotion caused during training by Sasuke, Naruto, and Hinata was simply too great.
"Kitazawa-sensei!"
Hinata spotted him and hurried over, coming to a stop in front of him.
Kitazawa reached out and gently patted her head.
"Kitazawa-sensei, is there a mission?"
Naruto asked, eyes full of expectation.
"Not for now," Kitazawa replied with a shake of his head.
"Kitazawa-sensei."
Sasuke walked over as well, greeting him calmly.
"I came today to assign some new training to all of you."
Kitazawa met their gazes, a faint smile on his face.
"What new training?"
Naruto's eyes lit up as he leaned forward.
Sasuke also looked at Kitazawa, curiosity flickering in his eyes.
"Your new training is to become a Perfect Jinchuriki and master the Nine-Tails Mode," Kitazawa said.
At this point, he only had two system missions left.
One: integrate the Akatsuki Organization into Konohagakure.
Two: help Uzumaki Naruto become a Perfect Jinchuriki.
The reward for this particular system mission was extremely generous—20% of Senju Hashirama's bloodline.
Even if it was only 20%, with Hashirama's ridiculous chakra reserves, his own chakra would surge in an instant, reaching a level same as Hashirama.
However, this mission was also quite troublesome.
In the original story, the process of becoming a Perfect Jinchuriki and mastering Nine-Tails Mode could be summed up in one line: Kurama being moved emotionally.
Nine-Tails Chakra Mode was achieved when Naruto defeated Kurama and gained access to all of the Nine-Tails' chakra.
But to truly reach Nine-Tails Mode, he had to completely reconcile with Kurama.
On that point, there wasn't much Kitazawa could do.
Minato, however, could.
In the original story, Minato reconciled with the Yin Nine-Tails sealed in the Shinigami's stomach and could use Nine-Tails Mode after being reincarnated with Edo Tensei.
Now, both Minato's and Kushina's consciousnesses resided within Naruto's seal space. They could guide him.
"Stand still."
Kitazawa's consciousness slipped into the seal space inside Naruto's body.
After discussing things with Minato and Kushina, he withdrew.
"Your parents will help you figure out how to become a Perfect Jinchuriki," Kitazawa said, patting Naruto on the shoulder.
"I understand, Kitazawa-sensei."
Naruto nodded heavily.
"Sasuke, your next stage of training is to unlock the Perfect Susanoo."
Kitazawa turned to look directly at Sasuke as he spoke.
"I... I don't have enough chakra."
Sasuke hesitated before answering. He was simply too young; even with the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, he still couldn't manifest the Perfect Susanoo.
It had been the same in the original timeline—Sasuke only unlocked the Perfect Susanoo after awakening the Rinnegan.
"I'll teach you the Yin Release Chakra Mode. It can increase your chakra," Kitazawa said with a slight smile.
[Current Mission: Help Sasuke unlock the Perfect Susanoo.]
[Mission Reward: Amaterasu.]
[Accept?]
Kitazawa froze for a moment, not expecting the system to issue a new mission. Still, the reward was excellent—Amaterasu was one of Itachi's original Mangekyo Sharingan techniques.
Even if its performance in the original story hadn't been particularly impressive, it was a Mangekyo Sharingan technique nonetheless.
"Yin Release Chakra Mode?" Sasuke's eyes lit up instantly.
He already knew of the Yang Release Chakra Mode. Choji had distinguished himself in the graduation exam precisely because he'd learned it.
If Sasuke could master the Yin Release Chakra Mode, he could start closing the chakra gap between himself and Uzumaki Naruto.
"Follow my shadow clone and learn it," Kitazawa said, forming hand seals and creating a shadow clone.
"Got it, Kitazawa-sensei."
Sasuke followed the clone toward another part of the clearing.
"Hinata, as for you, I'll teach you a technique that can quickly restore the Moon Chasing Bow."
Kitazawa reached out and lightly pinched Hinata's cheek as he spoke.
During the graduation exam, she had used the World-Ending Arrow, causing the Satori sealed in the Moon Chasing Bow to suffer a huge loss of chakra. Under normal circumstances, for Satori to recover its Yin Release power, Hinata would have to slowly feed it chakra.
The efficiency was painfully low.
Fortunately, Shinno had once developed a special technique designed specifically for the Zero-Tails. It allowed the Zero-Tails to absorb the darkness in people's hearts to replenish its Yin Release power.
And since Satori and the Zero-Tails were essentially the same type of being—both Yin Release monsters—that technique could be applied to Satori as well.
While explaining, Kitazawa mulled over Hinata's future training.
To be honest, she had basically reached a bottleneck—if not her outright limit. Yin Release Chakra Mode, bow-style ninjutsu, Byakugan, Gentle Fist... under normal conditions, that was already everything she could reasonably master.
Under abnormal conditions, there was still the Tenseigan.
Kitazawa glanced up at the sky. He needed to find time to visit the moon.
They were the Three Sannin of New Konoha, after all. Hinata's strength couldn't fall too far behind that of Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto.
Even if he didn't consider her, Kitazawa himself needed to retrieve the Tenseigan. Leaving it on the moon was far too wasteful.
On top of that, the moon's last survivor, Ōtsutsuki Toneri, would eventually kidnap Hinata and attempt to destroy the ninja world.
Kitazawa rubbed his chin. He would go after he finished integrating the Akatsuki into Konohagakure.
The Great Tenseigan on the moon was still a significant threat.
After finishing Hinata's lesson, Kitazawa planned to find Ino and teach her the Yin Release Chakra Mode as well.
Activating his Byakugan, he quickly located their team's position.
He headed toward the Sarutobi clan compound.
Before long, he arrived at a training ground.
Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino were there, training.
More accurately, the three of them were currently sparring against Asuma.
After watching for a while, Kitazawa understood.
Asuma was drilling them on teamwork.
Thinking it over, it made sense. Other than coordination, there really wasn't much else he could teach this particular trio.
His specialties were Fire Release and Wind Release.
But Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino—none of them were suited to inherit his Fire or Wind Release techniques.
"Pause the training for a moment."
Noticing Kitazawa's arrival, Asuma quickly called out.
In truth, he was already struggling against the three of them attacking together. If the spar continued, he'd end up losing in a rather embarrassing fashion.
"Kitazawa-sensei!"
Ino shot over to his side like a gust of wind.
"Asuma."
Kitazawa looked at Asuma and said, "I want to teach Ino and Shikamaru a new ninjutsu. It'll take some time."
The Nara Clan's Shadow Techniques and the Yamanaka Clan's Mind Techniques were both Yin Release, so the two of them were qualified to learn the Yin Release Chakra Mode.
Whether they could actually master it, however, would depend on their own talent.
"No problem, go ahead and teach them."
Asuma's mouth twitched as he answered.
He'd just realized that, as their jōnin sensei, he was basically useless here.
