Victoria remained for a moment with her back against the door, hands behind her, savoring the heavy silence that had just settled in the bedroom. The smile floating on her lips was no longer that of the calculating businesswoman. It was something more powerful, more free. Something that had waited too long.
She slowly advanced toward Nash.
She did not rush; she had all the time in the world. Each step was measured. She savored the space between them, the way the dim light caressed her skin through the thin nightdress. Nash, despite his imposing size, suddenly seemed smaller than the space he occupied. Victoria, on the other hand, was growing in her own desire.
She stopped a few centimeters from him. Her sapphire eyes slowly traveled over him, from top to bottom, as if she were seeing him for the first time without any filter.
