Chapter 171 - Chapter 162: Sealing the Supreme Divinity — The Legendary Doctor, Leon Lake!

> [During this period, SCP-3143 takes on the persona of its narrative protagonist—a 1930s-style private detective.]

[All flattened entities become characters within the narrative, adopting the attitudes and tropes typical of the genre.]

[The narrative continues until SCP-3143 achieves a "closure" consistent with its detective-story format.]

[When the narrative concludes, reality reverts to normal. Events that occurred inside the narrative are projected back into reality; however, participants usually retain no memory of the events.]

As soon as they read this, everyone in the livestream suddenly understood.

They had noticed earlier that the lower-narrative world looked like an old black-and-white detective film—but they hadn't known why.

Now it all made sense.

It was based on Leo Murphy's genre template.

But then their excitement froze.

Because—

Events inside the narrative are projected into reality.

The chat exploded.

> "WAIT—so everything in that detective movie actually happened??"

"The filter wasn't a filter—it was NARRATIVE REALITY??"

"This is insane."

---

[SCP-3143 was discovered in 2005 following a containment breach at Site-95. In 2018, the Foundation's Pataphysics Department and Analytics Division made direct contact with SCP-3143 and apprehended it.]

[SCP-3143-A is Murphy Luden, the author of SCP-3143.]

---

Even Leon Lake blinked in surprise.

SCP-3143 had already been apprehended?

The livestream audience was even more confused.

> "Huh?? If he's already captured, why bring Leon there?"

"Is this mission pointless??"

---

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters

Natasha frowned.

"Could O5-10 have been mistaken?"

Fury narrowed his eye, scanning the document again.

His gaze locked onto one word:

Apprehended.

He repeated it softly:

> "Apprehended… not contained."

Natasha's eyes widened.

"You mean the Foundation found him—but can't actually contain him?"

Fury nodded.

> "Exactly. A pataphysical entity can't be contained by normal means.

With something like SCP-3143…

only deconstruction can work."

---

Back on Screen

August noticed Leon's confusion and explained:

"Strictly speaking, we cannot contain it. SCP-3143 can simply 'flatten' reality into a narrative. Any physical containment becomes meaningless."

Leon nodded thoughtfully.

"Currently, Dr. Tamar is developing special containment procedures for SCP-3143. Your mission is to assist him."

Just as August finished speaking, an older man in a lab coat strode in.

His face was unremarkable, but his permanent frown was unforgettable.

He didn't even look at Leon.

"Damn it, August, do you not understand that my research is at a critical point!?"

August winced at Tamar's impatience.

Worried Leon would take offense, he turned—but Leon remained perfectly calm.

August stood and forced a smile.

"Dr. Lake, this is Dr. Tamar, the chief researcher for SCP-3143. Tamar, this is—"

"F***!"

Tamar snapped before August could finish.

"Only an idiot on the O5 Council would make such a stupid decision!"

He glared at Leon.

"A special containment expert? You?

Kid, do you even understand pataphysics? Do you understand the nature of our enemy?

Do you think you can defeat a fictional character from a book?"

August groaned and held his forehead.

"Tamar… calm down. Dr. Lake—"

Leon interrupted, voice steady:

"This is indeed my first time dealing with pataphysics. But my understanding of anomalies is far beyond what you can imagine."

Tamar's brows tightened.

Leon continued:

"Every anomalous ability has limits.

Even those belonging to a Supreme Divinity."

He lifted the document.

"Leo Murphy's ability is to flatten reality into a detective narrative.

But that does not make him invincible."

August blinked in shock.

He just read the file—how did he already figure this out?

Tamar looked equally stunned.

Leon spoke as calmly as if reading weather data:

"Murphy always assumes the role of a hard-boiled detective.

The entire narrative follows detective-novel logic until a genre-appropriate ending is reached.

Only then can he compress reality into a story."

He paused.

"In other words—

if we artificially disrupt the genre logic…

he cannot reach an ending.

And if he can't reach an ending—

he can't flatten reality."

The office fell silent.

August stared at Leon as if meeting him for the first time.

Dr. Tamar—who dismissed Leon just minutes ago—was completely speechless.

The livestream chat erupted—

> "BRO WHAT?? Did Leon read the same document we did??"

"Is he reading the DLC version??"

"I'm watching a movie while he's solving the meta-plot."

"As expected of the man more legendary than the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse!"

"DR. LEON LAKE THE GOAT."

---

S.H.I.E.L.D.

The agents were in awe.

Natasha muttered:

> "How does his brain even work?

Compared to him, mine feels… useless."

Even Fury looked rattled.

He prided himself on having near-omniscient intel—but he didn't see this coming.

---

Stark Industries

Tony stared at the screen.

"So that's it…

The story logic defines the containment."

Rhodes snapped his fingers.

"If that's the case, then maybe…

we really can contain Leo Murphy."

---

Back on Screen

Dr. Tamar stared at Leon in disbelief.

Then slowly turned toward August, expression saying:

"Did you tell this kid everything already?"
