Chapter 202 - So Embarrassing, Fox — You Should Quit the Group

"I'll ask one more time."

Naruto waited quietly as everyone remained lost in their thoughts before he continued:

"Who wants to go on an adventure with me into another world?"

"It could be a parallel world we already know, or a completely different one, or maybe even something more colorful and vibrant."

For example—Dragon Ball.

The group, already having made up their minds, answered in unison:

"Such an interesting thing—we've got to experience it at least once!"

"How exciting. I thought life would be boring after world peace was achieved," Deidara said with a grin, casually slinging his arm over Naruto's shoulder.

"But with you around, Naruto, it's never boring."

"So, how do we actually go?"

"It's simple." Naruto replied calmly, then slapped his palm onto the ground.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

"Box of Ultimate Bliss — Arbitrary Gate Form!"

After swallowing the Ryūmyaku, the Box of Ultimate Bliss had gained the ability to traverse worlds. But it still required Naruto's assistance; on its own, it couldn't perform dimensional travel.

When the plain, ordinary-looking door appeared, doubt flickered across everyone's faces. Could such a simple door really let them cross into another world?

"Of course not. Traveling between worlds requires massive energy." Naruto, sensing their doubts, explained.

"So—"

"Summoning Jutsu!"

The Ten-Tails—Isshiki's old beast—appeared beneath Naruto's feet.

"What an ugly thing," Hidan muttered, craning his neck at the mountainous creature towering over a hundred meters tall, its top vanishing into the clouds.

"Where'd you even dig up this big guy, Naruto?"

Curious, he slapped its body—only to smear his hand with some sticky, snot-like fluid. Disgusted, he immediately wiped his hand with a grimace.

"From that Ōtsutsuki, a year ago. Remember? I was bedridden for a month."

The Akatsuki all nodded in sudden realization.

Nagato frowned slightly as he gazed at the slug-like Ten-Tails. Its appearance is completely different… yet why does it feel so similar to the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path?

"Box of Ultimate Bliss!" Naruto stepped up to the box, patting its surface before pointing at the curious Ten-Tails.

"Swallow it."

Even a juvenile Ten-Tails was still a Ten-Tails. Absorbing such a massive lump of energy would sustain the box for a long while. Otherwise, why else would Naruto have kept this thing around?

It couldn't even beat Kurama. It didn't even qualify as a pet.

Inside, Kurama rubbed the lump on his head from being punched earlier by Kakarot, frowning suspiciously.

Brat, I get the feeling you're thinking something rude about me.

Naruto chuckled awkwardly. No way, Kurama, you're overthinking.

Really? Kurama pressed, still rubbing his head. Naruto, are you sure you want to hand that thing over to the box?

Of course, "that thing" was the Ten-Tails.

What, you'd rather it be you?

Kurama instantly switched to a dramatic, sentimental tone.

Alas, my poor little brother Robert… I'll miss him dearly.

"Oh my god, you even gave it some foreign-sounding name? That sounds like Old Tom's socks after ten years of wear. Absolutely terrible."

Let's talk this out properly, Naruto.

'Kay!

With a series of click-clack-ka-ka transforming sounds, the Box of Ultimate Bliss reshaped itself into a massive sphere, swallowing the still-dazed Ten-Tails whole.

But the more Naruto looked at it, the more it resembled a certain red-and-white ball.

It even wobbled twice like one—and with a final thunk, went still.

"The energy should be enough now." Naruto patted the box—no, now it looked more like a ball.

"Guess we should call it the Bliss Sphere… or maybe the Happy-Ball™?"

The ball nodded with surprising human-like intent before shifting back into the form of a door.

"Let's start with a world we're familiar with, just for a demonstration."

Naruto spoke as he pushed the door open.

Creak…

The door swung wide, revealing a whirlpool-like vista swirling beyond the threshold.

"The gateway to a parallel world has opened!

The chosen children, set out!"

Naruto suddenly remembered that line and shouted it out, stepping boldly through the dimensional gate first.

After all, what child hadn't dreamed of being a Chosen One, venturing into the Digital World?

Too bad this wasn't a door to the Digital World.

Sasuke and Neji followed right behind him. The rest of the Akatsuki exchanged glances, then filed in one after another.

As the last person crossed, the door compressed inward, shrinking rapidly along its axis until it vanished completely.

Those who entered felt the scenery shift in an instant—darkness to darkness again.

Only this time, the moon above their heads was no longer a pale silver disk, but a crimson blood moon.

Naruto gazed up at it, struck by a feeling both familiar and strange.

Then, with a long, echoing howl that tore through the night sky, a colossal beast with nine tails suddenly appeared in his vision.

That silhouette was one Naruto knew all too well—after all, he slept curled up against its furry body nearly every day.

The Nine-Tails.

The Land of Fire. Konohagakure.

So… they had crossed into the night of the Nine-Tails' attack.

His very first world-hopping had landed him right at the Nine-Tails' Night.

In a way, it was coming full circle.

"Whoa, so that's the Nine-Tails that lives inside Naruto?" Deidara's sharp eyes immediately recognized the beast. He shaded his eyes with his hand like a scout, marveling aloud:

"It's really huge!"

"Yeah, but don't mistake it—this Nine-Tails isn't the same one inside me." Naruto patted his stomach.

"Our Kurama's nowhere near that scrawny."

And indeed, the difference was obvious. In fur sheen and body mass, the two were worlds apart.

If Naruto's Kurama could be called a buff, musclebound fox, this one was more like a malnourished fox.

Let me see—another me out there, huh?

From inside the seal, Kurama looked through Naruto's eyes at the rampaging Nine-Tails in Konoha.

As expected of me. Just a single appearance and the entire village is scared witless.

But before he could praise himself further, he saw the other him get driven out of Konoha by a single strike from the Third Hokage's staff.

"…That feels weak." Kurama immediately changed his tune, criticizing furiously.

Why does he look so pathetic? That can't possibly be me. This world's Nine-Tails is way too lame.

Getting knocked out of the village by some mere human? How humiliating. Other me, you should quit the group.
