The change in identity type means that this time when Bai Pu enters the Original Sin World, it is no longer the identity of a Source Lord's Descent, but that of an Awakened.
Descender and Awakened, each have their own advantages and disadvantages.
A Descender is equivalent to a Native, possessing the ability to "scavenge". However, items scavenged cannot be taken away, and can only be handed over to Native allies in the camp.
An Awakened does not have scavenging abilities, but killing enemies can yield spoil treasure chests, and the spoils obtained from these treasure chests can be taken away.
