But ultimately, paper cannot cover fire, and Amanda's actions were eventually exposed, leading to her execution by the head of the facility.
Her successor, Susan, was Amanda's junior and admired Amanda greatly.
Amanda sensed her impending execution and entrusted Susan beforehand. This left Susan both blaming Amber and others for Amanda's death and, due to Amanda's influence, continuing to Shelter Amber and the rest.
