This round of probing didn't manage to take down the middle-aged man, but it did reveal the middle-aged man's attitude. He was indeed ready to fight desperately, thinking that killing one would be worthwhile, and killing two would be a bonus.

The few looked in the direction the half-orc pointed and discovered a stranger sitting quietly on a boulder like a small mountain, watching their fight.
