"Do not move!" Grayson commanded dramatically, his deep voice rising in sheer panic. "Morrison!"
"Grayson, do not call Soren!" Mailah cried out, her face burning with embarrassment as she clutched her throbbing leg. "It is eight o'clock at night! He is at his own home resting!"
"I do not care if he is sleeping across town!" Grayson declared frantically. He scrambled across the floor on his hands and knees, his hands hovering over her foot like he was handling a piece of thin glass. "Your physical integrity has been damaged! Your human bones are far too soft! I knew it! I knew we should have reinforced your skeleton with ancient magic!"
Before Mailah could stop him, Grayson whipped out his phone, pressed speed dial, and jammed it onto speakerphone.

"Grayson?" Dr. Soren Morrison's tired, bewildered voice echoed loudly into the quiet bedroom. "Is there a medical emergency?"
