"My mother was one of those unfortunate pureblood shewolves who were exploited by the werewolf world," Jason began. "Her own family didn't care when she was taken away and simply enjoyed the money they received. All kinds of things were done to her until one day she was rescued."
This reminded me of myself. Just that I wasn't rescued, but sold again, only to be saved by my buyers.
"Back then, a few good pack leaders like Kael's father or Alpha Gerald were working on rescuing shewolves and stopping their abuse. My mother was saved by the warriors under Kael's father's command. Most were sent to their homes if their families wanted their abducted daughters back. Those who had no families lived in shelters created by the packs. My mother was among those whose family decided to keep her.
