Chapter 771 - KWM Chapter 765: The Last Chance

Above the gray fog, Klein's true body remaining on guard here reached out his hand to summon a paper figurine from the miscellaneous pile in the corner, throwing it down beneath the gray fog.

In the blink of an eye, the paper figurine crossed a long distance, landing upon the "Evernight Goddess" to graft a layer of Sefirah Castle's protection for Her.

The aura belonging to Sefirah Castle could resist the suppression and erosion of the "River of Eternal Darkness" upon its three subordinate pathways. Aside from this, he also utilized the ability of a "Miracle Invoker" to try increasing the probability of the "Evernight Goddess's" success.

"This is all I can do; the rest is up to whether matters will develop in the predicted direction."

Klein sat upon the high-backed chair belonging to "The Fool," looking down upon the struggle in the Forsaken Land of the Gods via his true vision above the gray fog.

The gloomy mist condensed from concealed power and the faint-white mist teeming with connotations of death, the endpoint, and the final end blended into a single mass, yet remained distinct, falling into a protracted tug-of-war match.

However, along with Gehrman Sparrow's continuous activity and exertion of influence, the scales of victory began to tilt toward the Evernight Goddess.

Watching matters progress smoother and smoother, an unease flashed across the heart of Klein above the gray fog for no rhyme or reason, faintly feeling as though some unpredicted matter had been overlooked by him.

Upon that high-backed chair belonging to The Fool, Klein's brow furrowed deeper and deeper. Even with the intuition of a Seer, he fundamentally could not see where the problem exactly lay.

...The True Creator wrote a script again?

Just as the thought in his mind flashed across, Klein shifted his attention back onto his marionette, manipulating Gehrman Sparrow to seal those activated death imprints.

In the next instant, numerous errors appeared in the matters within his eyes, with even the underlying rules experiencing errors unavoidably.

"Amon!"

Gehrman Sparrow muttered with a frown. In his ears, the sound of surging water suddenly rang out, echoing layer upon layer and leaking a difficult-to-conceal dead silence.

This caused Gehrman Sparrow, who had transformed into a conceptual creature, to pause for a brief moment, looking as though he fell into a certain state difficult to think in.

An illusory, pitch-black, lightless river materialized. Wherever the river water flowed, all things were dying; even an illusory concept was difficult to escape from.

By borrowing the influence of the "Error," the River of Eternal Darkness eroded the seal created by Gehrman Sparrow, reclaiming those sealed-up death imprints.

Under the erosion of concepts such as death, the endpoint, the final end, and eternal darkness, the seal of the Forsaken Land of the Gods experienced damage. The quietly flowing lightless long river entered the Spirit World along the connection of that tributary of Calderón city.

Simultaneously, a piece of information was transmitted above the gray fog, turning into individual Ancient Feysac words before Klein's eyes:

"I can help you clear out the reviving will of the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth for Blessings upon your body. With my help, you can become the 'Lord of the Mysteries' before the barrier left behind by the Original Creator shatters, obtaining the power to salvage this world, and without losing yourself."

"My requirement is very simple, identical to the 'Demon of Knowledge'—do not intervene in the struggle between me and that 'Evernight Goddess.' "

"Once the Goddess becomes 'Eternal darkness,' She can likewise help me."

Klein murmured, and without even thinking, he refused the transaction proposed by the "River of Eternal Darkness."

He rose from his seat, and simultaneously, a deep-red light rose from within the gray fog, revealing Gehrman Sparrow's figure.

He withdrew that portion of the "Key of Stars" characteristic and the Uniqueness of the "Door" pathway, relying on his own status which had already reached a true god, and his control over Sefirah Castle.

He performed a fooling and a deception upon the "River of Eternal Darkness" that had entered the Spirit World.

He grafted that tributary of the "River of Eternal Darkness" beneath Calderón city together with the "River of Eternal Darkness" itself conceptually, after which he fooled the rules, modifying the location where the "River of Eternal Darkness" entered the Spirit World to let it directly appear at Calderón city deep within the Spirit World.

Before the "River of Eternal Darkness" could react, he relied on the authority of "Door" to seal Calderón city, throwing it out of the Spirit World and flinging it toward the Amantha Mountain Range where the Church of Evernight headquarters, the Serenity Cathedral, was situated.

The moment Calderón city detached from the Spirit World, the traces of its existence were erased from reality by an invisible eraser, falling into a concealed world surrounded by heavy, gloomy mist.

"This set of operations finally has a bit of the look of the great Dominator of the Spirit World."

Klein nodded to himself with satisfaction, putting the characteristic and Uniqueness of the "Door" pathway back onto his marionette and placing him back into reality to continue acting in the capacity of Gehrman Sparrow.

In the next second, Dwayne Dantes in the appearance of a middle-aged gentleman suddenly appeared inside the palace above the gray fog, looking at him with the corner of his mouth slightly hooked, and wearing a crystal-ground monocle at the position of his right eye.

"You don't seem surprised?"

Amon inquired while taking a step forward. Along with His movement, individual transparent and slick tentacles extended out from His body.

"Within predictions. This is your last chance; the longer the timetable drags out, the smaller your only remaining advantage will become."

With a expressionless smile, Klein soundlessly replaced his true body, while simultaneously creating a layer of a realm of mysteries in the surroundings.

Dwayne Dantes, who was parasitized by Amon, appeared on an exceptionally eerie and gloomy corridor. This corridor seemed to have no end, with one tightly closed dark red wooden door after another on both sides, looking as though they connected to different rooms.

There wasn't a single sound inside all of the rooms, with no telling what was hidden inside each respectively.

Along with the unfolding of the realm of mysteries, Klein began attempting to drag out Leyton's Historical Projection from the historical voids.

Under the condition where historical projections could not involve a Uniqueness, when facing Amon, only Leyton—who could make replacements between historical projections and the true body—could truly take effect, rather than having the duration stolen directly by Amon.

Once, twice.... Klein reached out his hand to grasp in front of himself several times, consistently unable to succeed.

"Dropped the chain at the critical moment again...."

Klein lampooned, altering his target to attempt summoning Roselle's Historical Projection from before he became a god.

Under the support of Sefirah Castle, it succeeded in one go, yet no consciousness projected over.

"Sure enough, they are all tied down."

Lamenting in a low voice, Klein applied a layer of concealment onto Roselle's Historical Projection, hiding him off to one side as a back-up plan, after which he sat back onto the high-backed chair behind him, waiting for Amon to appear in front of him.

.....

At the absolute easternmost side of the Forsaken Land of the Gods, upon the barrier solidified from the endless gray fog, individual terrifying and tyrannical streaks of lightning teeming with a breath of destruction cleaved down, sinking into the depths of the gray fog, the piercing electrical light lighting up the entire mass of gray fog into a sheet of silver-white.

Amidst the rampant rampaging of the electrical light, individual distorted and terrifying shadows were reflected out, shuttling within the gray fog in an attempt to find a breakthrough point.

At the places where the silver-white electrical light cleaved down, one after another twisty and unspeakable face very quickly materialized, bumping hard against the gray fog from the inside like vengeful spirits struggling within the River of Lethe.

Gradually, the solidified gray-white mist in the surroundings was covered by a layer of an evil, viscous black liquid, looking as though it were converged from countless curses, emotions, and desires. Merely seeing it would cause one to be mentally tranced and experience pathological changes in the body.

This evil black liquid continuously expanded toward the surroundings, eroding the void upward and rotting reality downward, interfering with the overlapping between reality and the Spirit World to cause the surrounding desires to soar high and emotions to lose control, becoming degenerate and teeming with curses, becoming even more Abyss than the Abyss.

Upon the sky that was so clear it looked as though it were painted on, a crimson moon as fresh red as blood materialized. The brilliance of the blood moon spilled onto the earth through the barrier left behind by the Original Creator, causing spirituality on the ground to grow, life to be vibrant, spiritual intuition to enhance, and death to become stronger.

Less than two seconds after the blood moon emerged, it was erased from the sky without leaving a single speck of trace.

In the midair that lost its moonlight, a prototype of a divine kingdom converged from various desires and curses emerged via the Spirit World.

Within the prototype of a divine kingdom condensed from various curses and desires, a person wrapped up like a mummy, with rose flowers entwined upon their body, was hung upside down upon a tree of a distorted and bizarre posture.

Along with the shaking of the tree branches, the upside-down mummy let out streams of shrill and evil roars.

Under this terrifying sound wave, even the air seemed to experience a certain stiffness. All people who heard this sound more or less suffered some erosion and curses. Their spirituality was influenced, becoming quite "solidified," and the degree of fit between body and soul dropped bit by bit, the body gradually becoming a cage for the spirit, more and more stiff and more and more heavy.

The shrieking let out by the "Chained God" echoed upon the desolate and dead silent ground, causing those Beyonders and monsters who were influenced by the aura of the "Tenebrous World" and uncontrollably wished to draw close to all come to a stop, difficult to move.

Beneath the prototype of a divine kingdom created by the "Chained God," a giant cloth doll with membrane wings and curved ram horns tore through space, flying out from the depths of the Spirit World and drawing close toward that shadow world ahead where various curses germinated and desires and emotions churned.

Paragraph after paragraph of Devil language words teeming with an intent of filth and degeneracy originating from the Abyss were chanted out, like the low whispers of an evil god by the ear, difficult to resist and difficult to shake off.

Suah's movements, while advancing rapidly in midair, instantly turned stiff. His body surface was covered with a layer of a slightly viscous black liquid, looking as though he fell into a quagmire difficult to extricate from.

Around Him, countless black mists rushed out closely behind, carrying connotations of degeneracy, filth, and corrosion, swallowing Suah's figure in an instant.

Along with the churning of the black mist, the surrounding region unavoidably displayed an Abyss-fication tendency.

The ground split open, spewing out glowing red magma, and yellow-green poisonous gas drifted in the air along with a pungent smell of sulfur. Those illusory, viscous mists that looked like the collection of the most sinister and hidden desires in human hearts gradually grew dense, about to turn into liquid.

A blurry and distorted figure took shape within the black mist, extending a hand forward to grasp toward that region where the "Tenebrous World" projected its power.

Seemingly having sensed that the high-level powers of the two pathways, "Devil" and "Mutant," were drawing close, the power projected out of the gray fog by the "Tenebrous World" grew distinctly faster by a fraction.

Those illusory and viscous black liquids came alive, rapidly surging upward and interweaving into bizarre tentacles of a distorted posture, extending toward the direction of the black mist coming from the Abyss.
