Noella winced in pain as she came to after fainting. Rubbing the side of her head, she felt a sizable bump swelling and worried her classmates might turn it into comedy gold.
"Wow, that was one wild dream! A rabbit chatting away? No more apple juice before bed, like ever," she mused, spotting a brooch next to her. Inside was a dazzling heart-shaped diamond. "Whoa, this thing's gotta be worth a fortune. If I return it, ka-ching! Cash galore!"
Noella's mind danced with mischievous thoughts as her eyes morphed into cartoon dollar signs. Visions of all the goodies she could buy filled her with glee until a warm glow in her chest mirrored the brooch's shine.
"Huh? What's happening?" Noella blinked, face-palming in bewilderment.
The bunny hopped over with a cheeky grin. "About time you woke up, Noel."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! First, we're not on nickname bases, and second, rabbits don't talk. I gotta be dreaming," she declared, pinching her cheek until she yelped, "Ouchie!"
The bunny bounced onto the brooch, and ribbons unfurled around Noella, transforming her. She ogled her hands, feet, and the adorable pink uniform. Unaware she was now a magical girl, she marveled at the cute sailor outfit in the mirror, striking poses. Her eyes were now a kaleidoscope, which she found amusing.
"Noella, what are you doing? I sense someone coming," the bunny warned. "They must've sensed your aura."
"Uh, what's an aura?" Noella was clueless until a bolt from the sky struck her apartment, sending her tumbling through floors. Oddly, it felt like a gentle nudge. She saw a monster eyeing her parents and zoomed past it at lightning speed.
"How am I supposed to fight? I can't even control myself. This is nuts," she griped.
"Noella, shout to the heavens," the bunny instructed.
She closed her eyes, imagining a paradise without monsters. Opening them, she chirped, "Sparkle Sparkle Glitter Glitter, a world full of rainbows and sunshine!" Striking a pose like Rumi from her fave K-pop Demon Hunters movie, light erupted from her hand, vanquishing the monster. "What was that?" she wondered, staring at her hand.
"No. 749265 Magical Girl, Noella," the bunny noted.
Noella swayed sleepily, "I'm super tired now." With that, she collapsed, reverting to her normal attire.
" I found her."
