In Mariejois, five figures were listening closely to a Den Den Mushi, hearing live reports from a CP0 member.
"Shiki and the honorary admiral have entered a weird space. The view is completely blocked!"
"Hmm. That sounds like an ideal opportunity."
"Indeed."
"There are currently a lot of scums gathered on that island. We should thank that bastard for it."
"Get rid of them all at once."
The Five Elders were, as always, discussing the matter with serious faces.
"Luckily, York has provided us with a small part of the Mother Flame, enough for a one-time use."
"Prepare Uranus."
It was an order far more dire than the infamous Buster Call, but if Shun were here, he would laugh his ass off. Seeing a bunch of serious elders saying, "Prepare Uranus."
Back to Shun's POV.
Hearing the blood drip, Shun thought about the day as a whole.
"It was a horrible day."
Though he had received an overpowered Devil Fruit ability, there wasn't even an ounce of joy on Shun's face. While Shiki was at 1% HP, Shun had already stolen his ability and Haki prowess. If he hadn't done it, the islands and ships would have started raining down on the Sabaody Archipelago, after all.
Shun dispelled his territory magic and walked towards the area where the remnants of the Shiki pirates were still fighting, or perhaps more accurately, desperately running around.
"O-Oi, the lunatic is coming here!"
One of the thugs in a suit reminded the others.
'Is that my nickname or something among the pirates?' Shun thought, but he didn't care much.
"What happened to Lord Shiki?"
With that question, everyone turned their heads towards where the paw bubble space had been until a minute ago.
"…"
They only found the lower body of their captain, which was still standing. It had been nearly half an hour since the Conqueror's Haki incident. Now, most of the people were already back on their feet.
"R-Run!"
"The honorary admiral has done it!"
The two groups' reactions were complete opposites. The winner takes it all, and the losers have to run.
Clap! Clap!
The crowd, who had initially come for the flying fraud Shiki's book event, ended up witnessing history and were cheering and clapping eagerly.
"But isn't it weird?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" a man and a woman talked to each other.
"Isn't Shiki supposed to be a fraud? But he was very strong earlier…"
"You're right…"
"That could only mean…"
Shun was interested and paying attention to their conversation.
"That means… someone lied to the honorary admiral."
"It's Rayleigh!"
"That bastard!"
"…"
Hearing it, Shun's horrible mood improved a bit.
'Did I awaken some weird fetish for ruining people's reputations?' Shun thought before shaking his head.
Shun left the cheering crowd and reunited with two old men wearing fox masks and one blind old man.
"Good work." Sengoku, for some reason, had a proud smile before he remembered something. He pointed towards the Seraphim.
"You got any excuses?"
Shun just shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe later, I'm not in the mood right now."
"Huh? Didn't you win?" Garp asked curiously. He was quite pleased with today. In one way or another, he got to see three of his grandsons doing well.
Sengoku, being more intelligent, asked, "You didn't manage to get his Devil Fruit ability?"
"No, that went fine. If I hadn't, the islands up there would have fallen and crushed everyone, after all."
"That sounds about right. Then what's wrong?"
"I wasn't planning to use Haki and most of my abilities. He was stronger than I thought, so it's my loss today. I'll lay low for a bit from now on."
"…"
The three old men hearing this didn't know whether to comfort him or punch him in the face.
"All right, that's enough. Let's return." Suddenly, Shun called out to the seven.
Soon, the seven arrived before him, standing there without a care for the three curious old men.
"Oh, right. I almost forgot," Shun said suddenly, confusing them.
POP!
POP!
Within ten seconds, Shun returned with Shiki's corpse, now fixed to perfect condition. It was too perfect, so if he said that he was just sleeping, it would be believable.
"Bat, use this to make a zombie."
'I don't remember the details of his abilities, but a strong person's body should make a good zombie, right?'
"R-Really?!" Bat, aka Gecko Moria's Seraphim, was ecstatic.
"Dad, can I keep it?" Snake, aka Boa Hancock's Seraphim, called out suddenly, surprising the three old men.
"Huh? A bird?" When Shun turned to her, he saw a weird yellow bird that looked like a duck, but it was flying and releasing a bit of lightning.
'A mutated bird, huh?'
"Sure," Shun said and patted her head. Hearing the approval, the bird looked like it was letting out a sigh of relief.
'Those mutated animals are very smart, huh? Well, most animals in this world are smart, I guess.'
Meanwhile…
"This brat wasn't joking?"
"Mm." Sengoku nodded, but he suddenly remembered their fighting style and abilities were too obvious.
'Those brats are the stolen Seraphim, right? What are you going to do with them?' Sengoku wanted to ask, but there were too many witnesses, and there had to be Cipher Pol members around to spy, too.
Noticing his gaze, Shun sighed and decided to come clean.
"I lied earlier. I adopted them for mutual cooperation. Nothing more than that."
"…"
Sengoku didn't say anything, he just closed his eyes. But those actions spoke more than words.
"All right, I'm not in the mood to do anything else today. We will go back," Shun said and was about to teleport, but…
"!!!"
Only people with strong Haki noticed first.
The sky darkened. Dark storm clouds instantly covered the sky above the entire Sabaody Archipelago, accompanied by an eerie green glow.
A massive object hidden in the clouds fired a concentrated rain of red lasers down onto the archipelago. These beams struck randomly, causing massive explosions.
At least that's what would have happened if those laser beams hadn't suddenly stopped in place.
"…"
Time had stopped in the entire Sabaody Archipelago.
"Is this an ancient weapon? Again… they don't care if they kill Garp and Sengoku, too, if they can kill me, huh?" Shun was speechless at this coincidence.
"I'm noticing a pattern here. If I feel down, I get attacked by an ancient weapon. Just like the time with Nirvana."
In the stopped time, Shun talked to himself and laughed before finally deciding to deal with the attack and go back to his world.
Shun returned to his Fairy Heart form again.
"This magic takes an enormous amount of magic. After resting, I'll kill those who created the energy for this ancient weapon and the ones who used it," Shun cursed them, then started casting the magic.
"Fairy Sphere. Activate." As soon as he finished casting, he turned time back to normal.
BOOOOOM!
"!!"
Everyone's eyes were drawn to the sky where the entire archipelago was getting nuked constantly by red laser beams. But before those laser beams could strike, a golden sphere shield with the Fairy Tail guild mark enveloped the archipelago, protecting them.
"T-This is an ancient weapon?!" Sengoku seemed to have some idea.
"Ancient weapon? Are those bastards planning to kill everyone here?" Garp clenched his fists, then turned back to Shun, who was now lying down on the ground.
They didn't even question how Shun managed to create a shield or what Devil Fruit it was.
"Dad! Are you okay?!" Snake was making a scene and successfully got everyone's attention.
"…I'm tired."
'Mentally,' Shun thought to himself.
"…"
No one could refute that he would be tired after all this.
The small group was having a conversation while the red laser beams were still shooting, but the shield showed no signs of breaking.
"Shun-san, are you okay?!" Hibari arrived with a bunch of marine soldiers.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Shun said, but he didn't get up.
Hearing it, Hibari took a seat next to Shun on the ground, much to Snake's annoyance. Then she spoke.
"We just did a checkup. There are no casualties, only light injuries."
"I see…"
'People in this world are really sturdy… I guess the Seven Dwarves did a good job.'
"But… how long is this damn weapon going to attack?" Shun spoke, looking at the still-shooting laser beams.
"…"
No one knew what to say.
After five minutes, it finally stopped.
"…"
'Five whole minutes… as expected of an ancient weapon, I guess.'
Everyone finally sighed in relief, seeing the attack cease. Before anyone could speak, Shun told Sengoku, "Vegapunk created an almost infinite energy called Mother Flame. And someone used that on us."
"…"
No one spoke up, waiting for Shun's decision.
"Before dealing with the one who used it, I think we should deal with Vegapunk. Use a Buster Call and send Akainu."
"!"
Everyone had mixed opinions, like Hibari, since it was her dad. But once again, no one spoke up. It had been a long, dreadful day.
'It's not that simple.' Sengoku wanted to say but didn't
'Having a mad dog that would annihilate everyone is actually not that bad,' Shun thought before teleporting the Seven Dwarves back to their ship.
Since their summoning worked like celestial spirit magic, they would go back to where they were after their summoning. Otherwise, it would be a headache to walk them home every time they were summoned.
Once the Seven Dwarves went back, Shun looked at the sky. The islands were luckily high enough in the sky to avoid the attacks, but the ships weren't lucky enough and were all destroyed.
'Well, they can't have anything useful on those ships.'
Shun made the islands float a bit away from Sabaody, then left them there.
"All right, I'll go rest for the day."
POP!
"…"
Shun returned to the Seven Dwarves' ship to take a nap.
He made a bed on the deck instead of going inside. Then, without waiting for anything, he fell asleep under the eyes of the seven and one bird.
After two hours, Shun woke up.
When he opened his eyes, two figures were sleeping on his chest.
"…"
'What is this?'
One was Snake, to no one's surprise, but the other one was the yellow bird.
'You damn bird, do we know each other? Are we that close?' Shun complained, seeing its peaceful sleeping face.
When he looked around, there were six more kids around, five asleep, except for Shark on the steering wheel.
'I think I underestimated those kids and, most importantly, misjudged their characters. I thought Moria and Doflamingo's Seraphim would be likely to hate being together with me and the other kids, but… they're the most devoted towards the family. Now that I think about it, Doflamingo in the original liked his Donquixote family a lot, while Moria had his companions killed by Kaido and lived for revenge. Snake is the least and most troublesome one on this ship, while Bear often has the same dumb, kind smile on his face most of the time. Shark seems to like the sea and is grateful for removing the ridiculous weakness of being unable to swim. Crocodile and Hawk don't talk much, but they don't complain either. They're the most eager ones when it's time for dinner cooked by me,' Shun was getting a bit emotional thinking about their growth.
I was tired and didn't deal properly with the Uranus incident earlier, but with their lives disregarded, Sengoku and Garp should be willing to work with me in the future. By having Tesoro sponsor the Marines for a month or two, we could cut ties with the World Government and gain control, then become the new World Government.
Devil Fruit users not being able to swim is a ridiculous weakness. I'm guessing the King of the World, Imu, uses some kind of power other than Devil Fruits, and it has some ridiculous weakness too, like not being able to stand under the sun.
Sun being a weakness is more normal than not being able to swim, after all.
This theory should be close to the truth, otherwise the World Government would have hoarded all the strong fruits. Like Shiki's, Whitebeard's, and World's. They had over 800 years for it, they must have had plenty of chances, but they didn't.
Well, enough about this world. Even if they were strong, I doubt I'll have a problem dealing with them.
It's November in the Fairy Tail world, meaning in a month there will be an S-Class exam. The Acnologia arc is finally starting. Ur and Ultear had gone together to work on Grimoire Heart jobs.
I'll go back and hunt Serena.
Shun made a simple plan and slowly got up, waking up the bird and Snake in the process.
Shun got up and made dinner. He tried deep-frying dinosaur meat from Little Garden, and it was well-received as always.
After that, Shun made a beach chair and took out a book and some magic glasses from the Fairy Tail world. Shun took a seat comfortably and started reading while the ship was sailing.
"What are you reading?" To no one's surprise, Snake came around with her bird named Biri.
'When I looked closer, this Biri bird is actually a mix between a duck and a peacock that can fly and produce lightning attacks. Quite useful.'
"Magic book on how to use Iced Shell."
Shun didn't beat around the bush and was honest, as he thought Snake wouldn't be interested anyway. But to his surprise, she kept staring at the book.
"Are you interested?"
"No." She was honest, too.
"I have a gift for you," Shun said and copied the magic glasses.
'Those kids should be getting bored by now.'
"Really?!"
Shun handed her a pair of magic glasses.
"It's a magic tool that helps in quick reading. I'll bring some books later."
Shun explained, but Snake ignored the book part and was busy trying on the glasses and making poses.
"Does it look good on me?"
"Yes." Shun and Biri nodded, since there was only one answer to that question.
'I was planning to give each of them glasses, but… since she is so happy today, I'll give them tomorrow, I guess,' Shun thought, seeing Snake happy about the gift, and decided to let her be happy for a day.
The group was almost reaching the Grand Line.
The ship was peaceful, with Hawk doing his training, Flamingo using his strings around the ship to hang the washed clothes and chatting around, and Shark steering the wheel, working as a navigator, too. Bat was still ecstatic about Shiki's corpse.
'I later had to repel the scent out of it. It would be disgusting otherwise.'
Bear was reading a book without magic glasses. Crocodile seemed to be thinking about something important, probably the ancient weapon power he saw earlier. Snake was still around wearing the glasses, even after telling her what they were used for. She was wearing them for fashion.
"Cough, cough, everyone." Shun faked some coughs to gather their attention.
"Since you've worked hard today, let's go play."
"Huh? Play?" Flamingo asked, surprised by the sudden turn of events.
"Yes." Shun lifted his finger and used his newly acquired power. The ship started floating into the air.
Shun, after the Shiki incident, had changed a bit, though he still hadn't realized it yet. He no longer bothered with holding back. In one way or another, Shiki, the flying fraud, had managed to humble him.
POP!
Shun teleported the entire ship directly to the last location where Gran Tesoro had been.
Currently, they were floating in the sky.
"This is the New World. It's even worse than the Grand Line, apparently. I've never sailed before, so I wouldn't know, but you guys should be fine," Shun explained, then pulled out Baccarat's Vivre Card.
'I don't know any other place to play. Let's just go to where I'm used to,' Shun thought, then used the Float-Float Fruit's ability to move the ship.
"Well, we're originally from this part of the sea."
Snake suddenly silenced Shun's explanation.
"…"
'I completely forgot. I guess I'm still tired, huh…'
"Whatever, let's go."
"…" x8
In half an hour, they arrived above the sky. They left the ship there and landed on the Gran Tesoro smoothly. The golden city was as grand as ever.
"Baccarat." Shun called out to the tall woman who would occasionally speak in English for some reason.
"Yes. Welcome to the Gran Tesoro," Baccarat welcomed them with a smile.
The news was already out; just earlier today, Shun and the kids were fighting a legend of the previous generation and defeated him. Baccarat was feeling proud, as if she were welcoming her husband and children.
"We came to play. I'll leave the choice of games up to you," Shun said and pointed towards the kids.
"Yes! Leave it to me." Baccarat spoke to her assistants, then…
"First, let's dress you guys up," Baccarat said and took the children.
A few moments later, the kids were dressed in comfortable but expensive-looking clothes. The boys were dressed in white suits, meanwhile, Snake was dressed in an extravagant white gown. Even the bird was wearing a hat and a coat.
'This woman had fun dressing them up, huh?'
As for Shun's clothes, he was still wearing the marine admiral uniform, though his clothes got ruined in the fight earlier. Arc of Time was an omnipotent magic.
"Now let's go to the entertainment area," Baccarat said and led them.
A few moments later, nine people and one bird were about to ride a roller coaster.
"It's about to start," Baccarat said. She was riding with them, sitting next to Shun, unintentionally earning Snake's grudge.
Swoosh!
When the roller coaster started… the reactions Baccarat expected weren't there.
Except for Snake and Biri's excited screams, the others weren't even phased. There were no emotions at all, except for Bear's small smile.
"…"
Once they were done, Baccarat thought she had to redo her planning.
But…
"Shun, we're going to enjoy ourselves," Flamingo said to Shun.
"Really? Then… I'll say it just in case, don't kill anyone unless they really deserve it. That's all, have fun."
Shun waved them goodbye. Except for Snake and the bird, everyone else seemed to be interested in playing in their own way. Most of them went to gamble, while some went to fight in small cage fights.
'Except for Snake, the others just call me by my name. Well, Snake is the shameless one here, I guess.'
"You're not going?" Shun asked. He honestly wanted her to go with them so he could play what he was interested in, too.
But reality was often disappointing.
"No." Snake said and stood before Shun, protectively blocking Baccarat.
"…"
For some reason, the bird Biri was also doing the same as her.
'This bird really acts too familiar, huh.'
Shun sighed, then took the three of them and went gambling for a while. He made sure to make Snake and Biri tired and bored. Then, after putting them to sleep, he went to play with Baccarat in another room.
