"You heard that?" Troy asked his father, clenching his jaw. I could already see the anger building inside him.
His stepmother looked away, as if trying to hide her reaction before anyone noticed.
As for George, it was obvious from his face that he had never imagined his son would grow up and hold him accountable.
"That never happened," Lord George instantly defended himself, shaking his head. "That was just your mother filling your ears with negativity against me."
Lord George placed all the blame on the innocent victim, whose eyes began to water.
"Really?" Troy questioned, his expression a mix of boredom and anger.
"Look, I was not the only one who had more than one mate. But your mother, unlike the others, took it differently. She turned everything into a competition. That is where all those negative remarks came from."
Lord George spoke in a gentle tone.
It honestly frustrated me that they still thought they could fool Troy.
