"I had to awaken you from the alcohol that had possessed you, hahahaha..," Matt said, laughing hard.
"Are you kidding me? I wasn't possessed at all!," Mickey denied.
"Dad, I am sorry, I was under the influence of alcohol!," Matt mimicked Mickey.
"C'mon bro! You're ashaming me!," Mickey said shyly. The two brothers continued laughing and having funny dialogues, which continued to surprise the people around them, especially Sarah and her two daughters, who stood at a distance watching the scene unfold.
"Are you surprised?," a voice came from behind the three ladies. Fatmah jumped up, "Oh! Master Yamato, you scared me to death!," she said.
"How do they do it?! Mickey's nose is even not attended to yet, but he has forgotten the pain, and there he is talking to his brother freely!" Sarah wondered aloud.
"Those two boys, now men, have a very long history that sewed them one to another," master Yamato told the wondering ladies.
"When the werewolf clan attacked their family, only Vini and those two survived, I was told. Then Vini hired me to come and protect them and also teach them self defense skills. Matt was the fast learner, and Mickey was the unserious student...," he started.
"Whenever it was time for training, Mickey would come up with a number of excuses to dodge the training. But when Mickey was in trouble, always Matt stood up for him. Unfortunately for Mickey, he was always a troublemaker and Matt had to fight for him, almost every time. Even when, Vini was scolding them, Matt could stand up for him. This made them grow very close. When they fought, their reconciliation was so fast. So, for me to see them that way, it's no big deal," master Yamato concluded.
The three ladies pitied the two men, and for Fatmah, she grew more loving of her husband, but also surprised at how many things she realized she didn't know about him. "I didn't know you grew up in such a miserable life!," Fatmah thought of him.
"C'mon, let's go meet these ladies!," Matt dragged Mickey before he could have time to resist. The two came to the three ladies, with master Yamato standing behind them.
"Please, I meant every word I said earlier. I am really sorry!," Mickey said, humbling himself. But by this time, everyone had developed a soft heart for him.
"Forget it!," Vanny said, hurriedly, stopping him from continuing.
"Your nose isn't dressed yet, isn't it hurting?," Sarah asked, concerned.
Matt touched it playfully and Mickey jumped, screaming in pain.
"Damn! Matt, it hurts!!," he cursed.
Everyone's attention turned to them and he turned shyly. Sarah took him by the hand and led him away, like her little son. He followed without any resistance and Matt followed them, together with the two sisters.
"Where is the first aid kit?," Sarah asked, seating him on the couch.
Matt brought it hurriedly, and Sarah dressed his nose perfectly well.
Back in the town, Reyes called Sam to know if he had any news but he received the same old news. The only news was about the old bungalow.
"What about the old bungalow?," Reyes asked.
"I found the place marked with 'no entry, police only' marks," Sam replied.
"What's going on? At the deputy sheriff's home, I found the same thing. Could they have...? No! No! No!," Reyes said before hanging up.
"Big bro, Reyes! Reyes!," Sam tried to call but the line was dead. Reyes had hung up on him.
"That's strange!," Sam said looking at the screen of his phone.
He then pressed harder on the accerelator and reached Mitete town. He was perfectly in time to find Reyes' car speeding highly to the police station.
Reyes stopped in the police parking lot and jumping out of the car, he slammed the door behind him and ran towards the police building.
Sam had been quick enough and had followed him.
"Reyes! Big bro!," Sam called, but Reyes seemed to not hear him.
When he reached the door, he entered swiftly, attracting the attention of all the people inside the police station.
"Stop there!," commanded one police officer, "what's your problem? Why are you rushing and to where are you going?"
"I want, to see the sheriff, now!," Reyes said, panting and gasping for breath. "It's urgent! Where's he?," he continued.
By that time, Sam had also entered the police station, worried about his brother, not with the behavior he had just exhibited!
It was very strange!
"Reyes!," Sam called again. Reyes turned to see his brother, with a worried puzzled look on his face.
"The old man was right!," said Reyes, before the sheriff came out of his office.
"What's the commotion for, here?," demanded the sheriff.
"Sheriff, please come with me! There's a big problem!," Reyes said, with a serious concerned expression.
The sheriff looked at the man and straight away recognized him as Reyes Kubo a member of the Kubo family, headed by Lamech Kubo.
The sheriff didn't ask anything but followed him sheepishly. The officers at the station were puzzled, but didn't dare to ask a question.
Reyes led the sheriff out of the police station and when they were outside, the sheriff demanded, "what's going on? Can you tell what this means?"
"It's about Minteh, the deputy sheriff and Chiko, the son to the old man who lived at the old bungalow, whom Minteh..., killed!," he said trailing off.
"Stop!, I mean wait a minute! Don't tell me..,?," the sheriff, afraid to be struck by the reality of his thoughts, left the question hanging, though Reyes seemed to understand it.
"I am afraid it might be true!," Reyes answered, in a solemn tone.
"Oh no! But does your brother think that he's above the law? Where's he now?," demanded the sheriff in deep quiet commanding voice.
"Sheriff listen to me, the old man was worried about his son and sent us to look for him, but all the places we went to, led us to one conclusion; he might have got into a fight with them and maybe one, or two or all of them might be dead! I mean we can't locate any of them!," Sam intervened in their tense conversation.
"And who are you young man?," the sheriff asked
"He's Sam, my brother!," Reyes replied.
"Sheriff, let's brainstorm for where they could be, then we shall disagree later!," Reyes suggested.
