Chapter 471 - Chapter 471: Opening the Lid

"BOOM!!!"

A deafening explosion erupted, accompanied by uncountable arcs of psychic lightning and blinding radiance.

Like the tremors of creation itself, the shockwave swept across the vast expanse of the Warp without warning.

Under that power—capable of annihilating time and space, dissolving causality and fate—countless daemons and Warp-spawn perished instantly.

Entire sub-universes and dimensions were flattened in an instant.

Even the idle Chaos Gods turned their gaze toward the source of the disturbance.

And to their surprise, they found it emanated from Tzeentch's domain—the Crystal Labyrinth.

The Labyrinth, normally an infinite, distorted universe spanning unending dimensions, now bore a titanic wound: a rift stretching billions upon billions of light-years across.

Through it, Orsaga even caught a glimpse of Tzeentch, hastily regenerating his arm.

And through the shared senses of Chaos Gods and abyssal daemons alike, he faintly perceived that something new had been forced into this Multiverse…

At once, he understood the cause.

"So, you tried to reach into another dimension…"

With that realization, Orsaga's lips curled into a mocking smile.

Even for him—whose own strength partly drew from beyond this Multiverse—escaping the bounds of this reality was no simple matter. For the other Chaos Gods, it was far harder.

The explosion just now was clearly the backlash from Tzeentch's reckless attempt to make contact with another dimension.

As for the foreign objects now scattered throughout this multiverse—they must have been fragments pushed in by that violent reaction.

And indeed, events had unfolded exactly as Orsaga surmised.

The massive blast was nothing more than an accident—born from Tzeentch's rash experiment.

Now, having restored his arm, Tzeentch quickly sealed the wound in his domain, shutting out the prying gazes of the other Chaos Gods.

When all was secured, he brooded uneasily.

"That reaction… it's going to be a real problem."

He had expected obstacles when extending his reach outward. But never had he imagined the resistance would come from the Multiverse itself!

The moment his arm crossed the boundary, a vast force struck back, forcibly severing his limb in a backlash of uncontrolled energy.

And because that power had originated from his own essence, the Crystal Labyrinth had offered no resistance—it had simply torn apart.

"This multiverse is rejecting my exit…"

Frowning, Tzeentch fell into thought. Then his gaze shifted to a corner of the Labyrinth.

There stood a figure resembling a human, watching him warily.

But aside from that intruder, Tzeentch also sensed something else: the chaotic energy unleashed by his severed arm had scattered fragments of external matter across many universes of this Multiverse.

"It will take some time to recover them…"

Flexing his newly-regrown arm, he scowled.

For a Chaos God, a severed limb was normally nothing—an instant's thought would restore it.

But in this case, either due to the violent reaction or because the injury occurred outside the Multiverse, he could feel that this arm would take far longer to fully heal.

And as his gaze fell upon the intruder, the stranger felt the crushing weight of divine pressure descend.

"What sort of fiend is this? Its aura… terrifying…"

That stranger was Ye Luosha, a peak Immortal Emperor of the Celestial Realm.

He had believed that after breaking through to the pinnacle, he would ascend directly to the Taixu Divine Realm, just as the scriptures of his sect described.

But instead, the guiding divine light had faltered, casting him into this unknown place.

From the instant he arrived, he had felt the overwhelming rejection of the universe itself. His power, once boundless, was suppressed to barely twenty or thirty percent of its true strength.

Still, that was a problem he believed he could resolve in time.

At least, it did not kill him outright.

But now—facing the strange, blue-feathered, eagle-headed, leonine demon before him—his instincts screamed.

The secret art he had cultivated for thirty million years, the Mystic Qi Perception Method, shrieked at him to flee.

Never before had he felt such a deadly warning.

Reflexively, his hand closed upon a golden wooden token at his waist.

It was an expendable ancestral treasure of his sect, one passed down through countless generations.

When activated, it could unleash either a perfect defense—capable of withstanding attacks that could shatter worlds—or a strike that ignored all distance, obliterating the foe body and soul.

But because of its value, Ye Luosha hesitated. He would rather attempt dialogue first, and perhaps glean useful knowledge from the creature before deciding.

"I merely strayed by accident…"

Yet Tzeentch had no interest in his words.

To his eyes, this so-called human was nothing of the sort—merely a foreign entity with a vaguely humanlike shell.

Its energy signature didn't even reach the level of a Greater Daemon.

Hardly worth wasting thought.

Impatience flickered in Tzeentch's mind.

And in the next instant, Ye Luosha's vision blurred.

Before he realized it, his head was already gripped in Tzeentch's clawed hand, the talons piercing deep into his skull.

Only then did agony register.

Panic surged, and he struggled desperately—only to realize something even worse.

His supposedly indestructible immortal body… was gone.

Nothing remained of him but his severed head.

Terror engulfed him.

"W-wait—!"

But Tzeentch cared nothing for his pleas.

With a casual flick, the talons popped his skull open like the lid of a jar, exposing brain and soul.

"Smells decent enough…"

Murmuring to himself, Tzeentch bit down.

Through flesh and spirit, he devoured not only meat but memory itself.

"The Diamond Soul Sutra… the Soul-Severing Blade Art…

Ascension?…

The Sublong Dynasty?…

The Taidewang Sect?…

What kind of nonsense is this?

Weak, but with decent potential…"

For the moment, he was satisfied with the harvest.

As Tzeentch savored his spoils, Orsaga—sensitive to the lingering breath of other dimensions—quickly located several foreign fragments drifting outside the Crystal Labyrinth.

Most were worthless refuse.

But a few… were intriguing enough to stir his interest.
