The Abyss.
Fifteen days later.
The bloodflames and molten substances within the enormous crater had all but vanished.
Floating silently at its center was a massive egg—over 200 meters tall and more than 100 meters wide.
At a glance, it resembled a living star.
As its shell pulsed rhythmically, waves of toxic, searing heat radiated outward, directly distorting the fabric of space. Centered on the egg, the waves rapidly expanded, turning the surrounding region into a poisonous, blistering purgatory.
Even material from a neutron star would, under such devastating temperatures, slowly erode and dissolve.
The egg's pulsations became faster, more violent.
Invisible shockwaves of sound swept across millions of kilometers in every direction. Any creature not yet at the level of an Archdemon would perish instantly—without even a moment to react—reduced to nothing but blood and pulp.
Drawn by some unknown call, those puddles of blood defied space itself, flowing directly into the crater below, forming a thick, crimson sea.
From top to bottom, it poured onto the massive egg with a stench of overwhelming bloodlust—and the egg absorbed every drop without resistance.
Once the blood was entirely consumed, the egg's movements began to slow.
Eventually, it fell completely silent.
The remaining chaotic energies scattered across the crater began to converge as if drawn by a vortex, rushing into the egg and being devoured without end.
Then came long hours of absolute stillness.
In the silence, at first faint, then gradually growing clearer, came waves of incomprehensible whispers echoing across the surrounding space.
As time passed, the whispers grew louder—shifting in tone and tempo, becoming increasingly urgent, increasingly deranged.
They sounded at once like reverent praise from the depths of the soul—and at the same time, as if they were venomous curses that sought to tear the world apart.
At that moment, a stream of radiant golden light began to flow out from within the egg.
The light moved like liquid, spilling slowly into the crater and transforming it into a lake of pure gold, casting the egg in a holy, almost divine glow.
But the golden light did not last.
Gradually, the golden streams turned blood-red, staining the lake with a new, violent hue.
Then, crimson Deathblossoms—strikingly beautiful and soaked in dread—began to bloom out of the void itself, rooting into the golden lake one by one, releasing waves of blood mist and fragrance as they opened.
And then... the egg changed.
In absolute silence...
It began to crack.
As the broken shards of the eggshell scattered like drifting petals, transforming into Deathblossoms that fluttered on the wind—
Orsaga opened his eyes.
Calmly.
At that moment, he stood over 350 meters tall, and his weight had multiplied many times over—surpassing that of most small celestial bodies. He now resembled a living neutron star, a colossal titan made flesh.
The twin horns on his head had, during the ascension, split and evolved.
Now they had become four pairs of interwoven antlers, forming a crown-like structure atop his head—both regal and dreadful.
Behind him, hundreds of thousands of halos spun slowly, and nine pairs of long, slender wings—each over 390 meters long and covered in crimson scales—unfurled in a subtle, terrifying display.
His tail, over 400 meters in length, flicked lazily behind him. The trident-shaped tip moved with the casual menace of a poised viper—ready to strike at any time.
His exoskeleton still retained the general shape of his former form, but it had grown more elaborate, more solemn, more intricate. Every inch of his body was now inscribed with countless sigils of praise, curses, and blooming Deathblossoms.
Clenching his fist, Orsaga felt the power coursing through his body—power that had grown by a factor of thousands compared to before his ascension.
He exhaled casually—and the breath alone became a tangible hurricane, blasting a tunnel tens of thousands of meters deep into the crater wall.
He could feel it clearly—
If he didn't suppress his power...
Then merely standing here would unleash energy tides that would melt and consume everything around him.
Like an inferno incinerating snowflakes.
This… was a completely different realm of power.
This was no longer the level of a greater Demon.
This was the birth of an Archdemon.

Transcendence – Crimson Sin
(Effect 1: Transcending Mortality) – As one who stands above mortal creatures, most natural laws no longer apply to you. Lower-level external forces can be ignored.
(Effect 2: Path of Ascension) – So long as you continue to exist, you will naturally evolve toward higher tiers. Devouring valuable entities accelerates this process.
(Effect 3: Crimson Sin) – Your power forms a self-sustaining internal cycle. As long as energy consumption remains within limit, it can regenerate itself indefinitely. Absorbing external negative energies increases your maximum threshold.
(Effect 4: Eternal Undeath) – Thanks to the endless energy from Effect 3, you can resurrect indefinitely. Only superior beings, wielding higher-level concepts or laws, can prevent this.
Abyssal Revelation – All Things Made Known
(Effect 1: A gift from the Will of the Abyss, granting perception beyond normal limits.
(Effect 2: No magic is forbidden; no law is out of reach. Everything is yours to study and master.
Plagueflame of Death – Mark of Suffering
(Effect: Plague, bloodflame, and torment—these are the manifestations of your power. You can freely switch between and control the three. Wherever they touch, they leave behind your eternal mark.
Sovereign Will – Reality Distortion
(Effect: Your will acts directly upon reality, warping all tangible and intangible forms. As long as your power is sufficient, your thoughts become absolute truth.
Spellcycle – Wheel of Infinity
(Effect: Born of your self-created cultivation system, "Spellcycle," and solidified upon ascension as a unique talent. It allows you to condense spells, divine arts, wizardry, shamanic rituals, and other casting systems into Spellwheels, integrating them into your internal cycle and providing scalable special abilities.
Abyssal Contract – High Pact
(Effect: Through the Abyss, you possess the ability to accept summoning independently and form pacts with other beings using abyssal energy as a medium.
Note 1: No one can break a High Pact—not even a Demon Prince.
Note 2: As a native of the Abyss, Archdemons like yourself enjoy a degree of privilege.
Note 3: That privilege only goes so far. Don't get reckless…
Demonic Summoning – Legion of the Abyss
(Effect 1: A natural ability of Archdemon: summon demons of lower rank from the Abyss. Quantity depends on your own power.
(Effect 2: If you have a dedicated demon legion, your summoning can shift from random to targeted. Summoning conditions and resource cost will be significantly reduced compared to conventional summoning.
