Synopsis
Some secrets are buried so deep, even the man holding the mirror isn't ready to face them. Waking up naked and half-frozen on the edges of the forbidden forest of Yanaha, a young man remembers absolutely nothing. He doesn't know his name, he doesn't know his past, and he doesn't know why the sight of the kingdom’s two great rivers fills his soul with primal terror. All he knows is that the forest is filled with skinless corpses, and the Holy Monasteries are conducting deadly, underground experiments on children to unlock a power they call the 'Brain Worm.' Hunted by the armored knights of Etree and left for dead, he must wander an unfamiliar, harsh world to piece together his identity. But as the fog lifts on his missing memories, he realizes that whatever is buried inside his mind might be far more dangerous than the monsters lurking in the woods.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Prologue

Year : 1498 A.D

Somewhere west,

A beach smothered in fog. Snow falls softly, without mercy. Winter lingers in the air like a held breath. From within the fog, a figure emerges.A boy—no more than his late teens—staggers forward, gasping. One leg drags uselessly behind him, wounded beyond repair. Blood seeps from countless cuts, staining the snow and wet sand beneath his feet. Both his palms are gone, severed violently. Bone glints white through red, almost indistinguishable from the snow itself. Each step leaves a trail.

The only warmth left in him is the air he exhales, trembling and faint. He spots a cave along the shoreline and forces himself inside. And the darkness swallows him. He collapses against the stone, curling inward, trying to keep what little heat remains. For a long time, there is only his breathing.

Then, in a voice barely louder than the wind, broken by pauses and pain, he speaks.

"God… I… have… a lot of complaints and Regrets." He swallows, breath shaking.

"And I intend to be answered."

He buries his tearful face against his ruined arms, turning toward the earth.
