Chapter 73 - Chapter 72 The Beach Resort

The train rattled steadily down the tracks, the soft hum of its magic-powered engines blending with the rhythmic clatter of wheels. But peace was the last thing anyone inside Car Seven was experiencing.

"Ugh… I'm gonna die…" Issei slumped against the seat, face pale and body trembling. Across the aisle, Natsu wasn't faring any better clutching his stomach and mumbling something about the spinning walls of doom.

Lucy sighed, dabbing Natsu's forehead with a damp cloth. "You act like this every single time, you know."

"I didn't ask for this curse…" Natsu groaned, eyes unfocused.

Meanwhile, Issei's girls surrounded him in varying degrees of concern and panic. Yuuka fanned him with her hat. "He's burning up!"

Akistu could be seen using her ice make to cool Issei.

Tamamo placed a cool hand on Issei's cheek, worry softening her usual playful tone. "He's really suffering from this."

Matsu, notebook already open, scribbled frantically. "Fascinating! I wonder if all dragon slayers suffer from this! Is this caused because of their enhanced senses, if so I must—"

"Matsu, not now!" Yuuka hissed.

Issei groaned louder, clutching his stomach. "Please… someone… make it stop…"

Tamamo stroked his hair gently. "Just breathe, darling. Focus on my voice."

"I'm trying," he said weakly, "but everything's spinning…"

Yashima pressed a warm hand against his back and began rubbing his back to soothe his pain. "Maybe if we just try to comfort him it will lessen his pain…"

Uzume, crouched at his other side, rubbed small circles between his shoulders. "Hang in there, Issei. We've fought worse than motion sickness."

"Yeah," Issei muttered, "but those things didn't make me feel like I'm being spun in a blender…"

Ruby, perched near the window, watched worriedly. "Is he gonna be okay?"

"He'll live," Tamamo assured her softly, "though he'll be very dramatic about it."

At that exact moment, Issei groaned, "Just… tell my parents I loved them and Sakura too."

"See?" Tamamo sighed.

And then Happy thought this was the perfect moment to impress his fellow cat and was seen flying small circles around Ruby, holding out a wilted flower. "How about now, pretty kitty? Wanna share a fish sandwich?"

Ruby didn't even turn her head. "No."

"Come on, at least smile!"

"No."

Happy hovered in front of her face, tail swishing. "You sure? I can dance too!"

He started wiggling midair in what he clearly thought was a seductive dance. Ruby blinked once, unimpressed. "If you keep doing that, I'll turn you into a pillow."

Happy froze. "You wouldn't!"

Ruby's eyes narrowed. "Try me."

The blue cat wisely retreated to the window seat with a nervous chuckle.

Gray sat a few rows away, pretending none of this was happening. His chin rested on his hand as he stared out at the countryside whizzing past. "Unbelievable," He muttered, "two Dragon Slayers down, and one entire harem in full panic mode."

But as he leaned against the window, a chill crawled down his neck. That feeling again. Someone or something was staring at him.

He turned his head slowly. Nothing. Just passengers chatting quietly, the girls tending to Issei, and Natsu half-conscious on Lucy's lap.

"…Weird." Gray rubbed the back of his neck and went back to watching the landscape, though the uneasy feeling didn't leave.

—-------------------------

Yuuka was now holding a water bottle, Akitsu was channeling her cold energy, and Tamamo kept murmuring soothing words while Issei lay with his head resting on her lap.

Uzume sighed. "This is ridiculous. The great Issei Hyoudou, taken out by a train ride."

Tamamo smiled faintly. "Even dragons have their weaknesses."

"Yeah," Yuuka added with a chuckle. "Apparently it's public transportation."

Despite their teasing, the warmth in their voices showed a clear concern hidden beneath humor. Tamamo's tails wrapped protectively around Issei as she continued to cool his forehead with gentle magic.

Ruby turned from the window, her ears drooping. "He'll get better soon, right?"

Tamamo nodded softly. "He always does. It'll pass… and then he'll probably pretend he wasn't suffering at all."

Uzume grinned. "Yeah, that sounds like him."

But then the train screeched softly as it slowed to a stop, the rhythmic clatter of wheels finally fading into silence. The magic lights above flickered once before dimming, signaling the end of the journey.

"Finally," Yuuka sighed, stretching her arms high with relief. "I thought I'd go crazy if I heard one more groan."

The girls turned their attention toward the two poor souls who had suffered most of the ride only to blink in confusion.

"Wait," Uzume said slowly, scanning the seats. "Where'd they go?"

Matsu looked around, puzzled. "They were just here!"

Tamamo's ears twitched, sensing their energy signatures before sighing softly. "Oh dear…"

—----------------------

Akane Beach, Train Station

The moment the doors slid open, and the cool sea breeze rolled in carrying with it the unmistakable sound of victory cries.

"WE'RE ALIVE!"

Every passenger still disembarking turned to see the spectacle of two men, Issei Hyoudou and Natsu Dragneel, standing triumphantly outside the platform, fists raised toward the sky as if they had just slain a dragon together.

"TAKE THAT, METAL DEATH TRAP!" Natsu shouted, pointing dramatically back at the train.

Issei pumped his fist beside him, his voice raw but victorious. "Never again! I'll walk across Fiore before I set foot on another one of those things!"

The pair collapsed to their knees in mock exhaustion, laughing breathlessly like survivors of some epic battle. Around them, onlookers whispered and stared, some amused, others giving them a wide berth.

"Tourists," Someone muttered under their breath.

Tamamo and Lucy stepped out right behind them, both smiling and sighing in unison.

"Honestly," Lucy said, shaking her head, "you'd think they'd just survived the apocalypse."

Tamamo chuckled softly, her tails swaying behind her. "Let them have their moment. I'm simply glad my darling is still breathing."

"Barely," Uzume muttered, rolling her eyes as she and the others joined them on the platform. "They're making a scene."

Ruby perched on Issei's shoulder once again, flicking his ear with her tail. "You're embarrassing us, you know."

Issei grinned weakly up at her. "Worth it."

But once the show faded, the group's attention turned toward the horizon and immediately, all words died on their tongues.

The beach resort stood just beyond the station, a breathtaking sight that seemed to belong in a storybook. The grand hotel loomed like a castle sculpted from white stone and coral, with tall towers crowned by banners fluttering in the sea breeze. Wide balconies overlooked the glittering shoreline, and the sound of waves crashing against the sand created a rhythm that blended perfectly with the cries of distant seagulls.

The beachfront itself stretched for miles, soft golden sand dotted with colorful umbrellas, vacationers splashing in the surf, and merchants selling cool drinks under palm shades. Magic-powered lanterns floated gently in the air, casting a soft glow over the water even in daylight.

Yashima clasped her hands together, eyes sparkling. "It's… gorgeous."

Akitsu's usually calm expression softened with quiet awe. "It's like something out of a dream."

Even Matsu paused in her note-taking, adjusting her glasses as she gazed at the glowing mana channels running along the resort's architecture. "Oh… the view is magnificent!"

Yuuka whistled low. "Now this is what I call a vacation spot."

Uzume grinned, shading her eyes as she looked at the beach. "Big waves, hot sun, and a castle for a hotel. Tamamo really knows how to pick 'em."

Tamamo smiled modestly, her tails fluttering in satisfaction. "All luck, my dears. Fate must have wanted us to rest here."

Lucy, standing beside her, nodded. "It's the same place our guild got tickets for. Should we plan our trips together for the next few days?"

Erza's eyes gleamed. "Perfect. We can enjoy peace and camaraderie together."

Gray groaned. "Or chaos. Probably chaos."

—------------------------------

After the initial awe, the group gathered their belongings and made their way down the marble path leading to the hotel's grand entrance. The air grew c, carrying the scent of salt, coconut, and fresh pastries from a nearby café.

The lobby was as grand as the exterior, marble floors that gleamed when polished, enchanted chandeliers shaped like shells, and tall windows that let in rays of golden sunlight. A shimmering fountain in the center displayed magic fish swimming through the air before dissolving into sparkles.

"Whoa…" Ruby whispered, her tail flicking in wonder. "Even the air feels fancy."

Matsu adjusted her glasses, clearly fascinated by the enchanted décor. "This vacation is proving to be more useful at giving me more grand ideas."

Yuuka leaned over to Uzume with a grin. "We're going to have to watch over her, aren't we?"

Uzume smirked. "Yup."

At the reception desk, a smiling attendant in a crisp white uniform greeted them. "Welcome to the Aqua Crown Resort! Are you checking in?"

Tamamo stepped forward gracefully, producing their stack of raffle tickets. "Indeed. We're here under the raffle event prize — ten guests."

The clerk's eyes widened in recognition. "Ah! The winners of the first-prize draw! We've been expecting you."

He retrieved a polished wooden box and opened it, revealing a collection of elegant keys glowing faintly with enchantment. "Your suite is ready, the Royal Ocean Terrace, one of our finest accommodations. It overlooks both the sea and the gardens. Breakfast and dinner are included."

Uzume grinned. "Royal suite? Now that's my kind of prize."

Misuki smiled softly. "Tamamo, you really did pick the right raffle."

Tamamo giggled. "Sometimes fortune favors this fox."

As the group received their keys, the attendant gestured toward the elevators. "Please, enjoy your stay and welcome to paradise."

The group turned toward one another, smiles spreading across every face.

Issei stretched, finally free of the train's curse, and looked toward the massive windows where the sunlight danced over the sea. "You heard the man," he said with a grin. "Let's make the most of it."

—--------------------------------------

Aqua Crown Resort

When the two groups reached their floors, Issei and his companions stopped outside a set of double doors. The moment the doors opened, everyone fell silent.

The suite was enormous, tall glass windows looking out to the sea, a living area filled with velvet couches, and a single master bed so wide it could have passed for a small island. A soft sea breeze drifted in from the balcony, carrying the scent of salt and flowers.

"Wow…" Yuuka breathed, setting her bag down. "This place could fit a classroom."

Uzume whistled. "Or one very enthusiastic cuddle pile."

Misuki laughed lightly. "Speaking of which, I suppose this will be my first time joining that famous cuddle pile everyone keeps talking about."

Yashima covered a smile behind her sleeve. "You'll get used to it, Misuki. There's an art to finding space around Issei without being elbowed."

"I-I don't mind the crowding," Issei said, rubbing the back of his neck, a familiar grin creeping in. "Warmth, softness, good dreams—what's not to love?"

Uzume nudged him with her elbow. "See? He never complains."

Ruby, perched by the window, turned crimson. "W-wait, do I have to—um—join that too?"

Yashima chuckled. "Relax, little one. There are plenty of rooms. You can have your own."

Ruby sighed in relief. "Oh, thank goodness."

Soon the suite filled with the sounds of zippers and drawers as everyone began unpacking. Miya opened a wardrobe and admired the neatly folded towels. "This resort really thinks of everything."

Misuki clapped her hands once. "Alright, everyone, quick change. We promised Lucy and Erza we'd meet them at the beach with the boys."

Uzume's grin widened. "Good thing I finished everyone's new swimwear yesterday." She produced a set of folded outfits from her bag like a magician revealing her grand trick. "Custom made and ready. You're welcome."

The girls gathered around her in excitement, admiring the colors and designs.

"Even one for Ruby and Sakura," Uzume added proudly.

Ruby's ears perked up. "You made one for Sakura too?"

"Of course," Uzume said. "When she comes next time, she'll match the rest of us."

That made Issei smile. "Yeah… next time we're definitely bringing her. She'd love the beach."

As the girls began trying on their new swimwear, laughter and playful chatter filled the room. Issei, still standing by the window, couldn't help staring, he couldn't even blink as he didn't want to miss a second of the heavenly sight as each girl took off their clothes revealing their oppai. He was so thankful and glad that the girls were so understanding as the girls didn't care if he watched and in fact encouraged it.

Tamamo adjusted the strap of a blue bikini with red trim; Akitsu chose a simple white set that suited her calm nature. Uzume's fiery red contrasted Matsu's deep green, while Miya's lavender stripes and short white cover-coat gave her a soft elegance. Yuuka opted for a sporty blue two-piece with a loose shirt over it, and Misuki's black-and-white ensemble carried quiet confidence. Even Ruby twirled shyly in a modest school-style suit that Uzume had tailored just for her.

When the last of them turned toward Issei, he realized he was still in his travel clothes and staring.

Uzume crossed her arms, smirking. "You planning to swim in that, Issei?"

"I, uh…" Issei scratched his cheek, trying not to blush. "Got distracted by the view."

Tamamo giggled and tossed him a pair of black swim trunks. "Then allow us to return the favor. Change, darling."

Matsu clapped her hands. "You heard the lady! Beach time awaits!"

A few moments later, Issei emerged ready at last, the group looking perfectly at home against the backdrop of sun and sea outside their window.

"Alright," Yuuka said, adjusting her hat. "Let's go meet Fairy Tail before they think we ditched them."

Issei opened the door, flashing a grin. "To the beach and to the best vacation ever."

The girls cheered softly as they stepped into the hall together, laughter following them all the way toward the sunlight waiting beyond the corridor.

—------------------------

The golden sand shimmered under the midday sun, and the waves rolled lazily toward the shore. The ocean sparkled like liquid crystal, and the air was filled with the smell of salt, fruit drinks, and laughter.

Issei and his group walked along the boardwalk toward the stretch of sand where they had spotted Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, and Happy waiting. Every step drew attention from various guys and not just a little.

Heads turned. Conversations stopped. Sunbathers lifted their glasses only to forget what they were drinking.

Men across the beach froze mid-motion as the Hyoudou women approached, sunlight glinting off the bright colors of their swimsuits, their laughter carrying like music on the breeze. A few boyfriends earned sharp glares or elbow jabs from their jealous partners for staring too long.

Uzume leaned toward Yuuka with a grin. "I think we're causing traffic."

Yuuka smirked, tugging down her sunhat. "Let them look. It's not our fault we look this good."

Matsu was too busy scribbling something to notice the commotion, while Tamamo simply smiled, tails swaying behind her not caring a single bit.

Ruby, trotting alongside Issei's feet in her small sun hat, sighed. "Why do humans get so weird about skin and cloth?"

"Because they're weird," Uzume replied without missing a beat.

Ahead, laughter rang out as Natsu and Gray were already waist-deep in the water, flinging waves at each other in what was clearly a battle that had escalated from "friendly splash fight" to "undeclared war."

Lucy spotted them from her towel and waved excitedly. "Hey! Over here!"

The group approached, waving back as they reached the heart of the beach where the Fairy Tail crew had set up.

"Glad you made it!" Lucy said brightly. "We were wondering if you guys got lost!"

"Not a chance," Yuuka said, adjusting her sunglasses. "We were just taking our time to get changed."

Misuki smiled politely as she set down her beach bag. "Our suite is lovely. Spacious, comfortable… and with a view that makes you forget the world exists."

Erza nodded approvingly. "This resort spares no expense. It's one of the finest I've seen."

Issei, glancing between Lucy and Erza, noticed the bright colors of their swimsuits — Erza's golden two-piece complemented her skin perfectly, and Lucy's pink bikini was adorable.

"You two look really great," Issei said with a grin, offering an easy thumbs-up.

Erza blinked, cheeks tinting pink. "O-oh. Thank you, Issei."

Lucy laughed, placing a hand on her hip. "Wow, smooth talker. Should you really be saying that with your entire harem standing behind you?"

Issei shrugged with a grin. "Hey, if I see beauty, I acknowledge it. Wouldn't be me otherwise."

Uzume groaned. "He's not wrong, but I still can't decide if it's charming or dangerous."

Before anyone could add to the teasing, Natsu, now dripping wet stomped up, glaring. "Hey! Don't flirt with Lucy!"

Issei blinked. "Flirt? I was giving a compliment."

"You were smiling and being a jerk!" Natsu accused, jabbing a finger at him.

"I smile at everyone," Issei replied, deadpan.

Natsu growled. "Don't make me fight you!"

"Relax," Issei said, catching Natsu's next kick with one hand before it could land. "I'm not interested in Lucy that way. You can stop marking your territory."

Lucy groaned, burying her face in her hands. "You two are hopeless."

But the moment passed as quickly as it came as both young men caught each other's gaze and grinned.

"Race you to that buoy out there!" Natsu shouted suddenly, pointing toward the glimmering red marker floating in the surf.

"You're on," Issei said instantly, his competitive spark igniting.

And before anyone could protest, both of them sprinted toward the ocean, kicking up sand behind them like twin whirlwinds.

Tamamo laughed softly, shading her eyes as she watched them dive into the waves. "Boys."

"Always competing over something," Uzume sighed, though her smile betrayed her amusement.

—----------------------------

Once the initial chaos subsided, the beach came alive with laughter and energy.

Issei and Natsu's race turned into a full-blown swimming contest, with Gray joining halfway through just to make it harder. Lucy and Misuki lounged beneath an umbrella, enjoying cold drinks while keeping score from afar.

Tamamo and Yuuka teamed up with Erza and Yashima for a few rounds of volleyball, drawing another small crowd as they spiked the ball with impossible precision and grace. Each rally ended in cheers and sometimes a small explosion when Tamamo forgot to restrain her magic.

On the quieter side of the shore, Akitsu and Ruby built a sandcastle or, more accurately, a full-scale sand fortress with moats, towers, and seashell gates. Matsu hovered nearby, making sure the castle's foundation was sound.

Uzume took a swim farther out, her laughter echoing across the water as she playfully splashed Issei the moment he reached the buoy.

"You cheated!" He shouted.

"It's not my fault I beat you!" She shouted back, laughing.

—---------------------------

Towels, drinks, and snacks were scattered nearby, and the atmosphere was relaxed, well almost perfect. Because from time to time, groups of men drifted over like moths to a flame.

"Excuse me, miss," One of them said, nervously rubbing the back of his neck as he approached Uzume and Yuuka, "you wouldn't happen to want company for a swim, would you?"

Uzume didn't even look up from her drink. "Already got company."

Yuuka smirked and held up her left hand, the sunlight catching the small band on her finger. "Taken. Try the snack stand, you might have better luck."

The man flushed bright red, mumbled something about misunderstanding, and bolted.

Another pair wandered over to Misuki and Miya, trying their best smiles, only to be met with polite, disarming refusals. Even Tamamo, with her usual warmth, simply laughed and said, "My heart is already quite full, dear."

Soon it became a pattern, approach, charm, and get politely destroyed.

Ruby, lounging under the umbrella with a drink nearly her size, watched the process like someone viewing a predictable stage play. "Humans are very persistent," she muttered.

Akitsu, sitting beside her, nodded. "And not very perceptive."

Across the beach, though, Lucy was watching with growing frustration. Her cheeks puffed as yet another group of guys glanced at Issei's harem, then awkwardly avoided her direction.

"Unbelievable…" she muttered, crossing her arms. "There's a cute girl right here!"

Her voice carried just enough for Natsu, who was lounging nearby after their earlier race, to hear. He turned his head, blinking, then smiled that lopsided grin of his. "Lucy, to me you've always been beautiful."

Lucy froze, eyes wide. "W-what?"

Natsu shrugged, completely sincere. "You said no one notices, but I do. You're the prettiest one here. And, uh…" he scratched the back of his head, his grin softening, "I'm still waiting on your answer about marrying me someday."

The words hit like a heatwave. Lucy's face went crimson. "Y-you can't just say that so casually!" she stammered, her heart pounding. "My heart isn't ready for that kind of talk yet!"

Natsu chuckled, leaning closer with that same unshakable grin. "That's fine. I'll wait."

For a moment, the noisy world around them faded. It was just the two of them — the sound of the sea, the warmth of sunlight, and the awkward but genuine affection between a girl and the boy too honest to hide his feelings.

Lucy looked away, hiding a small smile. "You're such an idiot…"

Natsu grinned wider. "Your idiot."

A few yards away, Erza sat quietly under the shade of another umbrella, lost in thought. She had noticed the same thing Lucy had earlier, that none of the men who approached the others had come her way.

'Perhaps I'm not as approachable,' She thought, a faint twinge of insecurity creeping in. 'Or maybe… I'm just not as beautiful as the others.'

Her reflection was interrupted by Issei's voice beside her.

"You know, if you're wondering why no one's approached you…" He said casually, handing her a drink, "it's probably because I'm sitting here."

Erza blinked, surprised. "You think so?"

He nodded with a grin. "Absolutely. If I step away for five seconds, I guarantee three of them will trip over themselves trying to talk to you."

Erza smiled faintly, the corners of her mouth curving into something soft. "That's… very sweet of you to say."

"Just being honest," Issei replied, taking a sip from his drink. "And for the record — you're every bit as beautiful as my girls. You've got this presence that kind of stops people in their tracks. Some guys are just too intimidated to try."

Her blush deepened slightly. "You have a way with words, Issei Hyoudou."

"Occupational hazard," he said with a grin.

She tilted her head, studying him curiously. "Though I wonder, don't you get jealous? With how many men keep approaching your harem?"

Issei chuckled, his tone calm and confident. "Of course I get jealous. I'm not made of stone. But I don't need to worry. I trust them. And trust beats jealousy every time."

Erza considered that for a moment and smiled, a quiet, genuine smile. "You're a rare man, Issei."

He shrugged. "More like a lucky one."

Before Erza could answer, a chorus of voices called out over the surf.

"Isseiiii~!"

He turned and was met with a sight that immediately brought a shiver of both fear and excitement.

Yuuka, Uzume, Tamamo, Misuki, and the rest of his harem were lined up along the towels, bottles of sunscreen in hand, smiling with an almost mischievous glow as they covered their breasts as the bra was left open.

"Can you help us apply sunscreen?" Yuuka asked sweetly. "You promised to be useful today."

Uzume winked. "Yeah. Don't keep your girls waiting."

Matsu added, "Scientific note, proper coverage and skin care prevents skin irritation!"

Issei froze for half a heartbeat… and then grinned, that unmistakable perverted sparkle lighting his eyes. "Oh, believe me, I'm more than happy to help."

Erza couldn't help but laugh as Issei jogged over to his group, the sound of teasing, laughter, and mock protests filling the air.

As he knelt down to help his wives, the girls' laughter mingled with the rhythm of the waves, and the whole beach seemed to glow a little brighter.

As the sun climbed higher, the beach became a canvas of color as umbrellas, laughter, and the shimmering reflection of the sky on the sea. Even the stoic Akitsu found herself smiling, sitting in the shallows with her feet buried in cool sand.

Lucy leaned back with a satisfied sigh. "You know, I think this might actually turn into a peaceful vacation."

Tamamo smiled knowingly beside her. "Let's not tempt fate, dear."

Because with Natsu and Issei already challenging each other to a "sandcastle demolition duel," peace was probably not going to last very long.

Still, for that moment with the sound of waves, laughter, and sunlight glinting off the water — it felt like paradise.

—---------------------

The sun had begun to dip toward the horizon, painting the sky in hues of amber, gold, and soft violet. The sound of waves had quieted to a steady, soothing rhythm, and the once-lively beach was now bathed in the tranquil glow of dusk.

Issei's group sat gathered around a large beach umbrella, their drinks glimmering with the last traces of sunlight while some had ice cream. Laughter mixed with the hum of the ocean breeze as everyone unwound after a long day of swimming, games, and sandcastle wars.

Lucy stretched, brushing a lock of her golden hair from her face. "Ahh… this has been amazing," She said, smiling as the evening air cooled around them. "Did you guys know the resort has a giant casino inside the main building?"

That caught everyone's attention instantly.

"A casino?" Uzume asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yup!" Lucy said brightly. "It's supposed to be huge, they've got roulettes, slot machines! You can win prizes, money, maybe even a vacation upgrade!"

Tamamo tilted her head, amused. "How very… indulgent. A den of chance beneath a palace of rest."

Misuki was already frowning slightly, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "Casinos are designed for people to lose money, not earn it," She said, her business instincts kicking in. "Every number, every card, is a calculation meant to favor the house."

"Sounds like someone's been to one before," Uzume teased.

Misuki smirked faintly. "I've studied them. I never needed to waste my hard earned money on luck."

But then, she paused, her eyes sliding toward Tamamo, who was quietly drinking her soda, her three tails fanned lazily behind her in the ocean breeze.

'Tamamo's luck,' Misuki thought suddenly, her eyes narrowing in realization. 'It's borderline supernatural… if not divine.' She leaned forward with a small, conspiratorial grin. "Actually… on second thought, this might be worth trying."

Yuuka blinked. "Wait, what changed?"

"Simple," Misuki said, crossing one leg over the other. "With Tamamo's luck, we can't possibly lose. Even if the rest of us throw away a few coins, one spin from her could fund the rest of our vacation."

Tamamo chuckled, eyes glinting playfully. "You make me sound like a walking fortune charm, Misuki."

"Because you are," Misuki replied smoothly. "Besides, where's the harm in turning a little fun into profit?"

Miya, lounging beside them, shook her head with a gentle sigh. "You and your schemes. I think I'll sit this one out. A casino sounds too noisy for me."

Tamamo nodded in agreement. "I was rather hoping for a quiet evening with my darling."

Issei smiled at them, scratching his cheek. "I wouldn't mind that either, honestly."

But before they could say more, Misuki's eyes sharpened with motherly authority. "No, no, you can have quiet time later. Tonight's about fun. We're all going."

"Eh?" Issei blinked.

Tamamo's ears twitched. "We?"

"Yes," Misuki said firmly, her voice carrying the tone of a woman who brokered deals for a living. "We're on vacation. You can flirt later and tonight, we will be making memories."

Yuuka laughed. "She's got that look again. There's no escaping her once she's decided."

Issei raised his hands in surrender, chuckling. "Alright, alright. Casino it is. But uh…" He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Just asking — are we even allowed? I mean, Yuuka and I aren't exactly old enough for this kind of thing back home."

Lucy waved a dismissive hand. "That's silly. Fiore doesn't really do age restrictions for stuff like that. Anyone can enter as long as they've got money to spend."

"...That sounds very on brand for Fiore," Matsu muttered, adjusting her glasses.

Issei sighed, looking at his girls for a vote. "Well? What do you all think?"

Uzume stretched and grinned. "Why not? I've never tried gambling. Could be fun."

Yuuka shrugged. "Same. Besides, if we win, drinks are on us tomorrow."

Yashima smiled softly. "It could be interesting. I'd like to see how these games work."

Akitsu gave a small nod. "I will accompany everyone."

Matsu's eyes gleamed behind her lenses. "Magic-based probability and reward systems? I have to study this."

Ruby blinked up at them from her towel. "Can cats even gamble?"

Uzume ruffled her ears. "You can cheer for Tamamo, that's close enough."

Lucy clapped her hands together. "Great! Then it's settled! Meet us at the casino entrance in an hour and dress up for the occasion!"

"We have to dress up?" Issei repeated.

"Of course!" Lucy said, grinning. "This place has a reputation. You can't walk into a luxury casino in swimwear! You've gotta look sharp."

Uzume smirked. "Lucky for us, I did pack a few outfits for fancy occasions."

"You always do," Yuuka teased.

"Because I plan ahead," Uzume replied proudly. "Leave the wardrobe to me, ladies. I'll make sure we turn heads again and in a completely different way this time."

As the last rays of sunlight faded into twilight, the group began to pack up their towels and bags. The sound of laughter and waves trailed behind them as they made their way up the boardwalk toward the glowing lights of the grand resort.

Issei stretched as they walked through the sand, the faint glow of the hotel reflecting in his eyes. "Well, this should be interesting…"

Tamamo smiled, tails curling around her like silk. "Maybe. Let's try to have a good time."

And with that, the group disappeared inside the resort to prepare.

—-------------------------

Casino

By the time the moon rose over the ocean, the Aqua Crown Resort had transformed. The quiet serenity of the beach gave way to a lively energy that pulsed through the air. Music drifted from the open terrace, smooth strings mixed with the rhythmic hum of conversation and laughter.

The grand casino occupied the resort's east wing, and its entrance gleamed like a palace of light. Enchanted crystal chandeliers hung above the crimson carpet, casting a golden glow over the marble floor. The scent of perfume, wine, and a hint of sea salt filled the air.

When the doors opened again, every head near the entrance turned.

Issei's group stepped in together, a stunning sight that made even the seasoned gamblers and noble guests pause mid-sentence.

Issei led them, dressed sharply in a fitted black suit with silver trim and an open collar, a perfect mix of formal and relaxed. His signature watch gleamed faintly on his wrist.

But it was the women at his side who truly stole the show.

Tamamo, ever radiant, wore a flowing midnight-blue gown that shimmered with every step she took, the fabric dusted with silver flecks. Her long hair was pinned elegantly with a jeweled comb, and her golden eyes seemed to glow beneath the soft lights.

Miya followed beside her, her lavender evening dress designed with soft layers. A sheer white shawl draped loosely over her shoulders, adding to her graceful poise.

Uzume, bold as ever, had chosen a deep crimson dress that fit her tall, athletic frame perfectly, a daring slit up one side and gold accessories that caught every bit of light. She smirked at the awed stares from nearby patrons.

Yuuka balanced her usual energy, wearing a sleek sapphire dress that stopped just above the knee, paired with a black choker and silver heels. Her long hair flowed freely, framing her playful smile.

Matsu, ever the intellectual beauty, wore a dark green backless gown with a faint emerald shimmer. She had swapped her glasses for a subtler crystal pair and carried a small purse.

Misuki looked the image of refined sophistication in a black-and-white sleeveless dress, accentuated by pearl jewelry. She carried herself like a CEO walking into a board meeting.

Yashima wore a gentle pastel pink kimono-style gown, her short brown hair tied up with a soft white ribbon..

Akitsu stood out for her simplicity, a snow-white dress with subtle silver embroidery that reflected her calm, serene nature. She moved with quiet grace, eyes curious but calm.

And walking just behind them, trying to keep her composure, was Ruby, dressed in a tiny navy-blue cocktail dress tailored for her small feline form, complete with a ribbon bow around her neck. She looked both adorable and mildly embarrassed.

The effect was instantaneous. Conversations faltered. A few waiters forgot where they were walking. Even the roulette wheel near the entrance slowed, as if the magic itself was distracted.

Lucy and Erza were already waiting by the fountain at the center of the hall, dressed for the night as well — Lucy in a glittering gold dress with a ribbon tied at her waist, and Erza in a refined crimson gown that suited her knightly poise. Both turned — and immediately froze.

"Wow," Lucy breathed. "You guys… really dressed up."

Erza nodded slowly. "That's an understatement."

Uzume grinned, hand on her hip. "What can we say? We make an entrance."

Issei chuckled modestly, scratching the back of his head. "They do all the work — I just try not to look like an idiot next to them.

Tamamo leaned close, whispering teasingly. "You never could look foolish beside us, my darling."

He smiled faintly at her words, earning a soft blush from Misuki, who quickly turned away and adjusted her hair to hide it. "Both of you look pretty great as well." Issei complimented the two ladies and then turned to see Natsu and Gray and saw that they were dressed casually. "Why aren't you two dressed up?"

"Hehehe. We don't really have any formal wear?" Gray says while scratching his head in embarrassment.

"Plus I would never wear a monkey suit," Natsu says while crossing his arms.

Issei sighs at the two free men. "I wish I didn't have to either but Uzume was pretty insistent." The group then headed inside the casino and were met with a feast of sound and motion.

Glittering coins floated through enchanted chutes, cards danced midair between dealers' hands, and colored lights flashed from magical slot machines powered by elemental crystals. Laughter, cheers, and groans of loss filled the grand hall.

Lucy gestured toward the far side. "They really do have everything from roulette, poker, dice. You can bet with jewels or points. Pretty wild, huh?"

Uzume smirked. "Sounds like we're about to make some noise."

Misuki folded her arms, the strategist in her already calculating. "Alright, Tamamo — you're the key to this. We'll play smart, but when it comes to the big bets, you take the lead."

Tamamo chuckled, fluttering her fan. "You make it sound like I can control luck itself."

"Can't you?" Yuuka teased.

Tamamo's eyes glimmered mysteriously. "Perhaps."

As they moved through the casino, heads turned wherever they passed. Some men tried to greet them, others simply stared in awe, and a few brave souls attempted to invite them to tables — only to retreat quickly under Issei's calm but unmistakably protective gaze.

Erza joined them near the roulette wheel, smiling faintly. "You draw attention wherever you go, don't you?"

"Hazard of the job," Issei said with a shrug. "They can't exactly turn it off."

Lucy laughed, motioning to a nearby table. "Come on then, let's put Tamamo's 'good fortune' to the test!"
