Lilith had not been able to attend the Celestial Feast because she had been deep in the void at the time, forcing her breakthrough beneath harsher conditions.
When she returned, Lucien had congratulated her properly.
Or at least, he had thought so.
He had introduced her to Virel and Aniel afterward. His parents had been pleased to meet her.
Then Lucien had introduced her to Seraphine.
That was when something changed.
Eirene and Seraphine became friends naturally.
Vivian got along with Seraphine too. The elemental women had already accepted her in their own strange ways. Even people who had expected awkwardness quickly found that Seraphine was surprisingly easy to settle beside.
Lilith, however, began avoiding her.
