He was the first father Lyeian ever had. The first person who actually cared about him. The first person who made him feel at home.
That was something he could never take away from their story, no matter how much he hated him. And that was probably the reason he found himself in tears.
"He was a good person," Eden said. "A good person who was a victim of fate. A victim of the world. And no matter how hard he tried to be a good person and a good father, those two things didn't seem to want to coexist."
Eden smiled as he stared at Felix. "Do you know the last words he said to me before he left?"
Felix stared at him. "What do you mean...?"
Eden smiled. "He came to me in my dreams. He spent those last lingering moments with me. I didn't understand why he was there. I was in this illusion and didn't understand—until he left."
