On one side loomed a massive, dilapidated temple. The temple was eerie and oppressive, its dark blue marble pillars surrounded by statues of goddesses with wasp heads and human bodies. However, a massive crack, clearly left behind by a battle, cleaved through the structure. On the other side was a vast expanse of open ground, where a colossal robot and a giant monster were engaged in a fierce, fist-to-fist brawl, with a massive horde of foot soldiers throwing themselves forward in succession to serve as background scenery.
Don't ask where the Sword Vigor went. Yamashiro Takuya had made it very clear: using it directly was just too boring, and besides, the ultimate move required charging.
"I've only ever seen this kind of imagery in my dreams!"
"You already said that once just now!"
Miguel and Peter continuously attacked the enemies blocking their path as they charged forward. Sharp elbow blades manifested on Miguel's gauntlets, and his ten fingers transformed into razor-sharp claws as he began to rip through these damnable creatures with pure, unadulterated violence. To him, the enemies before them were fundamentally no different from insects; it was just a matter of fighting continuously.
"I know, but I'm just too excited—can someone please take a picture of this scene for me? This is absolutely one of the most hype tokusatsu scenes ever!"
Peter's combat style was far simpler than Miguel's. Facing a sea of monsters, he already had his own method of handling it. Unleashing Anti-Venom with all his might, he triggered a symbiote outburst. The splattering symbiote tentacles managed to cover a vast area, and by delivering a thorough electrotherapy session with his bio-electricity, he was pretty much able to clear a path.
"Or spider silk! Or grappling hooks—oh, I didn't bring grappling hooks, but it's close enough!"
"Your bio-electricity is much stronger than before."
Miguel, who was ripping the wings off a wasp-spider lackey, noticed this: "Did you undergo some kind of surgery?"
"What? No, I went and learned a bit of kung fu." Peter kicked a wasp-spider lackey right in the jaw, then turned to scan his surroundings. Realizing that their primary opponent had vanished into the swelling swarm, he warned his teammate: "Stay alert, Miguel, the All-Mother has disappeared!"
"I know, and I'm very certain she is right around us, ready to ambush us at any moment!"
Miguel spun around abruptly and swung a powerful punch forward. A massive surge of electrical current roared out, striking the face of the All-Mother, who was concealing herself among the countless wasp-spiders. The intense current sent her flying backward, her entire body cloaked in black smoke.
The All-Mother stared at Miguel in utter disbelief: "How is this possible?! This is Shathra's temple. Her grand power is capable of completely rendering the senses of you spider totems useless."
"Well, you've certainly asked the right person, because I don't possess a Spider-Sense at all."
Miguel spoke with utter disdain as he watched the All-Mother vanish. His methods were entirely technological, so attempting to deal with him using a method that nullified Spider-Sense was nothing short of an absolute pipe dream.
"Wait, where did your electrical current come from?"
"I made some upgrades to my suit, because I found that discharging electricity is quite convenient, though looking at it now, the output is still insufficient." Miguel plunged back into the enemy's nest while maintaining his vigilance: "My claws contain a paralyzing toxin. By all accounts, the opponent's mobility should have been severely impaired, but clearly it isn't. Be careful, Spider-Man, that creature's next target is definitely you."
"...Different Spider-Men really do possess completely different abilities. To think you even have something like a paralyzing toxin."
Peter, however, wasn't worried about the opponent in the slightest. He had already acquired a brand-new power, and it was far more exaggerated than what the Mountain Spider had described—the Mountain Spider and the previous Immortal Weapons utilized "Chi" as their power, using it to perceive and respond to enemies. Peter could naturally achieve this as well, but Chi was the life energy of the human body.
Was his bio-electricity not his own life energy?
Thus, after Peter obtained the immortal power, he discovered that he could convert his Chi into bio-electricity, and he could also cause his bio-electricity to diffuse slightly into the air like Chi to perceive his surroundings, thereby detecting information about his environment. Consequently, when the Wasp-Spider All-Mother emerged from his blind spot, believing she could strike him, Anti-Venom instantly transformed into a massive pincer that extended from behind, tightly gripping the All-Mother's lower body.
Then, Peter unleashed his most formidable power.
Space was torn asunder.
In that split second, the Wasp-Spider All-Mother let out a terrified shriek. Her massive, insect-like lower body was ripped apart, exploding with a dense torrent of fluid. Yet, the opponent actually managed to fly straight out as if nothing had happened, raising a soul-searching question: "Why are you completely unaffected as well?!"
"Perhaps you should consider switching to a different deity to worship. Shathra might not be very effective, my friend."
The Wasp-Spider All-Mother fell into a state of panic, yet she was at a loss for what to do. She suddenly thought of her massive wasp-spider monster; as long as it successfully defeated its foe, it would surely come to reinforce her...
"Sword Vigor!"
With the Sword Vigor fully charged, Leopardon brandished its exclusive weapon, cleaving the giant monster composed of countless wasp-spiders into absolute pieces with a single stroke. Witnessing this scene, the Wasp-Spider All-Mother went somewhat numb, but then, a smile surfaced on her face.
"No, I still have one final move. The countless magical spiders possessed by those countless Sorcerers Supreme... as long as I use them as sacrifices to offer to the great Shathra, you spider totems..."
"Sorry, are you referring to these things?"
Gwen's sudden voice interrupted the Wasp-Spider All-Mother, who was now missing her lower body. She held a web bundle wrapped in spider silk containing about a dozen magical spiders of various sizes, looking up at the airborne All-Mother with considerable disgust: "Sorry... but your current state is honestly a bit too disgusting for me."
The Wasp-Spider All-Mother fell silent, after which she scanned her surroundings in confusion. She had absolutely no recollection of ever seeing this female spider totem before.
"When did you get here? How did you sneak into the temple? How did you manage to retrieve the sacrifices under watch without anyone sounding the alarm?!"
"You have a lot of questions." Gwen rolled her eyes (though no one could see it): "I just walked right in and carried them all out. It was very simple."
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
Miguel turned his head to ask Peter: "Did you know she came over? I recall you turned her down."
"If Gwen utilizes her ability, we will all forget her existence, so how could we know she came over? But she actually managed to pull it off..."
"Just like I said," Miguel spoke while ripping off the wing of a foot soldier, "you've been protecting them far too well."
