Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: A Fight in Mysty City

A loud clack-clack-clack! of wooden swords echoed through the training ground behind Luke's house.

Sweat dripped from Luke's brow, each breath more ragged than the last. His knees shook. His arms trembled. Across from him, Maya stood still, poised like a predator, barely winded.

Maya (dead serious):

"Focus, Luke. You're slowing down."

Luke (gasping for air):

"We've been training for eight hours... I think I'm dying..."

Maya (unrelenting):

"Pain is temporary. Weakness is permanent. Push harder, You must increase your stamina."

Luke:

"I don't think this is increasing anything! I think my stamina's filing a resignation letter!"

He collapsed onto his knees, face pale and eyes glassy. Then, as if summoned by the gods, a gentle voice broke through the haze.

Eve (cheerfully holding snacks):

"Okay, you two, take a break. I made snacks!"

Luke (angelic choir singing behind him):

"THANK YOU, AUNT EVE!!"

He reached for the food like a dying man crawling toward salvation. He didn't get far.

Five seconds later, Maya grabbed him by the collar and dragged him back onto the training ground like a corpse that owed her rent.

Maya:

"Break time's over."

Luke (in despair and voice trembling):

"Please, Aunt Maya... just kill me."

Maya (grinning):

"That is possible. But you're too handsome to die, hehe."

Luke (blushing violently):

"STOP TEASING ME!"

Maya (laughing):

"That's the spirit! Harness your anger and strike it at your foe!"

Eve (watching with a deadpan glare):

"Luke, don't listen to her. Anger has no place in battle."

Maya (turning):

"Excuse me?! That's the only emotion for battle. What are we supposed to do, sing while slaughtering?!"

Eve (without hesitation):

"YES."

Maya:

"You savage little witch."

Tension crackled in the air like dry wood over fire. Luke could feel it.

In full survival mode, he began inching backward like a crab, tiptoeing toward the kitchen.

Just as he slipped inside and grabbed popcorn, the duel exploded behind him like the final episode of a high-budget anime.

Luke (wide-eyed):

"...I knew it. They're not sisters. They're just rival bosses in disguise."

Maya drew her bow and fired a glowing mana-charged arrow. Eve snapped her fingers and summoned razor-sharp roots from the ground.

The two attacks collided midair in a BOOM of light and sound.

From the blinding flash, a man emerged-Zacky, glowing barrier in hand, face locked in dad-mode fury.

Zacky (yelling):

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO!?"

The explosion was sealed. The lawn, however, now had a crater the size of a horse cart.

Luke (munching popcorn):

"Now this... is absolute cinema."

Maya and Eve were dragged back inside like naughty kids by Zacky's barrier magic. Neither made eye contact.

Eve (walking to the door):

"Hmph."

Maya (blocked at the same door):

"...Fine."

She punched a hole in the wall beside the door and strutted through it with zero guilt.

Rhody (offscreen, screaming):

"MY PRECIOUS WALL!!!"

Zacky turned purple with rage.

Zacky:

"MICHIE! RHODY! PERFORM THE RITUAL!"

Within seconds, gravity magic engulfed Maya and Eve, sucking them back into the house like cats in a vacuum tube.

Maya (yelling as she's dragged):

"YOU'LL NEVER SILENCE ME!!"

Eve:

"I REGRET NOTHING!!"

They vanished behind the hallway corner.

As calm returned (barely), the TV suddenly buzzed with breaking news. Everyone turned to look.

> "BREAKING: Authorities confirm 123 victims dead in Mysty City. All... had their testicles removed."

Luke (mouth full of food):

"Whoever did this... is really good at seduction."

> "The demon responsible has been identified: a succubus."

The room froze.

The three bishops-Zacky, Rhody, and Michie-stood nearby, processing what they just heard.

Michie (grim):

"...Guys. We're gonna lose our virginity if we want to catch her."

Rhody (half smiling):

"At least we'll earn a million gold coins."

Zacky (horrified):

"Facing a succubus doesn't mean we're losing our virginity, you douchebags!"

Maya (snorting):

"Zacky, you want to see that succubus, don't you?"

Eve:

"He's thirsty. Confirmed. VIRGIN!"

Maya and Eve burst into laughter for the first time in days. Even Luke smiled.

Luke:

"Hey, uncles... can I come?"

Zacky (about to say yes):

"Sur-"

Maya and Eve slowly turned their heads... eyes glowing, faces demonic.

Zacky (gulping):

"...No. You can't come."

Later that night...

The moon cast a pale glow over Mysty City.

Ten elite hunters, dressed in black armor enchanted with resistance runes, crept along the rooftops on the city's western edge. They were guided by the bishops' tracking spell, a sigil glowing faintly on each of their hands.

In the heart of a run-down motel, Diana-the succubus-lounged in a velvet chair, legs crossed, eyes gleaming crimson.

A shirtless man stood before her, clearly entranced.

Diana (purring):

"Tell me, darling... do you believe in love?"

The man nodded, completely bewitched.

She smiled sweetly-then slashed his soul and severed something else with one swift, merciless motion.

Diana (coldly):

"Wrong answer."

Suddenly, the hunters burst through the windows, blades and chains ready. The room exploded into chaos.

Diana evaded their attacks with graceful twirls and demonic speed, her wings fluttering in shadowy arcs. She kicked one hunter out the window, flung another against the ceiling, and dodged every magic bolt hurled her way.

She dove for the exit-only to slam into a glowing wall.

A barrier. Sealed tight.

Diana (snarling):

"...Tch. You dare trap me?"

From above, a spotlight of holy energy descended.

The three bishops hovered midair, cloaked in divine robes. Zacky raised his hand, staff glowing like the sun.

Zacky (serious):

"Begin the battle. Do not let her touch you."

Rhody:

"And protect your nuts."

Michie (chanting):

"Light of judgment, descend upon her corrupted soul! And protect our balls."

Diana laughed-a deep, seductive sound that chilled the spine.

Diana (mocking):

"Three virgins, ten lapdogs, and a holy light show. Is this all the church can offer?"

She flexed her claws.

The air grew thick with dark magic.

Zacky (quietly):

"...This won't be easy."

The battlefield glowed with magic circles, enchantments, and shadows twisting in the moonlight.

Round one had begun.

And the price of failure... was more than just death.

Far to the south, in the heart of Mysty City, a modest motel stood beneath a shimmering dome of golden light. The structure, once a haven for weary travelers, now lay in ruins-demolished and nearly reduced to dust. The cause? A fierce confrontation: ten seasoned hunters and three bishops pitted against a single, formidable adversary.

From the sky, the succubus Diana descended with lethal grace. Her claws extended as she dove, striking one of the hunters with devastating force. The three bishops hovered above, utilizing their ability to fly, attempting to corner her. Yet, Diana's speed was unparalleled; she effortlessly evaded their coordinated attacks.

With a predatory smile, Diana turned her attention to the injured hunter she had just struck. Her voice dripped with seductive charm. "Hello there, handsome meat," she purred, attempting to ensnare his mind and bend his will to her own.

She approached him, her voice soothing, almost hypnotic. "Come, and be my bodyguard," she whispered, her eyes locking onto his.

The injured hunter, though dazed, managed to respond with a firm, "Nah-ah," his expression a mix of confusion and resistance.

Diana's eyes widened in surprise. "What?" she exclaimed, clearly taken aback by his rejection.

Undeterred, she grabbed the hunter by his collar, lifting him effortlessly off the ground. Her face inched closer to his, her tongue teasingly brushing her lips. "Don't try to resist. Let your desires run free," she coaxed.

The hunter's face contorted in disgust as he struggled to break free. But Diana, relentless in her pursuit, did the unthinkable-her hand moved to his crotch, rubbing it gently in a final attempt to sway him.

From the sidelines, the hunter leader couldn't help but chuckle. "Hang on there, ma'am!" he called out.

Diana's expression shifted to one of confusion. "What do you mean, 'ma'am'?" she asked, genuinely perplexed.

The leader grinned. "You picked the wrong guy. That one's gay."

Realization dawned on Diana, and her confusion turned to fury. She raised her hand, ready to strike down the hunter in a fit of rage. But before she could act, Zacky intervened, delivering a powerful punch to her face. The impact sent Diana hurtling to the edge of the dome.

The hunter leader's eyes widened in astonishment. "Wow, I didn't know bishops could pack such a punch!"

The remaining hunters seized the opportunity, pursuing Diana with renewed vigor. They attempted to pin her down, using lightning-based attacks to immobilize her. However, Diana proved to be a formidable opponent, breaking free and incapacitating five hunters in quick succession. Only four remained, turning the tide to a precarious 7 vs. 1.

Back at the house, Maya and Eve sensed the overwhelming surge of dark mana emanating from the dome. A sense of unease settled over them. Suddenly, Eve's phone rang, breaking the tension. She answered, and Rhody's voice came through, accompanied by the sounds of explosions in the background.

"The situation here is far worse than we anticipated," Rhody reported. "We need your strength immediately."

Eve's face turned grave. "We're on our way. Hold the line until we arrive."

Maya glanced at Luke, concern etched on her face. "Where should we hide Luke?" she asked Eve.

Luke, confused, interjected, "Hide me? Why?"

Eve pondered for a moment. "There's a hidden chamber in the basement. It's the safest place in the house."

Both women agreed on the plan. Maya, wasting no time, picked up Luke, who protested, "Why do I have to be hidden? No one's trying to kill me!"

As they descended into the basement, Luke was surprised to discover a concealed door. "I can't stay in here all night!" he exclaimed.

Eve noticed the chamber was filled with thick, flowing mana. "This place seems to generate mana on its own," she observed, though she chose to disregard the phenomenon for now.

Maya secured the chamber, locking it with all her strength. Luke shouted after them, "Hey! Don't ever forget me down here!"

Eve summoned a massive plant, using it to transport both herself and Maya swiftly to the battlefield.

Meanwhile, inside the chamber, Luke turned on the lights and discovered a statue the same size as Luke, at its center-a silver-armored soldier with wings. As he reached out to touch it, a blinding white light enveloped him. When the light faded, he found himself in a dark, unfamiliar place.

Standing up, Luke noticed multiple golden chains wrapping tightly around a towering wall. An unnatural stillness hung in the air. He reached out and touched the surface-the wall groaned, then slowly sank downward with a heavy rumble, revealing a shadowy being with six wings. Clad in black and purple knight-like armor, the entity sat proudly upon an ancient throne, its wings cruelly pinned and bound by countless golden chains.

The air grew cold. The figure's head moved with eerie slowness. Then, through the narrow slit of its knightly helmet, its gaze found Luke-and in an instant, its eyes flared to life, glowing violently with a deep, unnatural purple as they locked onto him.

"BOY!" the being called out, its voice resonating through the chamber.

Back at the motel in Mysty City, Maya and Eve arrived, entering the dome with determination. Their muscle memory kicked in as they assessed the chaotic battlefield. The hunters inside were severely wounded, having called for backup from the guild and the army. The succubus Diana was proving to be an extremely dangerous adversary.

Despite the dire situation, the three bishops and the two powerful allies, Maya and Eve, managed to weaken Diana. Maya unleashed a volley of arrows, most of which missed, but one, empowered with compressed mana, struck Diana's left leg. Eve followed up with a flesh-eating plant attack, but Diana blocked it with her wings. The damage inflicted was minimal.

Recognizing the need for a more potent strategy, the three bishops gathered to perform a ritual that would enhance Maya and Eve's abilities, granting them flight. Sensing the impending threat, Diana attempted to interrupt the ritual. However, Eve erected a wall of roots to shield the process. Diana sliced through one of the roots, but it regenerated swiftly. Maya seized the opportunity, releasing a thousand arrows that struck Diana multiple times.

Enraged and critically wounded, Diana pulled out a demon crystal. Eve, alarmed, shouted to Maya, "Quickly, Maya, hit the crystal before she can use it!"

With precision, Maya fired an arrow that shattered the crystal. Dark mana seeped out, but before it could dissipate, Diana consumed a portion of it. She began to transform, taking on her true demonic form-long horns, a tall tail, wings with sharp tips, and elongated claws.

Michie observed grimly, "She sacrificed her beauty for power."

In this formidable form, Maya and Eve's chances of victory diminished. Zacky, the only bishop adept at hand-to-hand combat and wielding potent light mana, stepped forward with determination.

"Michie, Rhody, perform the paladin ritual. I'll end this once and for all," he commanded.

Michie and Rhody initiated the casting circle, a flash of light enveloping Zacky, imbuing him with immense strength and speed. Simultaneously, Maya and Eve prepared devastating projectiles-arrows coated in nature mana capable of annihilating millions in a single strike.

As Zacky launched himself at Diana, she attempted to block his attacks but struggled under his relentless assault. He landed a powerful blow to her chest, followed by a series of punches. Diana retaliated, her sharp claws aiming for Zacky, but he dodged with agility. However, she managed to wound his right arm, gaining a temporary advantage.

Seizing the moment, Diana attempted to deliver a fatal stab, but Maya and Eve's projectiles were ready. Zacky shouted, "NOW!" Maya, with all her strength, released five arrows that struck Diana's back, severing all her limbs except her head. Diana collapsed, but to everyone's horror, she laughed and regenerated her limbs, her injuries vanishing.

Zacky then launched himself at Diana, she attempted to block his attacks but struggled under his relentless assault. He landed a powerful blow to her chest, followed by a series of punches. Diana retaliated, her sharp claws aiming for Zacky, but he dodged with agility. However, she managed to wound his right arm, gaining a temporary advantage.

Zacky gritted his teeth as blood trickled down his arm. Pain flared, but he didn't falter. Instead, he used it-feeding off the adrenaline, letting it sharpen his senses. With a quick spin, he ducked under her next swipe and drove his elbow into her ribs, knocking the air from her lungs.

Diana hissed in pain, her wings flaring out as she leapt backward to regain distance. But Zacky didn't give her time to breathe. He charged again, this time sliding low across the ground, sweeping her legs out from under her. She fell hard, but as Zacky raised his fist to strike, her tail whipped around, catching him across the face and sending him tumbling to the side.

Before she could recover, Zacky pivoted and delivered a brutal roundhouse kick to her jaw, sending her skidding across the dirt. She crashed through a tree trunk, splinters flying in all directions. Yet even then, she rose, snarling, with blood trickling from her mouth.

"You're stronger than before," she growled, licking the blood from her lips.

Michie and Rhody, pouring every ounce of their strength into the casting circle, kept channeling mana into Zacky. The air around them shimmered with raw energy, but Rhody staggered, breath ragged, sweat dripping from his chin.

"I'm... almost out of strength," he panted, collapsing to one knee. "I can't go any further..."

Michie gritted his teeth and shouted, his voice cracking with urgency, "Zacky! We can't keep feeding you mana! You're on your own for now!"

Zacky, hearing their cries, clenched his fists as energy crackled around him. He grinned through the dust and chaos.

"That's alright," he said calmly. "I've got enough left for one final blow."

Realizing she couldn't defeat Zacky, Diana took to the skies, emitting an eerie scream. Zacky struck her again, knocking her back. As she tried to evade him, reinforcements from the guild and the army arrived, armed with mana-powered swords, magical staffs, and enchanted guns.

With no escape, Diana was bombarded by a barrage of projectiles. Eve and Maya's attacks severed her limbs once more, while fireballs and bullets rained down upon her. Finally, Zacky delivered a decisive punch, bringing Diana down for good.

As she lay dying, Diana whispered ominously, "Ha, ha, ha... this isn't the end. My kind will destroy your world."

The three bishops stood in shock, realizing that more demons as powerful as Diana awaited them in the future.

The battle concluded with a hard-earned victory. The guild hunters and adventurers celebrated alongside the army, having vanquished a demon nearly as powerful as a demon lord.

Back at the house, Luke faced the terrifying being with glowing purple eyes, its gaze piercing into his very soul.

Then everything turned black and silent. A deep, echoing voice slowly whispered,

'Your journey begins now... boy.'"
