The night was as dark as the depths of the ocean due to the moon been hidden behind the clouds. The air was heavy and was filled with the smell of blood and a ghoulish scream. As Aethon stared at the ENTITY, the only thing that filled his mind was rage and hate. He wanted to make this creature infront of him suffer. He wanted to release a the anger and helplessness that had piled up within him out.
He blinked once and then again. The moment his eyelids closed and opened again for a third time, the world around him had changed completely.
As Aethon stared forward, he saw a huge mansion infront of him. To his left there was an open field and to his right there was a huge old oak tree. As Aethon stared, he couldn't remember what he was doing. He lifted both his arms up and placed his hands infront of his face, staring at them intensely. As he did this, he heard a voice behind him. It was muffled and unclear at first, but gradually grew louder and much more clear.
Ae.. Aet... Aethon. " screamed out a voice from behind him. Has he turned around to see who it was, a tall figure started approaching him. Has he got about 2 steps away from Aethon, he stretched out his left hand which was holding a sword and told Aethon, :"Come on, stop slacking off, you are good with using ice and fire magic but you also need to work on your swordsmanship."
Has the figure infront of Aethon spoke, his image became more clearer. He had blue eyes, same as Aethon, and his hair was also a silver color. The only difference was their height. Has Aethon stared at the boy infront of him, he slowly began to realise who it was. It was his older brother, Kaelith. As Kaelith stared at Aethon, he spoke in a loud voice while screaming, :"Hello?! Is anyone home. Come on stop spacing out." As Kaelith said this, he took the sword that he was giving Aethon to take and hit him in the stomach with it as Aethon was spacing out.
Kaelith then started walking past Aethon who was on the ground on all four and burying his head in the ground. He then got up, turned around and said to Kaelith in a loud voice, :"What the hell was that... For?" As the words came out of Aethons mouth he felt confused, as if he had lived this day before. For some reason he felt weird but couldn't explain it. Has he froze up, Kaelith stared at him and hit his face with water magic, and followed it up by saying come on whilst turning around to walk away.
The 2 of them made their way to the training grounds where Kaelith was teaching Aethon how to fight with weapons by infusing mana into it.
"First of all infusing mana into both your weapons and body is a good thing, it's also bad as if you don't have battle experience, you will not know how to conserve your energy as this is important. While yes you can train and train, something you can only earn by experiencing it is... Well, experience."
As Kaelith turned his back to Aethon after saying this, Aethon got up and sighed. He then followed it by saying, :" Come on, I know this, they teach us this in our classes. Conserve energy, also remember to keep a calm head if your ever in a fight as your mental state can affect how you use the elements blah, blah, blah. Look don't get me wrong, I'm not been arrogant, but can we atleast begin this training you want to teach me instead of repeating what my teachers tell me."
After saying that Kaelith sighed, drew his sword out from his sheat and told Aethon to walk 15 steps away from him.
The training hall was quiet. Then a clank sound was made, as if two pieces of metal were smashing into each other. Then again, and again.
The 2 brothers were bearing their fangs at each other. As Aethon crossed his sword with his brothers, he couldn't help but feel something was wrong, it was like an itch at the back of his head that he couldn't find, he knew it was behind his head, but didn't know were it was.
As Aethon continued to cross strikes with his brother, the feeling kept on getting heavier and heavier. Until at one moment when he looked at his brother's eyes, he saw they were like a dead fish's eyes. Has he noticed this his face changed from confusion to fear.
He jumped back, bewildered. Then he had remembered, his brother was dead. While he was lost in thought, his brother lunged forward and clashed his sword against Aethons who had noticed his brother had a red crimson mist surrounding his body. Has Aethon realized this, he also remembered he was fighting the ENTITY.
Just has he remembered this, he blinked. As he opened his eyes, he saw that his brother was no longer infront of him, instead it was a creature from the depths of hell. The ENTITY. At seeing the creature, Aethon jumped back and had a look of confusion on his face. He wondered to himself how did the scenery just change? where is he? What happened to the ENTITY he was fighting? Did he win? Has these thoughts raced through his head, he felt a heavy force hit him from the back and it sent him smashing into the ground.
As he picked himself up, he realized he didn't feel any pain. Has he lifted his head up and stared at the ENTITY while this thought floated in his head, something grabbed his ankle. Has he turned around his vision was met by a girl. Her arm was covered in blood, she had a hole in her stomach and she was missing her eyes. Behind her more disfigured people began to emerge. He had realized they were the people from the Market Square from RIVIRIA. Has he saw them, he kicked the girls hand off his ankle with his other leg and got up. Has he faced them he started walking backwards slowly whilst staring at there horrid and disfigured bodies. The girl that was holding his ankle started to speak.
"come... Play... With... Meeee...pleaassee."
This was followed by a man behind her who was missing his right arm and abit of his right side torso.
"could you have done something, anything?"
Has Aethon was hearing all of this, he thought to himself what are they talking about? How would I had been able to know this was going to happen to them. If anything, it's there fault. No one told them to live in a town were illegal activities are controlled. They knew the risk.
As these thoughts loaded his head, a voice came from behind. "Are you sure. Deep down you wish you were able to do something right? Or am I wrong?"
As Aethon turned around, he saw his brother, but this time his eyes were a crimson red color, his hair was black and he had horns protruding out his forehead.
"Where the hell am I!!" Screamed Aethon.
His brother softly chuckled and asked him a simple question. "Do you not know your own mind, but well...i guess it is abit chaotic in here."
Has his brother said this, Aethon looked around and was perplexed.
His brother continued to speak.
"Ahh let me guess. How? Why? Well you see when you were fighting the entity you were filled with rage and an enormous amount of mana. Your will of hatred towards the creature, birthed me. I am your hate. Ohh and don't worry, your body is fine, in fact while it might feel like you've been here for a long time, in the real world it's only been about 2 minutes.".
Has his brother was about to continue speaking, Aethon felt a tight pain across his chest and fell to the ground screaming.
Has he was screaming his brother released blood threads that swarmed around Aethon and wrapped themselves around his chest.
The pain around Aethon began to slowly fade away. Has he picked himself up, his brother said in a low and soft voice as the horns that were on his forehead were slowly disappearing and his hair was going back to its silver color, :"hopefully next time we can have a long and proper conversation." Has Aethon heard those words he blinked and the scenery around him changed once more.
Instead of there been dead, disfigured people behind him and his brother infront of him, he saw a ceiling infront of him and he was lying down ontop of a bed. He was in a room. When he moved his head to look around he saw a sigil on a dressing table to his left. It was his. It was his room. Has he was staring at the dressing table the door slowly began to open as a figure entered the room.
