"How was your day? You seem very excited today."
Natalia asked as Arthur finished fastening his seatbelt. Her eyes narrowed slightly, in curiosity, as she took in the unusual brightness in his expression. Arthur almost always looked happy when he was around her, it was one of the things she had quietly grown used to...but today there was something different. His eyes didn't just reflect happiness, they gleamed, almost glowing, like he was holding onto a secret he didn't quite know how to hide.
That alone was enough to make her curious.
And...happy too.
Him being this smiley just did something to her...
"N-nothing special," Arthur replied quickly.
The smile stretching across his face betrayed him instantly though. It was far too wide, far too uncontrollable. As if realizing that, he lowered his head slightly, trying to hide it, though it only made it more obvious.
