"I've already come to an agreement with the one inside you. From now on, you'll be able to draw on its power—and use it to sense malice."
Back in the real world, Uchiha Fugaku looked toward Naruto Uzumaki as he spoke.
"I need you to use that ability to find the White Zetsu impostors disguised among the Fire Country's government officials."
"You've already come to an agreement?"
Naruto didn't seem too surprised that the Nine-Tails had been subdued, but Jiraiya—and especially Fukasaku—were visibly shaken.
After all, the Nine-Tails was the most powerful and unruly of all tailed beasts. Yet, in only a short span of time, the Fifth Hokage had already managed to tame it.
Even knowing Fugaku's immense strength, the two couldn't help but be deeply astonished.
"Finding disguised White Zetsu around the Fire Country's officials... Uncle, what kind of mission is that?" Naruto asked excitedly.
Because of the Nine-Tails sealed inside him, he rarely got permission for missions outside the village. So just hearing there was one made him light up.
"It's an S-Rank mission—the highest level. A mission of great importance. Don't disappoint me." Fugaku said in a deliberately serious tone.
"An S-Rank mission?!"
Naruto's excitement spiked. He was finally getting an S-Rank mission!
That arrogant Sasuke definitely hadn't received one yet—he'd be the first between them to complete an S-Rank mission.
Thinking that, Naruto clenched his fists and grinned. "Don't worry, Uncle! I'll definitely get it done!"
"I believe you will," Fugaku nodded, then turned toward Jiraiya.
"Lord Jiraiya, although I've subdued the Nine-Tails, I'd still like you to accompany Naruto—just in case."
"Understood."
Jiraiya, who was already worried, immediately agreed.
An hour later, Jiraiya and Naruto left the village, heading out across the Land of Fire.
A day later, reports came in—multiple disguised White Zetsu had been discovered and eliminated.
The Nine-Tails' ability to sense malice was the perfect counter to Zetsu's transformation technique.
Once Naruto had learned to harness it, White Zetsu could no longer hide.
"Good. Looks like they're cooperating after all."
Hearing the reports, Fugaku nodded with satisfaction.
Naruto's ability to sense malice could only mean the Nine-Tails was working with him. It seemed that earlier intimidation had worked perfectly.
Little did he know, when he appeared inside the Nine-Tails' sealed space, the beast had been utterly terrified—so much that it wouldn't dare to resist.
"Although Akatsuki's core members are gone, the remaining White Zetsu still pose a serious threat. We must locate their new base and wipe them out completely."
Fugaku issued the order to the thousands of spore clones scattered across the ninja world—search for the White Zetsu base.
More than a month passed.
Vwoom—
Inside the Hokage's office, a dark vortex appeared. From it stepped the Second Spore Clone.
His right eye had been transplanted with Obito Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan, granting him access to Kamui. His left eye had a regular three-tomoe Sharingan, used as a disposable eye for Izanagi.
"What is it?" Fugaku asked, glancing at the clone.
"We've located the current White Zetsu base."
The clone's tone was calm.
The base was extremely well-hidden—even the combined intelligence of the Five Great Villages hadn't been able to uncover it.
But against Fugaku's vast network of spore clones spread throughout the world, it couldn't stay hidden forever.
"Excellent. This time, we'll wipe them out for good."
Fugaku rose from his chair.
Last time, he had prioritized Nagato, letting too many White Zetsu escape.
This time, none would.
An hour later, in the Land of Hot Springs—
Vwoom—
A swirling black vortex appeared, and four figures emerged: Uchiha Fugaku and his three Spore Clones.
Destroying the base wasn't difficult—making sure not a single White Zetsu escaped was.
Fugaku took no chances; he personally led the operation.
"The White Zetsu base is inside that mountain," said the Second Clone, pointing to a massive, rocky hill.
"Byakugan Vision."
Fugaku's Rinnegan activated, his gaze piercing through solid stone.
Inside, the mountain was hollowed out like an ant colony—hundreds of tunnels teeming with White Zetsu.
"Tenseigan Chakra Mode."
Locking onto every single signature, Fugaku's body became shrouded in emerald light. Nine black orbs—Truth-Seeking Balls—floated behind him as he rose into the air.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Six of the orbs turned into black rods, embedding themselves around the mountain in a hexagonal formation.
"Six Crimson Flame Formation!"
Shuoom—
Walls of red fire erupted between the rods, forming a massive six-sided barrier that enclosed the mountain—above and deep below ground.
"Enemy attack!"
The sudden tremor alarmed the White Zetsu inside.
Panicked, they tried to flee underground using their Earth Flow Technique—but the barrier extended below the surface, blocking every escape route.
"Ah! It burns—!"
Those who tried to force their way through were consumed by flames, turning to ash in seconds.
The Six Crimson Flame Formation was a barrier on the Sage level—far beyond what the Zetsu could break. Even the Ten-Tails itself would struggle to escape.
"Go. Leave none alive."
Fugaku commanded.
The barrier opened a path, and his three Spore Clones stepped inside.
White Zetsu swarmed toward the opening—
"Amaterasu."
The First Clone's Mangekyō eyes spun, black flames igniting across the horde. Screams filled the air as the creatures burned to ash.
"Shinra Tensei."
The Third Clone unleashed a surge of repulsive force. The oncoming wave of Zetsu twisted and shattered under the invisible blast.
"The outside is yours. I'll take the inside."
The Second Clone activated Kamui's intangibility, slipping through the mountain's surface into its hollow interior.
Twin blades of ice formed in his hands.
Slash—
Every time he passed a White Zetsu, his body rematerialized just long enough to slit its throat. Not a single one could touch him.
By the time he was done, the tunnels were littered with corpses.
An hour later, the slaughter was complete.
Outside, the fires of Amaterasu still burned among twisted bodies.
"Is it over?"
Fugaku entered the barrier and scanned the area with his Rinnegan.
"There are still a few left."
His eyes pierced through rock and soil—spotting the last hidden survivors.
Thud, thud, thud!
Three Truth-Seeking Balls shot out, drilling through the ground and annihilating the remaining White Zetsu, their bodies disintegrating to dust.
"Now it's over."
Confirming none were left alive, Fugaku dispelled the barrier, recalled his orbs, and released his chakra mode.
He glanced over the battlefield, frowning slightly.
The corpses were useless to him now, yet leaving them out in the open didn't sit right either.
"Banshō Ten'in."
He used gravitational pull to stir the earth, covering the bodies beneath layers of soil.
Then—
Vwoom—
A black vortex opened. Fugaku and his three clones stepped inside, vanishing without a trace.
