Kim opened his eyes. He was tied up on a bed. His upper body naked. Cloe was seated besides.
"It's been a while since we last had a one on one, hasn't it?" She said. "The last one, you really enjoyed your self. I want another one, right now!"
She had a cup of wine in her hands.
"I fed you blue dough, this wine will clear the effects, am waiting in the arena, hand to hand combat!" She poured the wine into him mouth and untied one of his hands. She went out.
Kim slowly untied his other hand. He stood up, shook his head and performed a few stretches. He knew he was cooked. He had a few principles, and one of them was to not hit Cloe, and she knew it. The other principle was not to shy away from a fight even if he was certain he'll lose.
He put on his shirt, he was gonna just dodge, as he didn't want to to fight back. The battle started smoothly, with Cloe attacking angrily, and Kim dodging, after a few minutes, Cloe realised his plan.
" You are not fighting back. What do you take me for?" She asked. She then started crackling with lightning around her fists, he still continued dodging, which then infuriated her even more. She increased her speed and attacked rapidly, prompting him to even dodge faster.
Cloe then paused in her attacks. She stared at him.
" I will kill you if you don't fight back! " She said." If you remain like that, I'll use my weapon! "
Kim also paused, he cast a firefly spell, a firefly flew around him. Cloe attacked again, she cast fireballs, he began dodging and moving closer to her, she also was inching closer.
When they were in arm distance, Cloe threw a punch at him, he ducked and was behind her, he threw the firefly towards her back. At that very moment, Cloe was flipping over to create distance, so her butt was level with her back, Kim's firefly hit her squarely on the butt. It was a slight burn, but embarrassing, Kim laughed at himself, he knew that was his end. He turned around to run.
"You are dead for sure, I am going to kill you!" She said. She was now really annoyed, and embarrassed.
Kim released his strongest barrier and summoned Iron, he had a special talisman for that.
Cloe had cast a very strong lightning bolt, mixed with fire, she wanted to atleast teach him a good lesson. He was ready to defend, the clash of the defensive and offensive spells caused a minor explosion. And smoke, Kim used that as a chance to close the gap between the two of them, she threw a punch, which he dodged and got behind her, he hugged her and held her tightly.
"I was wrong!" He said, directly into her ears. "I won't leave you behind again!"
She struggled to get free, but he had held both her hands.
"Let me go!" She said. "Let's finish it!"
"No, let's first finish the mission, we'll finish this after, when we are free!" He said. "I want to have a good duel with you too, but the responsibility of the mission is heavy, please understand!"
"Stop bullshitting me, I know you more than that!" She said.
"Yeah, you do, but as you know, I fought a demon throughout the night, I haven't even rested enough, don't you see that it's a little too hard on me to fight my strongest and best friend, who knows all my secrets?" He asked.
Cloe sighed. "Give me a date then, this is not going to end like this!"
"In a few weeks, or a month probably, because we are to have a few raids on demons beginning tomorrow! He said.
He felt her calm down." I am letting you go, please, let's finish this another time! "
" Ok, I'll let you rest, and after the raids, we are to have an all out duel!" She said. Kim felt goosebumps, he let her go and pushed her away, and ran.
The fighting grounds were so enclosed, no windows, one door, and they were sound proof, with only one way of getting out. So he made for the exit, with all his might. But she still caught up, she had an acceleration spell, she kicked him on the shin of his leg. He fell, she sat there laughing.
"You thought you could just leave this place without me taking advantage of you? Dream on!" She said. She was laughing, watching him hold his leg and writhing in pain.
Kim looked up and smiled. He was indeed annoyed, but he couldn't retaliate, all because this girl was his weakness, he couldn't bear to see her in pain. And she knew it. That's why she could tease him all the way she wanted. This angered him but he had to swallow it. Cloe saw his face, it was in agony, she could see it as much as he tried to hide it, she had angered him. She cast a pain relief spell on him, she smiled at his face and gave him a light peck on the cheek, she whispered into his ears an apology and hugged him.
"That's no way near enough!" He said.
"It's more than enough." She replied a bit harshly. "Unless you want a duel with me, which you don't want, do you?"
He stood and left, she followed him closely behind, Iron approached them. He was in the Hunter's Guild black costume. The black costume was not public, and very few could recognize it. Because it was the highest order of the warriors. And they were less than ten in the entire Kingdom.
Iron was the youngest and the emerging genius among them, he was around twenty, about the same age as Kim and the others. He had sworn fealty to Kim because Kim had won against him in the ways of the Warriors. Just pure combat and sword fight. It's worth noting that Iron had won against all warriors who had stood out among the others.
Unlike Warrior Hunters, the Ghost Hunters were all-rounders, they were warriors, magicians, and elementalists.
Iron had the affinity for darkness, but no one could teach him, and it was dangerous having such power, so his family enlisted him into Warrior class. They had promised they would get him a teacher if he excelled in fights. He had excelled so his parents had gone on a voyage to find a teacher for him. He was awaiting their return. Unlike other warriors, Iron could cast spells, and darkness type spells were amplified by his ability, for a reason very few people knew about.
Ghost Commander, the King, and Kim's team were the only parties who knew about Iron's darkness affinity.
Kim turned to Cloe.
"We've got a hunt tonight, get some rest. We may go over night, inform the others too to get ready!" He said.
"Okay, let me take my leave!" She said and walked away.
"I rescued his family, but they are all ill. They were poisoned, with the black seed. It seems the demon base has been there for a very long time, they have a fortified Castle!" Iron said.
"So it'll take some good time." Let's go over the map and see where they are, we make an appropriate plan!" Kim said.
