The entire atmosphere trembled violently.
A deep vibration spread through the sky and earth together, strong enough to make the giant Bone Wall beneath everyone's feet shake faintly. The air itself suddenly felt heavier, compressed under some enormous pressure.
The light around the battlefield dimmed.
Every person standing atop the wall instinctively looked upward at the same time.
At first, they couldn't properly see anything. The sky above was covered in thick clouds, dark and heavy beneath the pale dawn.
Then suddenly
The clouds split apart.
Shooom. Shooom. Shooom. Shooom.
The sound came first.
Like thousands of arrows cutting through the sky at once.
