Chapter 73 – Heading to the Restaurant
After a few hours, Dante heard noise coming from downstairs. He then went to the apartment window and saw the moving truck arriving. From the window, Dante saw Amber and Jasmine down below.
Dante sighed and said: "And I think I have to go down to show them the apartment. After all, they don't know which one it is."
Dante then left the apartment and went down the stairs. While descending the stairs, Dante thought: Later I have to get someone to fix this elevator. It's really annoying having to go down the stairs every time.
When he reached the lobby, Dante saw Jasmine and Amber talking while the workers started unloading things from the truck.
Dante smiled and approached them, saying: "So, how were the shopping? Was it good? Did you buy everything?"
Jasmine, seeing Dante, said happily: "Yes, we managed to buy everything. I bought several beautiful decorations. It'll take a bit of work to arrange everything, but this decoration is totally worth it."
Amber smiled and said: "You always get excited about decorations. I told you that you could work with that. You have talent for it."
Jasmine smiled and said: "You're exaggerating. You know I don't have that much talent."
Dante smiled and said: "If you like it, you can try. There's no harm in wanting to try. Even if it doesn't become a real job, it can still be a good hobby. You lose nothing by trying."
Jasmine said smiling: "Okay, you convinced me. I'll think about it."
Amber said: "Cool! We managed to make this stubborn one agree."
At that moment, one of the workers who was doing the job approached. He then looked at Dante, Jasmine, and Amber and said: "Excuse me, but could one of you show us the apartment where we need to store the furniture?"
Dante said: "Ah yes, sorry for the lack of attention on my part. You can follow me. I'll show you where the apartment is that you're going to put these furniture in."
The worker said: "Yes, thank you very much."
Dante said: "Then let's go, everyone. Just follow me."
He then went up with the workers who were carrying the furniture to the apartment.
Jasmine and Amber watched this and smiled.
Amber said: "Cool. After our apartment here is ready, we can send the address to our dad. After all, he always wanted to come visit us."
Jasmine said: "Yes, true. He always calls to know how we are and if Dante is treating us well. He's always complaining about Dante."
Amber smiled and said: "Our dad approves of Dante. He just doesn't want to admit it, but he likes him."
At that moment they heard a voice: "Excuse me, are you the new tenants?"
Amber and Jasmine looked at who asked and saw Penny.
Jasmine smiled and said: "Yes, we're arriving today."
Penny said: "Ah, so you two are the girlfriends Dante mentioned."
Amber said: "Yes, we are. But sorry, who are you? I don't recognize you."
Penny said: "That's true, I didn't introduce myself. My name is Penny. I knew about you because I met Dante a few hours ago and we talked a little. He said his girlfriends were moving in, so I got curious and ended up asking if it was you."
Jasmine, hearing this, smiled and said: "Yes, it's us. Pleasure to meet you, Penny. I'm Jasmine and this is my sister Amber."
Amber smiled and said: "Pleasure to meet you, Penny."
Penny said in shock: "Wait, you are sisters and dating the same guy? How is that possible?"
Penny then calmed herself and said: "Ah, sorry. I didn't mean to sound rude. It's just that it's something very different from what I'm used to."
Jasmine smiled calmly and said: "Yes, no need to apologize. I understand. It's kind of surprising, but Amber and I fell in love with him, so we decided not to mind these small things and be happy by his side."
Amber said smiling: "And there's also his cultural situation and several other small reasons, but the most important thing is that we are happy."
At that moment Dante came down the stairs and saw them. He then greeted Penny: "Oh, Penny. What a pleasant surprise. So you already met the girls? They are very nice, don't you think?"
Penny smiled and said: "Yes, I met them. And yes, they are very nice."
Dante then said to Amber and Jasmine: "Well, girls, the guys are already arranging the things, but they're going to take a little while because they have to climb these stairs. So we can go eat something nearby while they finish the work. What do you think?"
Jasmine said smiling: "Yes, for me it's a great idea. I'm already a little hungry."
Amber said: "I wouldn't mind at all eating a steak with french fries."
Dante smiled and said: "Then it's decided."
He then looked at Penny and smiled, asking: "Penny, wouldn't you have a place nearby to recommend to us? After all, you've lived here longer, so you must know a restaurant around here."
Penny said: "Well, I work at a restaurant nearby, about ten minutes by car from here. If you want to have your meal quickly, that's a good place."
Dante said: "Well, perfect. Then let's go. After all, the guys are still going to take a good while."
He then called a taxi. He then looked at them and said: "So let's go."
They then got into the taxi and headed toward the restaurant.
