The writ did not stay one posting on the national board for more than an hour. It forked into a dozen enforcement orders, each dressed as ordinary law aimed at the seven signed gates.
Diana held the channels open and watched the orders land on the member cities one after another. She read each one aloud as it hit, and none of them mentioned a strike team or a blade at all.
"The first order freezes every public contract touching the route, so no signing city can pay a dispatcher or bank a toll," Diana said, pinning the freeze live.
The second order named every rider on the Confederated Route an enemy contributor of the capital. The third offered their seized property to the champion, listing him by name rather than by office.
Nox read the three orders off her channel and did not move off the intersection yet. Ardent had built a law that reached past him into every gate that signed, and she had priced their signatures as the crime.
