Vasa marked the survival-cost standard onto the records glass and pushed it live as the public overlay. Her column priced what each fighter had spent to hold the tier, leaving out the ground the Hall tallied after. The two columns would post one result to two different totals.

"Survival cost goes up as the public overlay," Vasa said, sending the column onto the field. "The core scores the raw fight, my column names the price it charged, and the rector's objective value posts against it on the same list, so the nation reads both totals at once."
