Jax surrendered his weapons at the Crowncast studio entrance because the appearance contract granted access only as a civilian guest. The guard sealed each item beneath a camera and issued a receipt that named Crowncast as temporary custodian.
His old sponsor armor waited inside the lobby.
The gold plates had been repaired after the checkpoint fight, though the divine channels remained empty where Astra's contract once filled them. A display beneath the armor called it the equipment of Earth's rightful first hero.
"You do not have permission to use my name on that claim," Jax said to the producer escorting him.
"The exhibit identifies a historical public figure. Your appearance agreement permits discussion of your school record," she replied.
Jax opened his copy to the final page before answering. Crowncast's legal team had resisted that page for two hours, then accepted it because Dorian wanted him inside the national studio before the Hunger Road story lost control.
