Chapter 361 - C361 : Gods In The Dungeon

The guild master, with a sizable number of the guild's enforces assembled nearby. Royman wiped his brow, not knowing if he was making a mistake right now or not, even so he had to attempt this.

"Mister, uh, Shurry, was it?" Royman spoke, still catching his breath.

"Hmm? What is it you want, fat old man?" Shurry asked, without a care in the world while the others got busy making final preparations.

Royman looked at the wolves and sighed, finally recovering his breath. He saw that some gods had already mounted them, some enjoying the feel of their fur.

"You're not planning on bringing gods into the dungeon, are you?"

"Hmm? I am. What of it?"

"Gods are not allowed in the dungeon."

"Why?" Shurry retorted sarcastically.

"Because… Wait, you already know don't you?!"

"Perhaps I do."

"Then why would you bother bringing them in?!"

"Because, I've killed the black dragon before. And there isn't a lot of time left before this bunch of idiots need to defeat it. Their safety is guaranteed as well, so there's no need to worry about anything."

"But, I can't just let you go."

Shurry rubbed the bridge of his nose, and sighed.

"Honestly, it's hard to tell who's more insufferable, you, Loki, or Freya… I still haven't decided." He paused. "What say you Ouranos? I can bring them down with me, right?"

"Tell me why you aren't bringing Hathor, but Nernatti and others from her familia are with you?"

"Oh that's an easy one! That's because at level 10, the blood of the follower is enough to update one's status. And at level 13, it's enough to be a stand-in, even if the god returned to Tenkai…"

"Meaning, that you can both create opportunities for them to level up and actually let them advance like so. You're from Hathor familia."

"Correct, correct, and right again. I am Shurry, the Moon Pup, the Origin Wolf, the Champion Over Calamity, and the Hero who slew the One-Eyed-Black-Dragon in my timeline. I am a member of my Mother Hathor's familia."

"You intend to have them grow stronger, by levels… Very well, Granted. You may bring them with you into the dungeon's depths."

"Sweet, I was gonna do it anyway, but this makes it easier for Royman to save some face." Shurry chuckled.

Royman was about to protest, but he couldn't bring himself to do so, and Shurry had already begun to wrap up the finishing touches on the advancements into the dungeon.

"Guild, go out on patrol, we're done here." Royman ordered, and went back to the guild.

The crowd watched in shock as the guild retreated in the face of a hero… A notion that everyone knew had to be the truth now, after all no gods dared to speak out against it. To the people living in the city of heroes, they were witnessing an honest to goddess, Hero. One who hopped timelines to lend a hand in teaching others to rise up.

"Good, everyone's ready, right?" Shurry asked, looking around.

"Is everyone ready to depart?" Finn set his spear into the ground. "Good, we'll split into two groups to avoid crowd… Ouch!" He stopped once a heavy chop landed on his head.

"What's the big idea, Finn? You really think you have what it takes to command when I'm around?"

"Huh? I'm the captain of my familia."

"So what? There's plenty of others here ready to go. Now get into formation and stop wasting time." Shurry spoke with an undertone shaking Finn's body. "Crowding is just an excuse for everyone to crawl through the floors. It's currently less than an hour past dawn. We're going to move together, and reach floor 28 before noon. Any questions?"

Bell spoke up a little confused. "Origin Wolf, isn't that…"

Everyone looked at Bell thinking he was going to say fast and suggest the 18th floor instead… The look was clear on their faces.

"...a little slow paced? I know we have gods with us this time, but shouldn't we manage the 39th floor?"

"HUH! Bell that's really far down there." Finn attempted to assuage the group and give Bell a lesson.

"Hmm, you're right, but the gods despite having resilient minds… I should know that better than anyone…" He said scoffing, and folding his arms. "Their bodies are at best level 1. So it limits our speed considerably. Plus I'm sure they'll want something to eat mid way through."

"You sure it's not you that wants a monster rex sized meal?" Bell said with a natural and friendly jab.

"Alright, alright. Give me a break, I eat a lot. Any more questions? If not…" He looked around… "3… 2… 1…" Shurry darted off.

The rest of the group was shocked by the boom he created from the movement. However, the wolves went for it too, Bell dashed forward, all of them creating sonic booms of their own.

"Damn they're fast." Leon said with a wry smile.

"Tch, They're not faster than me, DAMN IT!" Allen shouted as he burst off, barely creating a sonic boom of his own.

Quickly, the group disappeared into the dungeon, and the calm finally came to the surface. Without any issues on the way down. Shurry appeared on the 28th floor in a matter of a minute. He let out some wolves to go hunting, crossed his arms, turned, and using light platforms in a unique way made it look like he was floating on air while meditating.

First to arrive was the obvious, his wolves which carried the several gods down to the dungeon.

"AHh!!! That was too much, my head's still throbbing from the alcohol I had last night!" Loki complained, falling off the wolf's back. To which he sat down, and just looked at her with a tilted head. And as if he liked teasing, howled. "AHH! Damn it!" Loki screamed, crying at the sound, but couldn't bring herself to hate the thing.

"Loki, if you promise to bring Finn back in line, I'll mend your headache right now."

"Done! Ow!" Loki agreed, though the shout hurt her too… She hurt herself in her confusion. Then the headache vanished as if there'd never been an issue. "That's some magic, it's strong enough to handle breaking through my arcanum."

An hour went by with the gods each taking their time to enjoy the scenery under the protection of the wolves before Bell showed up, sweating his ass off. Those without the level required to traverse the floors as easily, arriving just a few seconds after Bell thanks to the other wolves which carried them.
