The cold bars resounded through the halls like bongs to metal, as the hoarse screams of a boy were heard.
Many voices melted into each other as a small group of people were shoulder to shoulder in a circle.
Their mumbles and hushed murmers eerily mixed with the boy's now silent screams.
"This year-" One demanded.
"Maybe next year..." One proposed.
"Not enough time-" One reprimanded.
The boy turned to begging to see his parents but the group discussed like they didn't hear a word.

Nora was knawing on her pencil as she stared at the board her head spinning as degrees and angles mixed together in her mind.
'Out of all subjects that get to stay, they chose math? I'm pretty sure they skipped a couple of grades too!'
Nora who was used to being top of her class looked at the blackboard in confusion realizing she only recognized half of the terminology being used.
She moved her head up and down at her notes and the board and Ms.Dellis's scribbling and felt an onset of tears about come.
She clearly wasn't the only as some kids only pretended to take notes and her friend Nora had her face planted on her paper with dampness around the center, clearly sobbing.
"Now I expect for you guys to have memorized these terms by next class.." her voice trailed on and on as the spirits of many students already reached heaven and chatted with their grandparents.
