In an instant, he detected the escaping soul of the Witch Demon, accompanied by a piercing shriek. A dark, obscure light almost miraculously struck the escaping soul, and amid the huge tearing force, Shawn captured the Witch Demon's soul into his palm.
This scene left the nearby Undead Wizards with faces full of shock, a hint of disbelief on their withered faces.
To Shawn, this was nothing short of a miracle, as challenging as an ordinary person shooting and hitting a bullet fired by an enemy. The instant a Witch Demon dies, their soul rapidly transfers to the phylactery, with speed almost impossible to capture, but he just grabbed it.
Almost at the moment the Witch Demon's soul fell into his palm, faint cracks appeared on the surface of a hidden phylactery.
