Aurelia Shaw read over the words on the paper one by one, her peach blossom eyes turning slightly cool, the crimson corners of her lips hooking into a chilling arc. "Heh, they actually dare lay a hand on my man."
Hadrian Turner's face flushed slightly red.
His chest started pounding violently.
He clearly knew she wasn't talking about him, yet hearing that woman's soft, faintly cold voice say those words still somehow felt… insanely attractive.
"I, I'll help you pull up the surveillance along the route," Hadrian stammered, his face in front of the computer screen red enough to bleed, the rapidly flickering monitor reflecting that rather decent-looking, delicate face.
"Okay." Aurelia didn't reject him with any fake modesty.
Given the situation right now, there was no room for that kind of hypocritical back-and-forth.
