Woken up by the alarm in the morning, Aurelia Shaw didn't see Mason Nightshade. She groped for her phone to call him.
"Hello, where did you go?" Her lazy voice carried a raspy note of just waking up.
Mason Nightshade felt a ripple in his heart, a smile touching his lips as he spoke softly, "I had some matters to take care of. You be good, I asked Ms. Rong to make you breakfast. Wash up and then go eat."
He paused, seeming to guess her thoughts, and his voice deepened as he said, "No eating in bed!"
The thought that had just emerged was immediately shot down by Mason Nightshade. Aurelia Shaw heard what seemed like noise from his side and, considering his profession, she didn't dare to disturb him further. "I know, go do your thing. I'm not a three-year-old; I'll take good care of myself. I'll wait for you to have dinner together tonight."
