Although their rank isn't low, the actual strength they can exert is limited.
Mostly at the Legendary Tier, with the strongest at the Epic level, a truly Saint-empowered Ancestor Spirit has never appeared.
For if they had such power, they would have long become true Divine Spirits.
The Ancestor Spirits of powerful clans are qualified to enter the Divine Hall and be enshrined!
In a sense, Ancestor Spirits can actually be regarded as a kind of natural spirit.
The reason the Beast Ear Clan can thrive in a corner of the Forgotten Forest is largely because the Natural Pantheon respects their Ancestor Spirit.
As for why the Natural Pantheon later regretted it... that's a matter of complex games behind the scenes.
