Cecilia teleported away, sweat dripping down her brow with how close she'd come to death.
As she appeared in the air, the wind that had followed her teleportation whipped around her, flapping her hair into her face. She'd escaped the dragon's paw by a hairsbreadth. If she'd been just a fraction of a second late, she'd already be dead.
Her hair had come loose out of her ponytail, waving this way and that, but she paid it no mind. After all, she wasn't just focused on her sight for seeing. She also had heat senses.
And it was those senses that warned her just in time.
Her head snapped upwards and she stretched her hand as the young dragon that had been hiding in the dark clouds descended, firing a missile of blue flames.
It whistled towards her, but Cecilia didn't flinch, her fire streaming out of her like a net. It encircled the blue flame and she yanked.
The fire changed direction, whistling downwards to hit the adult dragon.
