The second bell rang, breaking the silence between them. Lucian came to his senses, shaking his head slightly.
It might seem pretty exaggerated, but he wouldn't be lying if he said he saw a faint light surrounding Nathan, enveloping him in a mystical way.
The latter turned his head again, completely ignoring him. He didn't let him finish as he continued on his way.
Lucian desperately went to grab his arm, gripping it tightly and not letting go. His emotions were a chaotic mess, like they always were when he was in front of Nathan.
"Wait! We need to talk!" he insisted, his voice hesitant and urgent.
Annoyed, Nathan jerked his arm from his grip and gave him a displeased look. His brow furrowed, and his face turned frigid.
"Let go," he exclaimed, trying so hard to shake off Lucian's hand as he just kept walking without minding him.
Lucian was taken aback for a moment. A slight gasp escaped his mouth. Still, he persisted, following beside him, trying to keep him from leaving.
