With their current strength, if Nash were to trade directly with other teams, much less getting paid, he might be threatened to work as a slave.
It was still fine dealing with the mechanical race or the other major teams, as they had a reputation to uphold.
However, Nash felt cold just thinking about dealing with the other top-level teams.

Getting 20% of Nash's production capacity was better than a one-time deal.
As for acting as a guarantor, it didn't add any burden to them.
