"Is this where you live in this world, Shichen-nii? It's so luxurious—like a castle."
"This big villa looks way better than the outside of our coffee shop."
"I still like the coffee shop more."
"Classic isekai—this architecture is so European."
"So this is another world? Doesn't feel that different."
"Let's assign rooms first."
Everyone had come to the Konosuba world, including Sella and the others.
There were a lot of people—no way everyone could sleep together. Some preferred sleeping alone; others liked sharing with close friends.
But with dozens of people, dozens of rooms were unavoidable.
Fortunately, this was another world. They could use magic openly.
Shichen and Tohru started running around, using magic to expand the villa's interior space.
A fully legal renovation.
Kato Megumi and Jeanne helped too—both of them could use all of Shichen's abilities.
Still, there was a difference between them.
Megumi truly could use all of Shichen's abilities, including controlling the familiars, and she could resonate with divine power to strengthen them.
Jeanne, on the other hand, was better at Shichen's personal abilities. As for the familiars, she could only control their base forms and strengthen one of them.
On top of that, her control priority was lower than Shichen's and Megumi's.
Even so, with the authority they had, it made sense that those two were "Big Sis" and "Second Sis"—the number one and number two among all the sisters in the house.
As for Mio becoming "Third Sis," that was purely because of her own strength and how much she had helped Shichen.
No one else was idle. Since Megumin and the others were locals, they naturally led everyone around, helping them get familiar with the surroundings and introducing the culture.
Megumi and Jeanne didn't need an introduction at all. In practice, the two of them were even more familiar with this world than Megumin's group.
Axel might be the "starter town," but it was still a town—and it was packed with hidden monsters. It wasn't ordinary at all.
But none of that was something they needed to worry about. With their strength, they could handle anything.
Even Kasumigaoka Utaha would be fine.
Utaha was the most excited about the isekai. As a modern person, actually stepping into another world had her buzzing—she wanted to run off adventuring immediately.
But since everyone was unfamiliar with the place, they still needed guides.
Darkness volunteered to lead the group that wanted to tour Axel. Her interests were… special, but as a noble lady she had impeccable etiquette and presence.
And after Shichen's "training," she only turned that masochistic streak on him now.
Whenever Darkness was alone with Shichen, she instantly lost control—her strong, hard body would go soft, and she'd even start casting water magic without chanting.
Shichen had originally thought pushing her to the extreme might cause a rebound and "fix" her tastes.
Instead, it made her fall even deeper.
His own doing, so he could only accept it. And honestly, having one uniquely odd girl like Darkness around wasn't a bad thing.
Buying ingredients could've been handled by Tohru, Sella, and Leysritt—but those three didn't know the roads.
Aqua volunteered to guide them.
Shichen didn't trust her, so he had Yunyun go along.
With Aqua's personality, she would definitely make them buy random nonsense.
Meanwhile, Megumin—who was practically vibrating with impatience—took a group outside the city to show them monsters.
Shichen told Artoria to keep an eye on her.
Irisviel was also curious about this world's monsters, so she went too.
Illya and Sakura went along with the other kids—along with Ai Hoshino, and Kanna.
Rin was interested too.
And Lily, of course—Shichen had told her she could really shine in this world, so she had to see it for herself.
Shichen wasn't worried about their safety at all. The kids already had self-defense abilities, and Kanna was with them.
With Kanna's power, there weren't many in this world who could stand up to her. One dragon breath and it was over.
A lot of people stayed behind to pick rooms and set up furniture.
Shichen also told them this world would become one of their long-term "home bases."
No real danger, and it was like a game world—fight monsters, level up, learn skills and magic easily.
And the skills here were ridiculously broken. Magic was mostly raw destructive power.
If anyone understood how absurd this world really was, it was Rin.
Aqua's status as a goddess also made everyone finally accept it.
They had a hard time believing it before—Aqua always acted like a gag character, and she was so airheaded. Without having ever met a real goddess, it was hard to accept a goddess could be… that.
All anyone could say was: the creator god had a terrible sense of humor.
While Shichen's group expanded the rooms, Rem and the others cleaned.
Everyone else arranged their furniture.
By the time Sella and the others returned with ingredients, the new rooms were all finished.
More than enough.
Just in case more family members joined later.
Since the rooms were basically identical, there wasn't much "choosing," only distance:
Distance to Shichen's room, and distance to close friends' rooms.
Some people who were close even shared rooms.
Like Yuzuru and Kaguya.
Their relationship didn't even need the phrase "close"—they were basically twins split in two.
If you wanted "close friends," that would be more like Kurumi and Sawa—best friends.
Though because of Shichen, even best friends gained… a different kind of tension.
Sawa wanted to pull Kurumi into "teaming up" against Shichen, while Kurumi still couldn't accept it.
Out of everyone, only one person didn't take a separate room: Kato Megumi.
She shared with Shichen.
He could sleep with her, or leave her the room and crash with someone else.
Either way, nobody was sleeping much—so "crash" was the right word.
The room was huge. One person, two people—honestly, even thirteen people could fit.
Aurora and the other Fourth Progenitor "vessels" slept together.
Shichen loved sleeping with them.
It was winter—more bodies meant more warmth. Packed together, it felt ridiculously cozy.
The only downside: you might not sleep at all.
They were all "vessels" of the Fourth Progenitor, linked in mind, and all petite—legally and unmistakably loli.
Shichen adored them.
And since their capacity was limited, they could only take turns—so managing a whole night wasn't a problem.
Aurora initially couldn't accept it, but the others sided with Shichen and dragged her into the "battlefield" anyway.
Once it happened once, it happened twice.
Now she was used to it.
"Shichen, I bought alcohol—let's drink our fill later!" Aqua came back beaming, carrying two bottles.
"Is that even good compared to my alcohol?" Shichen couldn't hide his disdain. Compared to the bottles in the Gate of Babylon, this world's booze didn't even qualify.
He used to think alcohol was just alcohol—drink too much and you get drunk.
But the wine in the Gate of Babylon had shattered his worldview.
It was divine nectar.
It honestly felt like it could extend your lifespan.
And in a way, it could—those were basically elixirs. They strengthened the body and prolonged life.
"Of course it's not as good as yours," Aqua admitted cheerfully. "But coming back here makes me nostalgic. I want a taste."
"Fine. Then we'll drink properly tonight."
"Deal!"
They didn't rush to register everyone as adventurers.
The kitchen was renovated too—like the coffee shop, with lots of small tables for little groups.
Dinner went long. A lot of people got drunk.
Except for the little ones.
After eating, the kids still had endless energy and ran outside to play again.
With Kanna there, Shichen wasn't worried.
He and Megumi carried the drunk ones back to their rooms.
Jeanne got drunk too—she was babbling nonsense, with zero "saint" aura left.
Shichen was used to it by now.
Once everyone was settled, the house became unexpectedly quiet.
"Shichen… should we… rest too?" Megumi looked at him, eyes shimmering.
Shichen raised an eyebrow. "You sure?"
"Don't you want to?"
"How could I not?"
Shichen scooped Megumi up in a princess carry and took her to his room.
He walked to the bed and tossed her onto it without ceremony.
She bounced twice.
"You're so rough," she complained.
"You have no idea how tempting you are to me."
Shichen climbed onto the bed too, hovering over her, looking down with a burning gaze.
"Is that so…" Megumi hooked an arm around his neck. "Then show me."
"Gladly."
Shichen lowered his head and kissed her—starting gentle, then turning possessive.
Megumi quietly returned the kiss.
After a long while, a soft cry of pain slipped from her lips—and she finally understood just how tempting she was to Shichen.
