Synopsis
Granted access to the Chaos Gacha after his last life, Ronan Wolfe finds himself alone in Marvel. Locked away from the world, it was time for Chaos and Freedom.

Chapter 1 - Awakening

Ronan was sitting at the bar, staring down into his beer. It was empty. That was a problem. He raised his head to call over the bartender and get another one, but he was at the other end of the bar. 

"Here you go, a shot to solve your problem."

A man dressed in a strange cloak and fedora slid a shot glass over to him. Ronan looked at him drunkenly in confusion. He'd never had a dude buy him a drink.

"Drink that, and you'll have the opportunity to solve all your problems."

Then he stood up and walked off. Ronan just sat there, confused as he eyed the shot glass suspiciously.

 Fuck it, what else was he gonna do tonight?

He snatched it up and downed the thing. Nothing happened, so he got up and decided to end the night, and started walking home. He made it to his apartment stairwell and was on the way up when his vision blurred into a vast spiral of energy and multicolored energy. 

The iridescent spiral was vast and all-encompassing. There was no beginning and no end. The world was swallowed up into this vast whirlpool of energy, and so was he.

Ronan awoke to someone shaking his shoulder.

She was saying something and he couldn't really hear anything. 

His senses were coming back to him then and he sat up. She leaned away from him as he lurched up and tried to get to his feet. His head was pounding and their was something blocking his vision. He swatted at it and it faded slightly, not gone but not a problem. 

"Hey, are you alright? You seem to be alright so I'm just going to go now."

Ronan now mostly conscious watched her about to leave and said quickly, "Thank you. I'm glad you found me and not someone else. What time is it?"

She looked at him and said, "It's around 6:30 in the morning and I've got to get to work, so goodbye."

She started to walk away again and he yelled out, "Wait, what's you name?"

She stopped again, this time more annoyed. "It's Karen and you're welcome. Now, I really have to go." Then she walked off down the stairs her flats clicking away at each step. 

As Karen left, Ronan finally had the time to look at the faded screen blocking his vision. 

Congratulations! You have gained a connection to the one and only Chaos Gacha! With this connection comes access to your character profile, the Gacha, Feat System, and one Random Gacha Ticket. Ronan didn't want something to happen like he had collapsed last night, so he decided to make it the rest of the way to his dingy one room apartment. He collapsed on the bed and braced himself as he thought yes at the screen. Instantly, a slot appeared in front of him along with a single needle that indicated where it would stop and what he would get. The slot showed a massive amount of things that seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. He could swear he saw Pikachu pass by. Then it eventually came to a stop.

Nothing really seemed to change for him and he didn't really know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't for the system to effect something as ephemeral as luck. His first thought was that he should at least give gambling a go. So he figured that his best option was to give online gambling a go. Ronan opened up one of the many online blackjack gambling sites and decided to throw $20 in. He was simply flabbergasted as his first hand was a blackjack. His $20 dollars was now $50 as the dealer ended up bust at 22. Ronan continued that throughout the day as his next game got him to $100 then he progressed. It seemed like no matter what he did he seemed to just win. After $100, it was $250, $500, $1000, $2500, $5000, and $10000. He had finally reached the maximum betting limit of the online site. It had only taken him 8 bets to change his life. 

This would be a problem. Ronan may have been hungover, but he wasn't stupid. This wasn't yet a problem, but soon he would have to pay taxes on this. Thankfully the casino's information page helpfully informed him that taxes needn't report his winnings until he surpassed $10,000. Thankfully he stopped just before. From now on he planned to only bet cash. However the first thing that he needed to do is address the feats that just appeared before him after winning $10,000.

One of them had appeared earlier but he didn't pay attention to it. Now that his rent for the next few months were taken care of he had time to goof off. especially since he didn't have a job anymore.

That's why he had been in that bar drinking his sorrows away. He had been fired from McRonald's that very morning because they were apparently overstaffed. So he ended up in that bar where he received this amazing power that had indeed changed his life. So now he decided to roll those tickets, starting with the Bronze ticket.

He felt a light ticklish sensation near the corners of his eyes but that was it. He chuckled a little at how stupid that roll had been then moved onto the next Bronze Ticket.

A large indistinct military tank with infinite fuel and tank shells inside of it. Fuel and shells cannot be taken out of the vehicle.

Now that was a crazy ticket. Not that he could use it without getting arrested, but maybe he could sell it. Next up, the Silver Random ticket.

The weapon can be compacted and carried or shifted into several forms for combat, such as a rifle or war scythe. It also comes with a magazine of dust sniper rounds of your choice(Fire, Ice, Gravity, or Electric) every 24 hours.

This one was cool. He materialized it watched in awe at the weapon in his hand. A giant scythe with a thick handle laid in his hands. It wasn't that heavy, maybe about 30 pounds. annoying to wield for long but not bad to just lift up. He tested the edge with a piece of paper on his desk and proceeded to watch the scythe slice the paper with almost no force. He needed to move on though and so he focused and watched the scythe dissipate. Then he opened the last ticket. 

[Aerolite Bar]

Well, this had been a bust. Other than the scythe-gun and tank there wasn't much he could do with what he'd gotten. He materialized an Aerolite bar since it said it would restock in 8 hours, but maybe he'd be able to pawn it off to someone. The bar was a bizarre bright turquoise and gold and it certainly looked unusual he decided that for now it would go on as a paperweight. For today, he needed to get more acquainted with his new system. He went back to his initial messages and focused on the character profile and boom, there it was.

It was rather simplistic but it did seem to have everything to do with the Gacha that he needed. The only thing it told him that he didn't already know was that his universe was called Universe 616. 

His next goal was basically just to make money. He guessed that his next goal was to 1000X his money to get the next rank of his feats or do something different that was also considered impressive. He figured that for now, he would just go for a walk and see what happened. So that's what he did. 

He walked along the streets of Hell's Kitchen soon crossing into Manhattan proper. On the way he bumped into a variety of interesting people. There was a blind man walking down the sidewalk with an interesting level of assurance despite the roller cane he held. A man with a long dark cloak and an eye patch like a pirate who was closely followed by a smoking hot redhead. There was an absolutely monstrous looking black man walking down the sidewalk with a mean look on his face, and a man who stepped out of a limo directly in front of him followed by two bodyguards. All of these people he had a faint inkling that he would one day meet them again. Soon though he found himself tripping into a large Asian man in odd martial arts robes who he could swear hadn't been there a second ago. 

"Sorry about that, I don't know how I missed you."

The man looked at him up and down and said, "How'd you do that? You shouldn't have been able to interact with me."

Ronan looked at him in puzzlement and asked, "What do you mean?". Then he received yet another prompt from his system.

He sucked in a gasp as he realized that he may have just done something by accident he didn't want to touch. 

Wong, as he now knew was this man's name, eyed him and said, "If you ever find yourself lost with no idea what to do next, come here and ask for Wong."

The man, Wong, passed him a business card and seemed to vanish from in front of him. Ronan looked down at the card and it only had one address on it. 177A Bleecker Street.

Well, he decided that that was probably enough for the day. So he retreated to a small alcove in central park for his next Gacha roll. 

Once he had looked around and discovered no one else in his area he rolled it.

Instantly he felt his mind burst with formula and algorithm's as the skill integrated into his mind. knowledge was shoved in their like a foot into a climbing shoe. In other words, it hurt. As an unknown length of time went on, his head ache improved and eventually ceased, leaving behind what basically seemed to be an extreme intuition and sense for numbers. He got the sense that he could just keep going and he probably wouldn't finish it for a while. It was interesting how the skill seemed to just express itself as a series of mathematical instincts that he didn't have to put much effort into. Either way it wouldn't really help him with anything conventional in life unless he had a background in it. Maybe he could go get a job as a mathematics professor or as a math teacher. He decided that for now he would just go home and digest his gains for the day. 

Unfortunately, for him something else seemed eager to take up his attention as four young men loomed around him. One tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Hey, hand over your wallet, keys, whatever you got. Just empty out your pockets then give up your jacket and your shoes."
