"But beautiful things are always more pleasing to the eye, right?" Scott Lang shrugged nonchalantly.
"Usefulness is the only true measure!"
"Stark, you're making it sound like beautiful things are useless," Thor couldn't help but interject. "This sac is indeed more aesthetically pleasing, but strictly speaking, it's actually better than the Capsule Corp.."
"Is that so, Mr. Thor?" Peter Parker immediately leaned closer, curious.
"Stark, the Capsule Corp. can only hold objects, not living things, right?" Thor asked, looking at Tony Stark.
Tony Stark was somewhat surprised. He stared at Thor and asked, "Can your sac do that?"
Although Tony Stark didn't directly answer Thor's question, this question itself was an answer.
The Capsule Corp. indeed couldn't hold living things.
"That's right, the sac can!" Thor immediately grinned smugly.
If a sac could only hold objects, it would simply be another universal capsule. But a sac can hold living beings!
"A sac can hold living beings? Mr. Thor, can I go in and try it?" Peter Parker's eyes widened with excitement. He was eager
to try it out, itching to experience what it was like inside.
"Of course," Thor smiled at Peter Parker.
"Really? That's great!" Peter Parker almost jumped for joy.
"But I need to knock you out first," Thor added casually, making Peter Parker's smile freeze.
"Why, Mr. Thor? Are you kidding me?"
"Because a sac can only hold creatures without consciousness, understand?" Thor explained to Peter Parker.
Peter Parker suddenly understood, but he had no choice but to abandon his unrealistic idea.
What difference would it make if he went in unconscious or not?
Perhaps the only difference would be getting a beating from Thor for nothing.
[Answer complete, starting the answer analysis!] A system
notification suddenly sounded, interrupting everyone's attention, and a corresponding video appeared on the big screen.
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
First, a door appeared on the screen, secured with three electronic locks and one mechanical lock, leaving everyone speechless.
What kind of person would install so many locks on one door?
Even burglary prevention wouldn't be this effective!
Then, the locks were opened one after another, and a group of people pushed open the door and walked in.
It was Peter Parker who opened the door, Aunt May was also there, and the other group was undoubtedly the people from other universes mentioned in the title.
"Where's Connors?"
Peter Parker couldn't help but ask Aunt May.
"He said he'd rather stay in the car," Aunt May replied.
"Okay!"
Peter Parker then entered, carefully closing the door behind him. "I feel a little bad for Happy."
"It's okay, he won't say anything," Aunt May said.
This conversation left everyone watching a bit confused. How did this involve Happy?
Tony Stark, however, immediately understood after being reminded, saying with some bewilderment, "This is Happy's house!"
"Happy's house?" Thor couldn't help but retort, "So Peter Parker brought a group of visitors home, not to his own house, but to Happy's house?"
What kind of "going home" is that?
After all, the word "going back" implies a place Peter Parker used to frequent, otherwise, why would it be called "going back"?
"And Aunt May is acting like the lady of the house... Oh, Peter, it seems your Aunt May and Happy are really going to be together in the future!"
Scott Lang couldn't help but laugh from the side.
In the previous question about who was considered the Stark heir, Happy and Aunt May had already shown a very ambiguous relationship; it was obvious to everyone that they were flirting.
Now, unexpectedly, things have taken a real turn.
On the screen, the scene continued to move.
Several "oddballs" walked into the house.
One of the Black men in work clothes gestured towards the television, and it turned on automatically.
Everyone watching immediately guessed that this must be Electro.
After all, electricity and magnetism are inseparable, and if any of the four candidates could control magnetic fields, Electro was the obvious choice.
A person made of sand sat down on the sofa without any hesitation, and sand immediately slid off, scattering sand all over the sofa.
"Oh, sorry,"
the sand person said, reaching out to brush the sand off the cushions, but only brushed more sand off the sofa.
This sand person was completely baffling.
He clearly didn't fit any of the four candidates.
Therefore, he must be someone outside the options.
"Is this your plan, Peter?"
a voice rang out, and a man wearing glasses, with a metal tentacle wrapped around his body, looked at Peter Parker and said, "No lab, no equipment, what miracles can you create in an apartment?"
"What, are you planning to cook some fried dough sticks and frozen tortillas in the microwave?"
Everyone immediately guessed that this guy must be Doctor Octopus.
Obviously, the "octopus" in the nickname "Doctor Octopus" refers to his metal tentacles.
"I can make tortillas, though," another seemingly kind and amiable old man interjected.
This man was very well-known, and many people recognized him at a glance—it was Norman Osborn.
Of course, even if they didn't recognize him, everyone could guess: of the four options, Doctor Octopus and Electro were confirmed, the Lizard Man was in the car, and the Sand Man was obviously not Green Goblin.
There was only this seemingly kind old man left.
It's unclear what Peter Parker intended to do with all these oddballs at home.
Doctor Octopus mentioned laboratories and experimental equipment, indicating they desperately needed these things.
It seems they were conducting some kind of scientific research or creating something.
As of now, no one knows for sure, but Captain America couldn't help but warn him.
"Peter, whatever your purpose, bringing a bunch of enhanced beings from other universes home like this is very dangerous,"
Captain America solemnly reminded Peter Parker. "Especially since you've dragged May into this; it's extremely unwise."
Enhanced beings are incredibly destructive; if they harbor malicious intent, it could be a disaster!
Therefore, unless they are absolutely trusted enhanced beings, no one else should be brought home.
However, the title also states that these individuals are from other universes!
Captain America thinks it's highly unlikely that Peter Parker could trust them to be good people; even if Peter Parker did believe them, he'd most likely be deceived.
"You're first, Doctor!"
On the screen, Peter Parker walks towards Doctor Octopus and pats him on the shoulder.
"What? I told you, I don't need treatment! I don't need it!"
Doctor Octopus yells at Peter Parker, "Especially a teenager using junk from a bachelor's drawer!"
"No, no, no." Electro walks over curiously, "There's something in there, I can sense it, strange energy!"
At this moment, Peter Parker has reached a corner of a room and pulled back the cover of a machine resembling a washing machine.
An unassuming machine appears before everyone's eyes.
"What is this?" Norman Osborn can't help but ask.
"This is a Maker; it can analyze, design, and manufacture anything!" Peter Parker explains to everyone, then starts the machine.
The machine spins open like a Transformer, revealing an incredibly cool manufacturing platform before everyone.
Doctor Octopus and the others stared at the machine, marveling at its sophistication. They had never seen anything so advanced before.
Through this short video clip, they had a basic understanding of Peter Parker's purpose in bringing these people back.
It was likely to use the machine to cure their problems.
Even though these individuals possessed incredibly powerful and impressive abilities, from a biological perspective, they were undeniably ill. Their
bodies had developed serious ailments.
Needless to say, Peter Parker began using the machine to analyze Doctor Octopus.
"The chip behind the doctor's neck is used to protect his brain from the tentacle AI system,"
Peter Parker said, looking at the digital projection. "It also controls the tentacles behind him, but if you look closely, you'll see the chip is burnt!"
"So it's not him controlling the tentacles, but the tentacles controlling him! This explains why he looks so pained."
While Peter Parker was researching a treatment plan for Doctor Octopus, the other enhanced individuals waited throughout the room.
"Look at this place,"
Electro said, standing by the window, gazing at the world outside. "So many possibilities."
"What? This apartment?" Sandman interjected.
"Yes, the apartment. I like the floor plan… but not this world! I like who I am now. And look at that power source in the back. With it, I can do so much more."
Electro said, a meaningful smile creeping across his lips.
On the screen, Peter Parker's face darkened.
This Electro clearly harbored some dangerous ambition!
Everyone knew that Green Goblin had killed Aunt May, but there were four other enhanced beings from different universes in this room. What about the other three?
Would they choose to observe, or help either Green Goblin or Peter Parker?
No one knew.
But everyone felt that Electro was very likely helping Green Goblin fight Spider-Man.
Peter Parker was truly a troublemaker; how could he bring such a dangerous time bomb home so casually?
On the screen…
Peter Parker had already created a new chip.
"It's amazing!"
Norman Osborn exclaimed in admiration. "This technology, and you! After all this is over, if you want to find a job in another universe..."
Well, going to work in another universe is quite something.
Norman started recruiting Peter Parker.
"Success! Success!"
Peter Parker shouted joyfully, then took the completed chip to the living room.
"You, get your so-called scientific creations away from me!"
Doctor Octopus refused, but for some reason, the metal tentacles on his back wouldn't listen to him, holding him firmly in front of Peter Parker. He
could only watch helplessly as Peter Parker replaced the chip with the new one.
"I swear, once I break free of these tentacles, I will definitely..." Doctor Octopus, who was uttering threats, suddenly stopped and remained motionless.
"Doctor?"
"Doctor?"
Peter Parker called out for a while, and Doctor Octopus regained consciousness.
"So quiet... the voice in my head... I almost forgot..." Doctor Octopus seemed like a completely different person.
Clearly, Peter Parker's treatment had worked, and Doctor Octopus's problem was perfectly solved.
This was a good start, and Peter Parker, in high spirits, continued using the maker to create solutions for the other enhanced users' problems.
But suddenly,
Peter Parker, engrossed in his research, abruptly stopped, his face showing alertness.
He seemed to have sensed something.
He even stood up and searched the living room.
"This must be Peter Parker's unique perception ability,"
Thor couldn't help but say, his voice tinged with approval. "Danger prediction, I must say, this ability is quite impressive."
Nothing had happened on the screen; no one saw any signs of trouble.
But Peter Parker had already detected something.
This was clearly Peter Parker's spider-like precognitive ability—the ability
to foresee danger before it even appears!
This ability is incredibly useful.
It's just unknown what danger Peter Parker on the screen had foreseen.
"Peter? What's wrong?"
Doctor Octopus and the others on the screen began to ask Peter Parker.
"I don't know, I don't know either," Peter Parker replied absentmindedly, then continued searching the room, carefully examining everyone present.
